The best hiking boots ever. This is my fourth pair of Merrell hiking boots. The new Moab 3 replaced my Moab Ventilator that served me for years. I wear them on every vacation, for hikes in forests, for walking on sandy trails in Florida, and for walking my push mower 2 hours on the weekends. This style has the best rounded and wide toe box for my square feet. The men's size 8 wide suits my foot better than the women's size 10 wide. The ventilation in the mesh keeps my feet from sweating. I like the rugged, gripping soles too. As for arch support, I did not even need to switch out the insoles for a higher arch. I vote A+.

I have only worn these a few times, but they have pretty good traction. They seem to be hot, but we will see once the weather cools down. They are comfortable.

Highly recommended. Went hiking around Yunnan Province China recently. Comfortable, failsafe grip, kept my feet dry in pouring rain (in conjunction with rain pants).

The insole is much improved. More cushion under the heal for the jarring sustained when descending steep canyon trails. Better arch support for general walking.

Sturdy, comfortable shoe. It seems the toe box is bigger than the original Moab, and the laces don't come undone constantly (a problem w/the original Moab) wearing. Recommended.

Moab 3 size was the same as Salomon shoes for me. Moab 3 has a more rigid sole and the interior padding could be a little thicker as I can feel the sole when I wear one pair of socks. Two pair socks and no more feeling the sole. Overall, love the appearance, fit and grip. Will buy again.

I had Moab 3 in 11.5 regular for the last couple of years and did lots of hiking across the PNW and Colorado/Montana.
They were my first pair of hiking shoes and they did me good.
Just went to wide footbed size 12 and my foot is so happy now! I didn't realize how much my toes were being squished and I feel like I could walk for twice as long!

Had these for over a year , great shoe but put them on today and the rubber sole dislodged from the toe to the insole . Is this a common problem before I buy another pair?

Me and the family all bought Moab hiking shoes for our trip to Utah. They were great. The water from hiking the virgin river got through but they dried very quickly. Good product none the less. Not too heavy. Even my 4 year old got a pair.

Bought a pair of these 3 years ago at the suggestion of a home improvement magazine as a perfect work shoe in the shop and the yard. They were exactly that and with them well worn, I came back for another pair!

I was really having a problem with my feet. My wife purchased me a pair of shoes based on looks, not that they look any better than my Merrells and my feet really started to having problems. I switched to Merrells and now my feet are fine. I can't explain it and my Podiatrist doesn't believe it but I don't have to see him anymore. I also love the way they look with jeans. I now have three different pairs and all of them are great. As far as athletic/trail shoes I bet I never buy anything else.

I have purchased Moab J06011W for over 15 years. They are now discontinued and the last 2 pairs I have purchased and paid a lot of money for are not wearable. I'm not happy with either of them as they are so uncomfortable and hurt my feet. I have paid hundreds of dollars over past years and am disappointed with the replacements I have purchased and would hope the other model would come back to purchase.

Great firm backs also you to slip in and out of tied shoes.
My third pair.
Dirty work 5 yr. Old stained pair still going strong.
3 year old pair I'm still wearing around the house and newest pair for going out.

I ordered a men’s size because my ladies size was not available. Unfortunately, it was much too narrow.

Exceptionally comfortable shoes that offer great traction on southern Utah's slick rock surfaces while also providing reliable grip on mountain trails in the northern part of the state.
