I have five Bean jackets in my closest and this is my new favorite.
It is warm AND slim and lightweight.
If only the hood could fold out-of-sight into the wonderfully wide collar it would be perfect.
Highly recommended.

I was looking to replace a waterproof packaway jacket that I purchased from Bean many years ago, and this jacket is great, and it has a lining as well.

Good rain jacket with insulation is good into the mid-30s. Nice inside cuffs keep the cold out. Hood adjusts to fit and holds the adjustments between use. Comfortable.

I was impressed with this jacket from my husband having purchased it first. It is warm, lightweight and packs away inside itself. So, I bought one in size medium and tall for myself. It makes me a perfect 3/4 length travel coat!

Plenty of pockets and good insulation, water resistant exterior - good for walking outside when it is not parka weight cold;

The coat fits my husband well and is long enough for his six foot two frame. He loves the fact that it has a single zipper which is easier for him to quickly zip up the coat versus having a zipper that zips up and down. It is a beautiful shade of green.

Extremely light weight but kept me warm in a temperature range of 35/45 degrees. Add a sweater and you probably can wear in freezing temperatures. Love the two chest pockets for easy access to your phone.

Insulated jackets for men and women don't get much better than this.My wife owns two.
It's very warm (Primaloft Gold), machine washable, very light (men's M = 24 oz), packable, hidden pit zips. This jacket is windproof and doubles as a rain jacket in the fall, snow proof in the winter.
The longer length covers untucked shirts and sweaters.
You can wear it anywhere from a dog walk to church.

Incredible features, especially the stowaway feature, which would make this a great addition to your lightweight backpacking kit. The color, while substantial for deer hunting in states that require it, could be a little brighter and more blaze orange, rather than almost a salmon red.

Sheds water very well. Also is fairly warm in very cold weather if you wear a sweater underneath.

The Employees were very helpful and gave firsthand advice for my purchase. The Cashier had even been to Quebec, where I'm traveling to. She was able to give me good advice for how to handle the weather in that area of Canada.

I bought this jacket for my just completed Rhine River cruise and Amsterdam vacation. I I wanted a lightweight waterproof jacket for all the outside walking tours thru Germany and Amsterdam and this jacket was perfect for the mid 40's day temps and colder damp nights night temps. I wore a base layer and sweater underneath so would have been warm in lower temps. Didn't get any rain so can't review waterproofing. My wife also bought one and she liked it too. The pockets are great too for phone, gloves maps and more.

Nice jacket. I appreciate offering XXXL, along with the slightly fitted option.
Water proof and lightly insulted to keep out the cool fall Michigan rains.
I also appreciate the pit zip to assist in temperature regulation.
An all around comfortable and practical jacket.
