I've had one of these coats for 5 years. Awesome all the way around. Comfortable, looks good, good pockets, great fit. Getting another in a different color. We live in NW PA where we get a lot of snow and cold weather. This is a great winter coat no matter how cold.

This is my third jacket and I like it just like the first two. Unfortunately the first one (BLUE) was stolen. (Well, I left it in a hotel in Geneseo NY and they called me two weeks later saying they had it. I asked if they could ship it to me and said I'd have to wait until the manager returned. By the time we traded multiple voice mails, I finally got to speak to the manager, however, the person who called to tell me the jacket was there was no longer working there, and they said the jacket was not in lost and found anymore.) My second one (RED) has a sleeve that was burned by the exhaust on my snowblower so that's upstate as a backup jacket just in case. This third one (GREEN) is just like the first two.
It's warm enough when it's cold, and not too hot when it's cool. It's comfortable, and I like the inside zip pocket. The two outside pockets are good for the hands to keep warm, and if I could make a suggestion for future jackets of this type, ... Have the zippers zip DOWN to close, so gravity is working for you and not against you to keep them closed. This has always been a curiosity of mine for most jackets and coats. The pockets always seem to zip up to close.
5 Stars for this jacket, once again.

Bought this for my son who goes lives in a very cold-weather climate. So far, it hasn't gotten incredibly cold yet, but he has found the jacket to be warm, extremely comfortable, and roomy. He is 5'8" and 135 lbs, so the Men's Medium is roomy enough over t-shirt and sweatshirt. The flannel/Thinsulate lining is soft and warm. Outside material/texture is not shiny or super slick--it has a soft feel and a more muted, non-shiny look. Jacket feels lightweight, not heavy. Hoping it withstands very cold winter up north.

Bought iThis for my son and sent it to CA. I'm sure he'll love it but I'll let you know. Also the jeans.

Keeps me very warm. Collar goes up above chin when needed on windy days. Like pockets for cell phone. Would buy again in a heartbeat!!!
Wear this with jeans...looks great. Could easily wear to work but have another ll bean coat for work...business casual.

Beautiful Color (I got Spruce), excellent midweight, the zippered fleece lined pockets have delayed my need to dig up my mittens.

The jacket is a perfect fit. Persimmon was ordered in place of navy. Big mistake since that color doesn't coordinate with many colors so it was retuned for navy. Perfect fit, color and very nice jacket. LLBean is always a dependable company to buy from.

I recently purchased a fleece lined warm-up jacket. For $99 this is a good bargain. It has quickly become my favorite jacket. Well constructed with a heavy duty zipper.

Had my 1st Warm-up jacket for approx. 15 years. Very comfortable - wore it all the time until the zipper finally jammed. Have other jackets, but this quickly became my go-to jacket. Just bought the jacket again. I highly recommend it. The sleeve liner material is well designed allowing you to slip it over a fleece jacket (base layer) for extra warmth in the colder weather. The outer shell is durable. A great all around jacket for driving or just walking around. I like the style. The jacket looks good and does the job at a good price from a first class company.

This is my second warm up over the years...truly an all purpose, all season jacket: high collar; deep pockets; cozy fleece warmth, easy on/off lined sleeves, and contrary to some reviewers, I prefer the inside zip where it is; perfect for car keys..I've worn mine in 20 degree weather, layered, no problem...excellent water repellent shell too..it really is a go to jacket for fall, winter, early spring.

Fantastic jacket. Purchased it as a pre-winter jacket after moving to Boston, but realized it can easily handle sub freezing temps especially if you have a sweater or long sleeve underneath. Fleece lining is very comfortable and warm. Feels sturdy and well made. It also seems to handle the wind well. It is neither too loose nor too tight. It looks nice and presentable, unless you're dressing up in which case it would be too casual. Seems fairly waterproof (have worn it during a light rain and a light snow storm), but I haven't worn it in a legit downpour yet and don't know if I would since there is no hood. This has easily become my go to cold weather jacket since relocating to Boston. I have zero complaints and the price is incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality. Would recommend to anyone looking for a warm, casual jacket. LL Bean continues to impress.

This is the first one of these I've owned. It fits me well and is not overly big. I'm an L to XL and ordered a XL which fit me fine but again, not overly big.
The quality is good, the shell seems to be water repellant. Good zippered pockets that are placed well.
On note: This is a lighter weight jacket, you need sweater or some other layered clothing under it if it is extremely cold. I think I remember reading it is good down to some degrees below zero, only with appropriate laying.
Wind resistance is good and it's a VERY comfortable jacket, my new favorite.

Now this coat is almost perfect for cool windy weather in NY, NY except the banded waist is a smidge tight on me and that is my fault for having a med size paunch belly but it fits ok. I went out yesterday wearing it and the winds were pretty high with a chill factor of 34 degrees and I felt nice and warm around body and sleeves.
I highly recommend this little jacket.

I was given one of these jackets in the early nineties. I now own several all of which I use all winter long. I work as an auto mechanic. On really cold days I combine the the jacket with an LLBean vest to keep my core warm in the shop we're garage doors open and close all day long. They are both washed weekly, and really take every day abuse with ease. To me, there is no other choice.LLBean warm up jackets. The best jacket for your money, period.

It hasn't been cold enough yet down here on the southern coast of North Carolina to put it to a comfort test, but the fit and finish appear perfect. Plus, it's a darn good looking jacket.
