I am a big fan of Merrell footwear. When I was recently fitted with braces, a customer service rep suggested that I might want to purchase boots in a store where I could be sure of the fit. Knowing that Merrell has a good return policy, I took the chance and ordered a larger size in extra wide of the Moab 3. I was thrilled to discover that I wouldnt have to give up Merrell quality. These boots are great.

I am intending a trip to hike in Peru in May so need a waterproof version of the Moabs I already love. He new ones retain to light yet rugged construction of previous models. The sole is sufficiently stiff to handle sharp rocks and comfortable to bough for all day wear. I recently broke them in on a hike up and around Enchanted Rock in Texas. Great!

Shoe seems to be fine, but dont buy if you have any ice. The sole of this shoe is super slick on ice. Went for a walk after a day where snow was melting, but started to freeze in the evening. Fell twice. It was like wearing Teflon. Nearly had to crawl back home.

Great shoe! I am on my 4th or 5th pair. However, I always have to get a better sole insert to support my foot better. Merrill has room to improve with and use a higher quality insert.

This is the third pair of Merrell Moab shoes I have purchased. I absolutely love them. Im on the hefty side with flat feet. I put these on and compared to Nike, these are 10/10. I wear them everywhere when Im off work.

Very comfortable with the wide toe box. Hiked about 7 miles on first day with them. Good traction. No complaints.

I have fairly wide feet and Merrell does a great job providing product for people like me. Currently on a trip to Japan which is the reason I purchased the Moab 3 waterproof series. It really hasn't been rough weather tested to this point but they're certainly comfortable and working well for me touring the multitude of shrines and temples we're visiting.

Great fit - size / width fit as expected, comfortable shoes, waterproofing has been effective, tread material does fine on wet stone while crossing streams - no slipping. Well worth the money. Only complaint, being waterproof, they don't breath so my feet do sweat and stink after a day of easy walking - need an antimicrobial lining or something :P Would recommend and will buy again.

I am a long time customer of the Moab line. Unfortunately this recent pair causes such pain on the bottom of my foot that it will likely be the last time I buy a pair.

Bought these for a Botswana Safari. Most comfortable shoes Ive ever had. I wear them daily. Love them

great shoes, but too many ads for Merrill shoes after I bought them.

I bought these to take to Belize on hiking trips and cave tubing . The guides wondered why I wasnt slipping like all the others. Worked beyond expectations. Now they will be my work shoes/ boots.

Comfortable out of the box. More durable soles than earlier versions. I have had many Moabs over the years and these are the best yet.

You just cant find a better go-to pair of shoes than these Moab 3 waterproof Hikers!! Perfect fit and finish, and will protect your feet from anything you can throw at them. On the beach and on the trails I absolutely love the quality & function. Stay with the Vibram Soles on any of the Merrells and you will be rewarded with excellent grip, cushioning, and insulation.

It's near perfect!! The only issue is with me, my feet are still a bit too wide but there's no other shoe(except Keen) that offer wide enough!

Shoe are great this is my 5th pair only complaint is shoe laces will not stay tied even with double knot

I truly enjoys my Moabs. I love the grippy bottoms that excel on trails and steep terrain. Theyre lightweight and allow me to cover a lot of ground in a start amount of time. I use mine for gardening, hiking, and chasing quail and chukar in rocky country.

I like the wide width for comfort, and do find them very waterproof. This is the 3rd pair of this exact shoe I have purchased on line. My only concern is this 3rd pair is just slightly different fit in length. Not enough to change my opinion, but it is a tiny bit shorter. I thought it would be identical.

We were hiking in the Tetons and a rain storm came up. Plenty of rain but the shoes didnt let any moisture thru to my socks. Well with it.

I have had this shoe for close to a year, comfort is excellent, durability is good, but the waterproofing has left a lot to be desired. I am hoping to try applying a spray coating of waterproofing. Let you know.

I love these shoes. So much so, that this is the first ever review of a shoe that Ive ever done (cause lets be honest, who has time to constantly review the things we buy?). Anyway, bought these shoes and brought them hiking around NY, then Scotland, and after having put hundreds of miles on them, I can honestly say you wont regret buying them. Conformable, great grip, strudy. Theyre a great buy.
