My Moab 3s were perfect for four days of backpacking in the Grand Canyon with my sons. We covered nearly 40 miles in the four days, and I had the opportunity to wear them only two short hikes before the Canyon. With the wide fit, I had no issues breaking them in and I didn't get any blisters of have any foot problems even carrying 35 to 40 lbs. Thank you Merrell for helping make it a great backpacking trip!

Merrell Moab won't last 100 miles and aren't waterproof. The wides are too big for my wide foot

Bought these for BSA summer camp. Hiked over 20 miles of trails near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Next, I will test them at Disney World and Universal Studios.

This is my third pair of MOABs. The last two were my favorite shoes Ive ever worn due to their out-of-the box comfort and long lasting construction. I wore both pairs nearly every day and each one lasted me about 3-4 years. And they were as comfy as slippers from day one. I got my third pair, same shoe, same size, and the shape of the footbed has changed to the point where I cant wear them. I have worn them for about a month hoping that they just needed to break in or mold to my feet but the arches are way higher and contoured differently causing severe pain in my arches. I've worn them so I cant return them but I am back to wearing my worn out 4 year old pair and the new ones are going in the trash.

Narrower toe box than other shoes from Merrell that I've owned, which after 5 days straight out of a 6.5 day trip of 7-10 mile hikes left me with blisters on my toes. They've also got a lot shorter heel support area than other Merrell shoes that I've owned, not a deal breaker but more personal preference. They're otherwise good for daily use; great arch support and good heel cushioning. But for 6.5 days of hiking in hilly forest terrain they left me feeling underwhelmed.

Poor fit. I own 2 pairs and didn't figure out that the 'wide' sizing made the second shoe too big for me. My fault, but be careful.

It would be easier to tell where I have not taken my Moab low and high tops. They've been everywhere out west you can imagine, twice. Always comfortable and reliable footing.

Good quality shoes are the reason that I buy Merrell. This Moab 3 version has the solid shoe upper that I have come to expect and the great Vibram sole, however there seems to be something missing in the foot bed that keeps your foot comfortable. After my hikes, my feet ache and I think Merrell has reduced the insole cushion. I have other 3 and 5 year old versions that seem to provide more foot stabilization support.

-bought less then 6 months ago and the sole is already worn to the gray undersole on toe and heel. -Inter sides on heels worn to the padding
-like the Moab 2 limited arch support and have purchased after market arch support to prevent planters faucitis.

I have a chunky foot and the regualr fit Moabs fit perfectly. They dry super quick and, unlike prevoius hikers, the laces stay tied. The rock grip on these shoes will give you confidence.
Feet down the best hikers ive ever owned.

I wear these shoes on the disc golf course where they take quite a beating. They hold up great and always give me great traction on the course.

Not quite totally water proof as my last pair which were Moab 2 Gortex I prefer the sole tread pattern on these and they are comfortable. I could have gone with a half size smaller. Also there is a slight size difference between the two types of hikers.

They're kind of a hot shoe. I wear merino wool midweight hiking socks. Have for many years now with various shoes. It's not even summer yet and my feet are warm in these just running daily errands. Not something I expected or could have discovered before wearing them outside. Surprising as I rarely have problems with shoes.
