Not waterproof. I've been wearing them all (dry) summer. Very comfortable. Purchased to replace an earlier version Merrell that wasn't spec'd as waterproof. Today, just through wet morning dew grass, that's all, I came back with damp socks & the boot liners are wet throughout the toe box. Very disappointed & hoping Merrell steps up. I would try the GORE Tex version if you need waterproof.

I walked yesterday and didn't enter the stream, but got close enough that water got into the right shoe to make my sock wet. At best, these maybe water resistant.

Wear them mostly on rainy days and in snowy weather. Tad stiffer than my usual Moabs, but just as comfortable. Highly recommend them. Merrell's Moabs are what everyone in my family wears now and no complaints.

Took these on a 6 mile hike through Hocking Hills. Really comfortable. The waterproofing was great for the shallow water. I may have opted for hikers with ankle support though. My foot slipped out of one shoe while I was heading down a steeper trail.

Purchased for a Kenyan safari. I thought they would be too heavy but they were perfect for all the terrain-fields, marshes, river banks, rock climbing, and hiking.

Ordered these shoes on 7/4/24. I walk about 4 miles a day. After 3 days, upper leg was hurting and very sore. I went back to wearing my worn out tennis shoes. Pain went away. I decided to try these Moab 3 shoes again thinking maybe sdomething else was making my leg hurt. After 2 miles, my leg was hurting again. These shoes are not for me. Fortunately, these were on sale so I'm only out $107.00 plus tax. It's hard to believe these shoes aren't good since every pair of Moab waterproof mid boots I've owned have been great.

Camping at Mammoth. It was a good shoe for the summer fall elements. Comfortable and fits true to size. Do not go one size up if you order the wide width.

Whatever you guys do to build your shoe... it 'really works' to give me more stability when I walk. As a Purple Heart Vet who couldn't outrun an RPG in 'Nam... my stability has declined being over 70. I am Much Safer on my feet with your Moab shoes. Thank you!

These shoes always fit and are comfortable right out of the box. Doesn't seem to matter which style I'm buying, the fit is consistent across all shoe/boot platforms

My 3rd pair. They are a quality-built shoe. However, the new pair is much tighter than the previous ones, uncomfortable to wear, and they are a wide size. I wore them a few days with the shoe strings very loose, they are still tight, and because I wore them, I cant return them. I may donate them and try a different brand. Very disappointed although I loved my previous 2 pair.

It nailed the muddy mountain, and it is perfectly waterproof. It can get a bit warm and moist inside though.

I was measured at an REI store and was told I needed 10 M. I have worn 9.5 and 10 2E in New Balance walking and hiking shoes for 10+ years. But, I ordered the Moab 3 waterproof shoes in 10 M and they are too narrow. At 68 years old, I need a bit extra padding and arch and heel support so I found the factory inserts wanting but I can remedy that.

Needed hiking shoes for a trip to Portugal- Did not look like hiking boots, I have foot problems and normally wear an insert. Hiked across hilly cities through old castles, and Medieval footpaths- 15000 + steps a day for 2 weeks. My feet never got sore, did not need inserts. This shoe is a miracle. Much better than I expected. Highly recommend

These shoes hurt my feet. The soles have an arch that is too steep for my feet and caused a lot of foot and back pain.

I purchased a pair of merrell Moab low cut hiking boots/shoes because they seemed like good quality but I was MISTAKEN. With only wearing them a few times mainly indoors the soles came unglued on the back and bottom of both shoes almost coming completely apart. I contacted Merrell and without my receipt showing when and where I purchased them I was refused a warranty. Anyone could see from the pictures I sent Merrell the shoes were brand new with no wear and not even any dirt. I guess they use Elmers school glue to save money. Merrells response was I could purchase a new pair while they are having a 30% off sale.

everyone needs a pair of Moabs! This is my first pair and they were as good as everyone said they would be. I went for a summer session in Italy to do a dig and these Merrills were just what I needed. sturdy, comfortable, water resistant and pretty sharp looking. went up 1/2 size for a perfect fit.
