This pair hurt my foot a bit. Not sure if it was the ankle or tied too tight, very nice shoe. If I could afford it I’d have kept them too maybe.

These were nice looking but the right boot wasn't long enough for my longest foot. The left shoe was fine, even tho it has a very firm noticeable arch support. Didn't notice the arch support with my right foot. I have high arches. They don't come in half sizes after 11 and 12's would cause me to trip a lot so I'm disappointed. Had a good price.

Everything fit well, but I have to have a lift put on my left shoe and I finally went to the shoe repair today, and he can't put the lift on in a way that saves the the rugged sole. The lift would have to go on top of the sole, so I need a different style

Sending them back. :( I wear size 11 and rarely have a problem- but occasionally 11 is slightly too big. These size 11s rubbed my toes pretty hard. There was zero room in them for real hiking socks- I tried them on with my thin tennis shoe liners. I liked the higher ankle on them, but couldn't lace them tight enough to get rid of the inch of loose/air space all around my ankles.

These boots are very comfortable, I have had no blisters, they have a nice look and I grab them often for almost daily use. Unfortunately I have had 3 terrible falls in these boots because the loops of the laces catch on the top hook of the opposite boot. Wham, down I go! The top hook sticks out much wider than other boots I have worn. Now I tuck the loop of the laces into my boot to prevent them from catching. I have been hiking and backpacking for 54 years and I have never had this problem with any other boots. I'm lucky I have not broken any bones. Have other people had this problem?

The old pair of moab boots have served me well for many years. The updates have made these boots unwearable for me. The arch support feels like a stone under my foot. The placement feels a bit toward the heel. I had to return them, thank you Zappos.

These fit fine in my normal size. I ordered Wide in order to have room for hiking socks. I ended up returning them. The pair that was delivered had a weird smell--almost like gasoline. I wasn't impressed with the cushioning--kind of felt like a bump was under the forefoot. Packed them up and returned them. Maybe I just received a bad pair because so many other reviews seem to love them.

I have an old pair of Merrell Moabs and was hoping to replace them. These were great except for the arch placement. The arch built into the shoe is placed a little towards the heel of the foot making it uncomfortable just trying it in the house. I would hate to wear them on a hike. Returned, thank you Zappos.

Love my Moab's 3 Mid but wish they would come in 12 N (women's).

Good grip but not very waterproof. After just a couple hours of hiking, avoiding water as I could, the boots were still soaked by the end of the hike. The grip on the bottom was great. I would recommend these to anyone in a dry hiking area.

These did not work for me, the arch felt wrong and they are also heavier than the MQM 3 Mid GORE-TEX which are much better for me. Working with Merrell to do the exchange was simple and fast

I like these boots, and I'll probably even buy another pair---but my most recent pair had an irreparable issue with the tongue on one foot. It was WAY too thick, and it folded in the same place and created a hard spot that was quite painful. I'll be mindful of this issue when I order new ones.

The boots themselves are GREAT. However I don't feel any boot should be sold with the upper boot hooks. I have had this incident happen on a couple of occasions and another occasion on Mother's Day I took the hardest fall. I was going on a casual hike with my family. I did not take my trekking poles. As I was walking the lace of one of my boots got caught in the hook of the other boot and down I went, very hard and very fast. This needs to be designed differently. Not everyone likes to wear gators. A hiking boot should be designed with comfort and safety in mind. I am fortunate I did not break anything but, I sure am sore. On a good note, the boots are comfortable, I've worn them on several long hikes, I never have hot spots or blisters. They are waterproof and seem to protect the feet well from excessive moisture. I would like the boot to be a little less thick but not at the expense of sacrificing comfort. Please take away the boot hook.

I always wear Wm 8.5M in the moab. NOT anymore! SMALLER now, and not the same comfy Merrell fit I relied on. Did u change your Shoe-makin slaves? Cutting corners now? Sad. I guess it was inevitable. Trust in Merrell quality and consistent SIZING is gone.

My only complaint is that for a shoe, considered to be a wide width, they were quite narrow fitting. I have shoe extenders at home so I did use them to stretch them so they are a bit better. I love the rest of the make of the shoe.

The wide width of the Moab 3 is NOT as wide as the Moab 2. There is a little squeeze on my toes but not unbearable. What I do like is that the rest of the shoe towards the heel is narrower (my foot is shaped like a pizza slice). These also seem a bit grippier. I've never gotten more than 3 months of waterproof out of Merrell, so I'm about 2 months until wet toes.

The shoes look nice and sturdy, but they are about 1.5 sizes too small. I'm normally an 8.5 but I ordered a size 9 to make room for thick socks. Unfortunately even with thin socks on the shoes do not go on, they are too small. Im returning it and going to a size 10, because the shoe does look good.

I love these boots! They just are too small. I wish Merrell's came in a 11-1/2 or a 12!

I usually wear 10.5, but had to size up to 11. This shoe was fairly comfortable, but the uppers design looked too much like a patchwork of pieces. The colors for this style are mostly light, so will show the dirt. I found the shoe made my already large feet look much wider and bigger, although I have narrow feet. If the surface was smooth leather that would have been better for upkeep. The laces are not as long as most shoes that are mid high. Not a lot of arch support and could have had more overall cushioning. It's a pass for me.

Sadly with very little use after just a year, these are not at all waterproof and already the cushion in the heel is gone and the plastic is cutting into my heel. Merrell's used to be good quality but clearly that is not the case anymore. I won't be buying again.

The heal is uncomfortable - as if there is a rod under the middle of my heal. Otherwise, love the shoe. Going back, though, unfortunately.

These are the most unwaterproof boots I have ever gotten. I hike for a living and it's been wet, but even damp morning grass on a sunny day has been soaking my feet within minutes.
