Great fit and very comfortable. Fourth pair and just as good as the others.

Good solid shoe. Great that they come in wide width. Just a little to firm for me.

I have a wide foot. I took earlier advice about buying a half-size up to heart, and ordered the 9.5 in medium width because that's what was in stock. Poor choice; the width was still too narrow for my foot. My fault, not the shoe's. The shoe looks wonderful, great color, stout construction, beautiful design.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell, in the right width. I have great prior experience with the Moab model in the right width.

Purchased these Moab hikers in 2022. I wear them for casual in town wear and light trail use. In less than two years the soles wore through and the rubber trim separated from the shoe. Disappointing quality. I will replace with another manufacturer.

Not as comfy as version 2 . The heal area is tighter and the stitching that runs across the center of the heal rubs for weeks until broken in and is very uncomfortable. Maybe better construction and design would help.

Shoe seems to be fine, but don't buy if you have any ice. The sole of this shoe is super slick on ice. Went for a walk after a day where snow was melting, but started to freeze in the evening. Fell twice. It was like wearing Teflon. Nearly had to crawl back home.

Too small. Which was odd because I've worn this size merrell before.

I bought a pair of the Moab 3 Waterproof boots this week. The grass was wet and after about 20 minutes of walking my dog, my feet were wet as well. Anything but waterproof. Perhaps labeling them as water resistant would be more accurate. Calling them waterproof is false advertising.

I love the fit of the wide width version of this shoe but the sole has separated from the shoe on the last pair I purchased. Trying to decide whether to replace them.

Shoes fall apart in 3 months the soles rip apart under normal conditions . Shoes are not waterproof unless you put shoe in plastic zip lock bag. Sadly I keep buying these style of shoes as they work very well on new construction roofing with the vibracam soles

Toes are right up against the front of shoe in 12.5 size vs other shoes; hiking downhill becomes painful.

Another pair of Merrell shoes that are too shallow. Shoes fit loose even though I ordered a half size smaller than normal. Foot easily slides around and design of rear heal area rubs Achilles tendon and is very uncomfortable.

I have been buying these for years. They have always been had very thick cushions on the bottom. For some reason these are not as cushioned. They are still a nice shoe, but have changed.

I like the fit and footbed of the Moab 3 but very disappointed in how quickly the inside heel liner has worn out, right through to the external material. The shoe itself still as a lot of useful life, but the shoe repair shop says no way to fix the heel, which is in a condition that can cause blisters. So now looking for another brand with hopefully more durable materials.

Disappointment
Comfortable shoe, however they are the worst walking shoes I've bought if you have to walk on wet rocks, it's like walking on oil, if you use them on trails it's is correct, on the other hand impossible to walk on rocks,

Great shoes. Well made and good looking. Unfortunately a bit too tight (narrow) around my toes
As a result i can't wear them all day.

Comfortable, but the left shoe was not waterproof. With a name like Merrell you think the quality would be outstanding. Never had a pair of Timberlands that I had a problem with the waterproof membrane. Bought these in an outlet store, that might be the reason why, maybe they only get seconds, or junk to sell.

These were not comfortable at all for me. I needed a wide-toe box and these were constraining. They were very stiff and heavy on the sole (like a work boot) and oddly puffy, heavy, and stiff up top. Felt like they would also be hot with the way the fabric's top layer was constructed. There was not enough mid-sole flex for uphill hiking and rocky trails requiring a lot of mid-foot flexibility.

I usually get a full year from Merrells ... this pair had a lace support snap yesterday .. I only got 8 months. I only wear them to work (factory / office) - and only 5 days per week. I think the quality has gone down ... but the price certainly hasn't.

I’ve had Merrill’s that fit and ones that don’t. Very inconsistent size parameters between models. I don’t understand it. My partner has the same problem. But Merrill makes good shoes when you can find the one that fits just right. Not patient enough this time.

This is probably my 4th Merrell runner & the first that didn't feel like a slipper from the get-go. The stitches on the top of my foot dig into the skin like little spikes. They are not as pliable as my past shoes. I am disappointed, but hope that a breaking in period will help.
