I bought these 6 months ago and they are no longer waterproof. I work on a golf course and my feet get soaked when walking through dew in the mornings. It's not like I'm wading through puddles or anything. I had a pair a few years ago that were truly waterproof. I dont know what happened or changed?

These boots could have been perfect - but what is intended to be the arch support was an inch or so too far back in the shoe, creating a hard lump which sits between the arch and the heel. They were very uncomfortable after having them on for only a few minutes, so I can't imagine them after a hike. Otherwise they were stylish, and comfortably wide enough for the toes - and a half size up from my normal size was perfect. So disappointed.

I bought these a year ago, but due to circumstances not related, couldn't use them until this spring. I have worn an 8 for forever, but these shoes were so tight(maybe short) in the toe box that after 4 miles, my toes started feeling really cramped, by mile 8 (I turned around), my toes hurt so bad that I could hardly walk. Both big toes are bruised from the end, under the nails and around the bottom. I have no recourse, because it has been a year. But I would recommend trying them on in the store or on carpet to verify sizing. I will be saving again for another pair, but I think I might buy an 8W or an 8 1/2.

I expected them to be as wide as a Moab 2 and they were not.

It's appears a good shoes. The arch is high and helps my knees, less painful to walk.
I only used the shoes for 20 minutes and the loop for the lace broke.
Merrell responses in good way. At this point I can't find any shoes with wide width for my size in or same size I ordered to replace it that also with same price.
This will be my very first return order on line, my first Merrell.

I really wanted to like this shoe but it ran at least a full size smaller than marked. I wear a 7W in this type of shoe but heeding others I ordered a half size up. No way this was going on my foot with thin socks. It is more like an average and not wide width and way short. I advise you to think about ordering a full size up. I will be returning these. Thus is the third oair of Merrills I have tried in three months and all if them seem to run small. Maybe they are downsizing like the ice cream folks who took a couple of ounces out of the half gallon.

I bought these about 6 months ago to break in before a 3 week hiking trip to rainy Scotland. They were initially waterproof on hikes last fall. Today walking in the calf length dewy grass around my property my sock on the left foot is soaked through. My sock on the right is wet too but not as much. They are well made and holding up structurally otherwise but I bought these specifically to be waterproof for my trip. I have had Merrels before and loved them. These are my first pair that were said to be waterproof.
Very upset

Only semi-wide, the shoe becomes narrower on the bottom (compare how wide my previous pair are). Also tighter overall than my previous pair. I ordered a size bigger but the 10W is shorter than my previous 9.5W. Manufacturers need to differentiate between the wides (C/D/E) and make actually wide widths.

I have tried repeatedly to wear these, and they hurt my feet. I do not have wide feet. But there is something wrong with the design because it is caused my toes to hurt. I miss the Merrill Glacier. These cannot even begin to compare.

I wanted to love these but even the "wide" one size up is too narrow! My feet are not extremely wide, I am just accustomed to shoes with room for toes to splay.

My favorite hiking boots ripped had seen better days and I needed a new pair before a trip. I had the Moab low hiking shoe (not waterproof) that I wore on damp days. I decided to upgrade to a "waterproof" boot In April to be worn when walking the dog and hiking in inclement weather. Unfortunately the Moab 3 Mid waterproof did not fit the bill. While the boots are ok for dry days, two events involving rain have changed my mind.
-- walking through a field a short distance, left my socks and boots soaking wet.
-- after a rain, walking a soggy hiking trail left my socks wet.
Definitely can't wear for walking the dog in sloppy snow weather. Disappointed I opted for this boot. Back to carrying extra shoes and socks when hiking and rainbows for walking the dog.

Even though I ordered the wide, the boot was not wide enough and the arch didn't meet my arch.

I've worn Merrell boots for the past 10 years without any issues. However, I'm incredibly disappointed in how uncomfortable these boots are and the total lack of performance and support on challenging rugged trails. I've worn them day hiking on several rocky mountain trails in the PNW, and consistently my feet are left covered in blisters, sore and aching for days after (not exaggerating). Super unsupportive, lack any cushion, seams in uncomfortable places, and no arch support. (Oddly the foot bed is raised in the heel and ball areas of the foot.) I ordered another pair thinking I had received a defective product, but that's just how the boots fit. I've also worn the boots hiking 5 times now thinking they just needed to be broken in, but the only difference is that I now understand the definition of insanity. Really disappointed because of my past positive experience with merrell products. Can't return the boots either now that they're worn. Super unfortunate that these just don't work for me, as a serious hiker who prefers challenging trails. On a positive note, the boots are waterproof, the sole is very grippy, and the color/style are attractive. Fit is tts.

This hiking boot is said to be waterproof. It’s completely untrue. The top of it is all mesh. Please correct this mistake on your website.
