These shoes were super cute and looked like they would be perfect. Then I tried them on. The arch on the insert hit my foot in totally the wrong place. I couldn't even stand to walk around in the house with them on. I took my inserts out of my North Face hiking shoes and took the Merrell ones out, and traded. The left one felt okay, but the right shoe still felt awful. I ended up sending them back. Merrell was great about refunding my money. I was really sad these didn't work out.

These are my favorite hiking shoes. They are very comfortable, waterproof and protect my old lady feet.

The moab3 is fantastic! I bought these for a week-long hiking trip and only wore them for about 20 minutes around the yard before taking them out on some pretty rugged trails. They were absolutely comfortable! No stiffness, no blisters. They did great on easy trails and on rugged, rocky, steep trails. I ordered a size 6M which is my normal size for most boots and tennis shoes, and they fit well for summer. If anything, I could have gone to a 6.5 to account for when I may wear thicker socks in colder weather. However, I wore an ankle brace with the left shoe and it was fine. Love these shoes way more than I expected to!

I purchased my first pair of Merrells, the Moab 3 Waterproof, and took them to Ireland. I felt secure as we climbed hillsides like goats or in this case, like sheep. I did not have a lot of time between purchasing and the trip so I was a little hesitant to wear the shoes for a full day's sightseeing, but the first day out put that question to rest. They were comfortable and I felt secure (76 years old) whether I was on a cobblestone street or climbing over rocks on a hillside. I was also concerned about the weight of the shoes since they felt heavy when I would hold them up for inspection, but I never thought about the weight after I got started on my day. They were quite comfortable all day long. I can't testify to the waterproof quality of the shoes; that will have to wait. It was unusual but it did not rain a single day while in Ireland.

So glad I bought these for my trip! Did a 9 day trip to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and a Grand Teton. We averaged about 6 1/2 miles of hiking per day, some areas were pretty muddy/wet/rocky/uphill and these shoes were super comfortable and kept my feet dry. No blisters. I bought 1/2 a size bigger than my normal shoe size and they were perfect to wear thicker socks with. I didn't spend much time breaking them in before the trip - maybe 30 minutes the week before.

This is the 4th pair of shoes I purchased because my feet stay dry in the rain.

I loved these shoes so much! I took them on a 10 day trip throughout Scotland, and they made the hiking and walking so much easier. And I stepped in a boggy area where one shoe was significantly covered with mud. Never felt anything come through the shoe! My feet stayed completely dry throughout the trip.

My third pair of this style. The Best. Sturdy, comfortable and great fit.

Excellent hiker sneakers that go the extra mile. Love the blue color. Waterproof is great. Supportive instep and superb gripping of the soles.

I bought them for hiking in rainy Ireland and they are Not waterproof at all. Very disappointed.

I purchased the Moab 2 waterproof version in March 2022 from Merrill specifically for hiking the Cotswolds Way in southwest England in April 2023. While it is a very comfortable, well fitting rugged hiking shoe it is NOT, I repeat, NOT waterproof. The shoes, my feet and my socks were soaked through and through each time while hiking in rain or even through wet grass. Very miserable experience. I am very disappointed with this shoe as it is advertised to be waterproof! Buyer beware!

Great shoe comfortable fit right out of the box. I have had these 3 weeks now and use them everyday for work related back woods hiking and mapping. Love the strong side support the Moab delivers on the uneven terrain and on rock outcrops.

Bought these for our hiking trip to Arizona. I have many issues with my feet but these were so comfortable. I wore then 9 miles out of the box with no issues at all.

Love them. Also I have foot pain and the stiff support helps me alot.

Great shoe! Great fit! I need a wide width and ayurdy support and I get it with yhe Moab 3.
