My son has very wide feet and doesn't fit in regular sized shoes. We got these in wides and they are perfect. Also, they must be comfortable because he loves wearing them. We got some other summer sandals from another store and he does not like to wear them nearly as much as these.

Great shoes for our boys. Easy to put on and wash up when dirty. They do run a little big. Size down by 1/2.

I have purchased these shoes multiple times, first when my son was 18 months old and now at the age of 2 years and 6 months. Both times the shoes worked out great! The shoes are wide and soft enough to accommodate my toddler's wide and delicate feet. Even though the inside of the shoe is not particularly padded, my son has never had any markings or discomfort from this shoe. He has worn these shoes both with thin summer socks and bearfoot comfortably. I also like the closure for this shoe. The design is truly thoughtful. Big thanks to a thoughtful designer of this shoe! The shoe can be opened wide to slip the toddler's foot in with ease. The shoe can than be secured as tight as needed with a wide and reliable Velcro closure extending across the front of the shoe. The design of this shoe might save your household energy, time, and unwanted toddler tantrum when it is time to leave the house. My toddler runs more than he walks, and these shoes have proven to withstand all kinds of manuvering. I also like that the front of the shoe is hard enough to protect my toddler's toes from hitting hard surfaces. I am also thrilled that these shoes are available in half sizes in addition to whole sizes. Cons: the shoes are probably not for 90 degree summer weather because a toddler's feet will get hot and sweaty. Also, when wet, the shoes will dry quite fast when left within reach of strong summer sun. Otherwise, they dry much, much slower. All in all, the shoes are wonderful. I would purchase these shoes again. I also recommend these shoes for anyone with toddler-age children.

Durable and comfortable for child! He wears in dry weather and also in the lake!

These are awesome. My 2 year old boy can put them on without any help. (Unfortunately that means off as well!) I read dozens of reviews and I'm so happy with these. Water, playground, he's good!

Love these shoes! I bought them last year and again this year for my toddler twins (3 yo). They are durable enough for every day wear (they still looked practically brand new at the end of the summer), but double as water shoes in the lake and dry so fast!

My toddler has wide feet, and these are excellent shoes for him! He wears them on hiking trails and on regular walks and seems to like them.

This is the second summer in a row we have bought these, our son is now 2 yo and he loves them. They put up will all of the abuse and have no issues. We love these shoes!

Comfy for my 2yo. I worried it might get wet after all day wearing, however his feet is dry. Easy to put on and off, light, no slippery.

We LOVE these shoes! My daughter now has two pair for daycare (2.5yo). They're TOUGH and withstand everything she can throw at them, a quick wash and they look brand new. They're easy on and off, great for the water, pool, hiking trail or rain yet also perfect for daycare. We use these as her everyday show and have bought a pair of the "barefoot" feel boots for snowy days when these may not keep the moisture out (her feet don't get immediately wet in these unless she's puddle romping after a good rain, so they're still perfect to keep feet dry on damp days).

Bought this for my 13mo old and it has been the best shoe we've gotten so far. Although it is considered a water shoe, my little wore this as a sneaker all summer. My favourite things about the shoe: 1) so easy to put on and take off, and 2) super flexible by the toes and low to the ground - great for new walkers. Bought the next size up and hoping for more options in the Bare Steps line.

These are the only shoes that feet my sons wide feet. They are east on and off. We have already purchased them in the next size up. They are the best all around everyday activity shoe.

I have 18mo old toddler boys and am very picky about the shoes I buy for my kids. These are some of the very best I have ever bought (and I have 5 kids total). They can withstand the torture my boys put them through and the thick velcro strap is the BEST! Its just as good now as it was when I bought these 3 months ago. Also, the have a wider toe box for chubby toddler feet and are really flexible, yet grippy. You won't have any face plants on wet days outside!

Perfect water and splash pad shoe. Runs bigger than the other merrell kids shoes imho. We love the way it goes on and has a wide opening when you pull back the velcro so my son can do it himself. I buy this shoe in new size every summer for him. Wish it came in even more colors!

Bought these for my 1 year old son. I was having a hard time finding something to fit his chubby little feet. Even XW in other brands were pushing it. I found these and I'm so happy I did! He wears them everyday! I hope they continue making them! I'll be purchasing the next size up as he needs them.

These sneakers are perfect for established walkers. They are flexible but still have a great sole to protect kids feet from the hot pavement.
