We bought this as a layering piece for our trip to Europe where we would be touring the Alps. This jacket provided the right amount of warmth and could easily be worn with another layer underneath.

The perfect Spring jacket. Lightweight for those windy March/April days. Looks great....fits great. Front top-pocket w/ zipper for the phone is very useful...nice job!

Suitable for temperatures from 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit as long as it is not too breezy, which gets me through much of the winter in southern New England. Shorter length means comfort in the car. Takes up very little room in a suitcase when necessary to pack along. Not cheap, but not outrageous, I believe I got it on sale at $30 off.

Nice jacket. Fits a bit snug. Very light, but warm and packs up to almost nothing.

My high school senior son loves this jacket because he can easily stuff it in his backpack :-). I get the mom relief that he has a jacket available to wear and he gets to be the cool kid who can wear only a hoodie when it is 20 degrees out. He pulls out the jacket from his backpack and wears it when no one is looking. Everybody is happy.

Excellent light outerwear for moderately chill temperatures. Sleeves rollup nicely as well if needed. Extremely light weight and easy to use. Easy to wash. I like this model so much I have purchased several.

I bought this for my husband and he says,"It is fantastic." It is packable, has plenty of pockets, and he likes the accent.

Warm, very lightweight, looks great. Husband is delighted with it. This purchase was to replace the same jacket he enjoyed for years until someone took it and left a similar but inferior jacket, likely on a coat rack.

Great mid weight jacket. Fitted to keep cold air out. Warms well above it's weight and the zippered vest pocket is a welcomed feature for me.

It arrived quickly enough. Upon unpacking it, my first impression was whether or not it would keep me warm enough as it seemed so thin. I reviewed LLB's definition of "Warmer" and decided it would be okay so I kept it. I bought it for a trip that hasn't happened yet so I cannot attest to the warmth of the jacket but I'm hoping it'll work out well.

I already owned this jacket, but decided to buy another because I like it so much. I live in Florida, but go on rugged wilderness canoe trips in the BWCA in MN or Quetico in Ontario in late September when it can get chilly, and this jacket is a perfect midweight layer for those trips, and weighs next to nothing in your pack. And if it gets really cold, you can just throw a rain shell over it. It's not as warm as down (I also have an L.L. Bean 850 fill down sweater jacket), but unlike down, it won't lose insulation if it gets wet, which is really important on these trips. So I'm leaving the older one, which is still in great shape, with all my canoe trip gear which is stored at a friend's house up north, and bought another one just to wear around town here. Even in Florida in the winter, it can get chilly enough for this jacket. I totally love it.

Love that this is for cool days, not cold. Living in Texas this jacket fits the bill for me, most of the time. It is built a little small but it works well.

I see that some reviewers complain that it is too thin to be warm. I also see that a service member wrote about the jacket that it is rated from +30-minus 15 degrees.
For me neither of these claims are true. The jacket is much warmer than I was expecting for its weight, and it is versatile. I can wear it inside when the room is chilly, and outside to walk in temperatures as low as 45 degrees, and run at about 8 mpm in temperatures down to zero. It is highly breathable too when I am running. That versatility makes it a great jacket for me. Of course you should not compare it to a much heavier and thicker jacket. I liked the jacket so much I also bought the vest, which fits under the jacket well and extends the comfort range substantially without much extra weight or bulk.
The collar is a great selling point for me; it is not tight and is high enough to just reach the bottom of my chin.
One thing I would request they change is putting more insulation, maybe 50% more, in the front body of the jacket, leaving the current sleeves and back the same. It seems clear that your chest area needs more insulation than your arms and back.
