Ordered this jacket for our trip to Glacier National Park. It is expensive but it is also of very good quality. It is very comfortable.

Light, comfortable and wind/waterproof says it all. Great wrist guards also. Easy to tuck in chest waders for fishing in water all day.

Bought this jackets for me and my wife for outdoor travel activities. Pack away jacket travels easily and provides excellent warmth and rain protection. Have already worn the jacket for travel to Alaska, Grand Canyon and Hawaii. Only feature I recommend adding is a double zipper to allow raising the zipper while seated like on many other LL Bean coats and jackets.

This mid-weight jacket is my new go-to. Excellent in the rain and snow. The light lining keeps me surprisingly comfortable in varied temperatures. I can't believe it took me so long to find it.

Great jacket! Light weight with great insulation. I used it when cross country skiing in single degree temperatures. I even used the pit-vent with warmer temps

We got this jacket as a Christmas gift for our son and he absolutely loves it! The combination of features is outstanding, it's lightweight, warm, waterproof and looks great on him. The hood design is wonderfully functional. We are big fans of LL Bean!

I really love this jacket...It is a little long in the arms, but I can velcro it to tighten it. The color is great! Bright orange without looking like I am going hunting. More pockets than I need but happy to have them.

The jacket fits very comfortably. It is nice and warm and certainly protects one from wet weather. I like the orange color and enjoy wearing it on those gray rainy days.

I bought this Packable waterproof jacket for a trip to Iceland (which was warmer than New England by about 10-15 degrees F every day). It didn't rain while I was there, so I can't attest to the waterproof quality, but it perfectly protected me from wind, and kept me warm....and was SO EASY to stuff into the airplane overhead bin. It really does squish down. I'm able to keep a hat and gloves in the side pockets.
Also, I LOVE the chest pocket...it's perfect to keep a cell phone there, in easy reach. I went with the bright orange, which will be perfect for visibility on my walks around the neighborhood.

This jacket was a gift for my husband. He says it's light but it keeps him warm. He wanted this jacket to replace the first one I bought him in 2019. It lasted over six years.

This is surprisingly warm considering its bulk. It is actually waterproof, also very packable. The claim that it will stuff into its own pocket is overblown. It may be possible but certainly not by me. It will stuff into a fairly small stuff bag. This is great for Idaho where weather can change drastically. I can easily carry this in a small pack and rely on staying warm and dry.

Very pleased with this product as its first outing was a frigid, snowy, and rainy Vienna. Warm and waterproof, I'm confident, that with appropriate layers, it would be ideal for skiing or deeper cold. The coat performed perfectly in nasty, cold rain and has lots of pockets and storage options. The only "downside," if you are prone to being warm, you may need a lighter LL Bean option when the temp starts to creep north of 35 degrees F.

My husband bough this jacket a couple years ago and loves it so much that we got it for my dad for Christmas (in a different color, of course). It's so light weight yet super warm. Would recommend!

I had some apprehension when I purchased this jacket. I definitely intended it as a fall to winter transition jacket, with a thicker LL Bean, I already own, as the winter. But I wore this one a few days ago when it was 6 F out and it kept the wind out and the heat in, I was impressed.

Fits well and provides warmth in a wind. Wore it once in a light rain and it performed well. The zippers all work fine and are easy to use. The hood can be adjusted to be snug as desired. I am pleased to have it

This is my go-to jacket/overcoat for traveling and work wear. Comfortable alone in temps of 40-50 and a great addition to layers when temps drop into the 30's. Also waterproof and multiple pockets which make it extremely versatile.

My husband and I both just returned from a trip to Ireland and the UK with these jackets. They really exceeded our expectations, especially when the weather was very windy or we got caught in downpours. They kept us dry and warm, and the hoods stayed put in place without feeling restrictive. These jackets are also really lightweight and pack up easily into a daypack - and the wrinkles disappear quickly when you put the jacket back on again. Despite being lightweight, these jackets kept us warm when temperatures dropped into the 40s. It took a while to figure out how to zip the jacket into its pouch - the key is ensuring you stuff the jacket into the corners of the pocket which you can then zip closed. This is perfect for one-bag travelers facing a range of weather conditions. Truly 10/10 jacket.

I bought the women's version of this and found it such a perfect "shoulder season" coat that I tracked down the men's version. My husband loves it. It's waterproof, windproof, and warm, as advertised, and the slightly longer length is great for foul weather. And the attached hood make it more versatile.

With five other Bean jackets in my closet this, my sixth, is my favorite.
It is classy-looking, lightweight and warm.
What makes this possible is a version of Primaloft insulation called Androgel. It is incredibly warm for being so light-weight.
I wear a medium, which is more than 30-inches in center length, enough to cover a suit-coat, sportcoat or your untucked shirt.
The material feels wonderful and the zipper works smoothly.
I wish Bean would design the hood so it foldsinto and is concealed by the generously sized and great-looking collar.
Highest recommendation.
