What used to fit like a glove for many many renditions of the shoe, it has been redesigned and now after all these years of happy feet I no longer wear what were my go to shoe.

The sizing changed - I ordered replacements, these were a half size two small and they hurt my feet (wherein my previous Moab 3s were perfect up and down for hundreds of miles).

They are stiff and unflexible. I've had 3 pairs of Merrells and these were the most expensive. I think I will refrain from purchasing shoes online when I can't try them on before buying.

This is the third pair of Moab I have purchased. The other two pairs I wore out. This fit fine out of the box, I like that they are waterproof, with a vibram sole. And I like the look of them. This pair, though, seem to have much less cushion and much stiffer than my previous pairs. Wearing these actually hurt - exacerbated my plantar fasciitis. Walking just barely a mile, I end up in pain. My old pairs never did that.

The Left and Right are different sizes, not made to the same specs - pattern slightly different but not a "matched pair"

I'm extremely disappointed in these shoes. They are not waterproof, perhaps water resistant. I have had many previous pairs of Moab hikers, the quality has gone downhill. After wearing these shoes the day after overnight rain, walking around my lawn for three or four hours, the grass around 5 inches high, my feet are wet. No previous pairs of Moab hikers had this problem. I have only had the shoes for 6 weeks.

This is the third pair of Merrell Moab 3 Waterproof I've tried that are defective. Material on the inside of one of each pair of shoes was put in improperly. First pair had problem with the heel. Second pair problem where foot hits the the toe, third pair problem above the right top of toe. Happy to report i just kept trying and FINALLY got a pair that was not defective. Been buying these shoes for years so very disappointed they no longer seem to be checking the quality.

Disappointing. This shoe was used—soiled. Expected new. Didn’t bother to even try on.

Colors suck. What happened with Nova Sky? Great shoe.

I bought this pair of shoes less than two weeks ago. I had the Goretex version of these previously and wore them for years without issue. In fact I really loved those shoes and they were extremely versatile. Sadly these shoes do not live up to my previous pair. Within two days the shoes smelled horribly due to having poor ventilation. I have tried airing out the insole every evening but they continue to smell. I would not recommend these shoes.

I have worn Merrell shoes for over 15 years now and specifically the Moab low cut hiking shoe as my everyday out in the elements since they have been available. Unfortunately this will be my last pair as the quality is terrible. The last three pairs of Moab 3 waterproof have had nothing but issues on the front of the shoe and inside the heal. Within a few months of wear the rubber sole will peel back from the tip of the shoe or the front surround will become detached. My latest pair bought in November of 2023 have the stitching at the front surround already fraying and I expect the surround will soon start to come detached. My last two pairs have had the same issue where the heal of the interior liner gets loose creating an irritating feel when worn. Such a shame this once quality shoe has become an over priced third rate product.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOAB STYLE IF YOU WANT TO GET REPLACEMENT LACES This is my third pair of Moabs after buying the brown style twice previously. It is a great shoe but I need to replace the laces and have not been able to find a match to the grey style laces. This also included the supplier recommended by Merrell. As it is, I have had to buy a lace that really does not look good.

You just can't find a better go-to pair of shoes than these Moab 3 waterproof Hikers!! Perfect fit and finish, and will protect your feet from anything you can throw at them. On the beach and on the trails I absolutely love the quality & function. Stay with the Vibram Soles on any of the Merrell's and you will be rewarded with excellent grip, cushioning, and insulation.

I bought my first pair of Merrell Moab 3 Waterproof Hiking Shoes on June 19, 2023 and found that within 2 months they had stretched so much that my heel was getting blisters because they had become too large for me. At the same time the inside of the heel on each shoe was starting to come apart and the laces on one of the shoes started to fray and then broke on me. I stopped wearing these and went to find a Hiking Boot or Shoe that would stand up to the short walks I was taking around my neighbourhood as well as some of the trails I liked to walk. I would never buy a pair of Merrell Hiking Boots or Shoes again, as the don't offer quality support at the heel or along the font/sides.

I bought the Moab 3 nine months ago for a camping trip. They only have about 12 miles on them and the toe caps on both shoes are coming off. The quality definitely does not live up to the expectation from Merrell or Vibram.

Got a pair for Christmas; now, less than four months of light use later, light rain and very shallow puddles absolutely drench the insides of both shoes. This "waterproof membrane" barely slows down water entering the vents.

These shoes have almost no arch support or cushioning. In just two times wearing them, my feet hurt and caused plantar fasciitis. This is the third set of Moab water proof I have purchased. First to hurt my feet.

I've had this shoe for awhile and was pleased until the soles fell off. You would think they'd use a better binding agent for the price you pay.

I have bought 2 pair over the last few years. THEY SQUEAK! Most annoying. When you spend a decent amount of money and even think it was a "1 of" but it's not you don't want to buy any more of them. I shouldn't have to do weird things to make them stop squeaking. If I wanted squeaks I would buy a dog chew or a baby toy. Too bad, they are comfortable.
