Good and comfortable waterproof hiking shoe. Bought these for mixed hiking and walking (streets leading to trails) and light hiking where ankle support isnt needed. Fit is comfortable, waterproofing has worked so far in wet fields and on wet trails. Good traction. Had one thread pulled on toe (must have snagged it on something), but I dabbed on some superglue, and it has not gone any further. Not a shoe defect, but it did happen in the third week of ownership.

The Moab 3 are very comfortable. I wear a orthotic in them so that helps. I wear them in the woods in Maryland and Florida all the time. Having them water proof is also a must.

Comfortable shoes for someone with wide feet. Not that most suitable shoes for +30 c hot places.

Ordering on line from Merrell was simple and issue free.

Shoe does not fit right and by testing to see if they would work or not they were ineligible for return or exchange. Know that this shoe has a very pronounced arch that is closer to the heel than most shoes. True fit was not very accurate with this one. Wish there were more Merrell stores so that it was not such a big risk buying $125+ shoes.

Bought these shoes as a Christmas gift for myself. Loved the shoes at first but after a few months I lost the 'feel'. I bought some Orthofeet sandals and realized the thing missing were some 'great' inserts. Bought some Orthofeet inserts and 'magic' happened! The combination made them perfect!

I've been wearing Merrell foot wear for over 25 years. Always tough durable and most importantly do not hurt my feet. The right size and width

great shoes, a little heavier than I expected but well built and performed as advertised on in my first hike with them.

Ordered a size 9, which is what I wear in every other shoe. These were too small. Free exchange for a 9-1/2. Once I got the new ones, they fit perfectly. Pretty comfortable right out of the box. Even more comfortable after a couple weeks breaking them in. Havent really been able to test how waterproof they are yet. Other than that, they are perfect for my needs.

Ive had this shoe for awhile and was pleased until the soles fell off. You would think theyd use a better binding agent for the price you pay.

Loving how new gum sole looks with this light olive top combo! Also this sole feels more rugged and absorbing compared to my 1st gen Moab Ventilators. Can be slippery on icy sidewalk though. Overall very high quality shoes. Super comfy and protective all the way around. I walked 20 kilometers right away after I pulled my pair out of the box and my feet didn't complain at all - pure pleasure. Feel warm enough for everyday usage in mild to average winter conditions, exactly as I expected. I'd say comfortable temperature would be in range from -7 to +3 C.

As you may have noticed, Merrell has been slipping for years, their design going from premium to strange and mediocre. I would now compare them to one of the cheaper Payless Shoe Store brands that used to try to imitate Merrell, like Keen. Firstly, the fit has changed - what used to be a sleek, fitted shoe is now a dumpy, boxy, shapeless clog. They all look to big - although reasonably fitting on the inside, the outside resembles Mickey Mouse's toilet plunger shaped shoes, or like you're wearing two large butternut squashes. In short, shapeless, thick, Dutch wooden clog shaped, slightly uncomfortable because of the odd proportions.

Going on the El Camino, the North Route. We will see how they do?

Current Moab's are still pretty good but not as immediately comfortable as my older pairs. The tongue folds at the sides are stiff, and press on the top of my foot. These need breaking in. Perhaps they're made for larger feet.

Love these! They are my daily winter boot. They keep great traction in the snow and ice. So far Ive been out in the snow with them, theyve kept my feet warm, and dry. I bought the wide fit and theyre perfect as I have wider feet. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable hiker for everyday use.

I purchased these waterproof hikers for my daily walks in my neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. Though my neighbor hood is not truly similar to a woodlands trail, it does have uneven road surfaces and sidewalks that require good traction and great stability, which these shoes more than adequately provide. I also sometimes walk through the grassy areas of neighborhood parks and green spaces, which too can be uneven, wet and slippery. I find the support and comfort of the Merrills excellent for these reasons in these conditions. Im not walking on a padded level track, and even if I were, Id give these shoes a try on such a surface, especially in the rain.

Great so far. Held up to what Ive put it through. Excited to test the limits and see how far they go.

Used Merrill right out of box on 4 mile walk. This is my 3rd or 4th pair. I get more miles out of them than from tennis shoes. Very sturdy and comfortable.
