This is a great robe, no question. The flannel exterior layer is the thin layer while the interior fleece liner is the thicker layer. That's not a criticism just an observation as it's not what I expected. Fits well with the sizing as described. It's soft, comfortable, quite warm, and seems well made. I'm sure I'll use it for years to come!

The tall robe is a good length and is warm. The belt is next to useless. Too thin and won't stay looped or tied. Had to use the belt from previous terry robe. Overall, a nice robe.

The collar doesn't always lay flat when my husband puts it in, but otherwise he loves the warmth and mid length.

Got this to replace a poorly made terrycloth robe that had too many loose threads. This is quite warm and stands up well to the claws of may cat perching on my shoulder. My only wish is that the interior fleece would be of a darker color to better match the exterior. Belt could be a little more substantial, it's just a double layer of thin flannel fabric.

My husband wanted a warm robe and this one more than fits the bill.

So glad I bought this and it keeps me nice and warm. Previous review that suggested the men's version since the fleece is in the sleeves was spot on. I bought a Med and it fits great and hits below the knee (I am a womens 8-10/5'6',150lb). Only reason for 4 vs 5 star is slight dark fuzz shedding that I hope will fade after a few washes.

Great robe. Washes well. The belt needs ironing because it curls up.

My husband's comment: "It's like wearing a blanket!"
We have tried for awhile to find a mens robe that is long enough to cover the leg below the knee - but mens robes just don't seem to do that.
So I ordered a "large tall" so that it would actually be long enough to cover the lower leg! (My husband is 5'11" 175lbs,)
The only thing that's missing and would have made it even better would be to have a hood.

Fit was perfect, a little disappointed in the lining, supposed to be "sherpa" but doesn't even resemble it in my opinion, but IS warm and my husband was VERY pleased (and matches his pajamas)

This is a substantial robe and overall very nice. I'm about 6' 2" and 178 pounds, and the tall was nice, although a large might have worked better than the XL I ordered. Still, the extra room is nice. The fleece does make the robe quite warm. My only wish is that the fleece covered the part around the neck. Your body stays toasty, but around the neck you have only flannel so it doesn't keep you very warm up there, and it's difficult to wrap and secure around the throat. That is the only fault I could find with the robe. Otherwise very nice.

I purchased as an Xmas gift so it hasn't been used yet. But I bought it as I liked the plaid and it appears that it will serve the purpose and be nice and warm.

Loose fitting, warm plaid robe with a thin, yet substantial beige sherpa lining.
My husband is 6' 1 and thin and finds this full-fledged robe a warm go-to and bed cover for his feet. The belt is skimpy, though, more cheaply made than one would think LL Bean could have manufactured. Details matter, LL Bean!

Bathrobe is soft and warm. We haven't washed it yet, so can't report on whether there's a mismatch between the flannel and the lining. The biggest drawback is the belt/tie which is not as long as it should be for a large-sized garment for a larger sized person.

As a taller than average woman I end up buying men's clothes to get something long enough that will fit. This was a GREAT option - the reviews others wrote were very helpful in determining which size i would need. It's as described, very warm, long enough for my arms and legs. Only downside is that almost immediately after I got it the pocket ripped on the seam. I was simply putting my hands inside as I was sitting down to warm up and one side ripped with such sad, ease. I was frustrated that the construction was not as durable as I have come to expect with LL Bean products, but it should be an easy fix for me to make. Everything else about it is phenomenal!

As a seamstress I was not pleased that the bottom folds up.. maybe the lining is too long, or heavy but hem doesn't lay flat like it should. so bottom hem flips up. Also got matching pajamas...plaids don't match. Unusual for a high priced item.
Robe is nice and warm tho.

It was a beautiful robe. It was made very well and the color was more beautiful in person than in the magazine. It was one of the best buys I made this holiday season.

I received this XL-Tall robe as a Christmas gift. It fit well and is very warm in the cold weather. It has a fair amount of heft to it, but once on, that's not noticeable. Enjoy.

I bought this robe for my husband now that the temperature is dropping and he really loves it! The sherpa inside is soft and very warm. My only complaints are that I bought what appeared to be the orange color because orange is his favorite color, but it is not at all orange, definitely a brick red/clay color. Also, after the first wash I noticed that the outside of the robe looks very worn and has pilled a lot. I didn't put the robe in the dryer for fear of damaging it and I washed on a delicate cycle, but still the outside is very rugged after only one wash, so I suspect it won't hold up as long as I would like. The sherpa lining washed well and remained soft. Overall it's good and my husband wears it daily, but the quality isn't quite there for the cost.

This is a very soft, comfortable robe. Unfortunately, the XL was W-A-A-A-Y too big, so I will be returning it for a size L.

My husband has worn the fleece-lined flannel shirts for years. When I saw this fleece-lined robe, I figured it would be perfect for him. He loves it and says it feels like he is wearing a blanket! I would definitely recommend it for those who need some extra warmth.

This robe is a little large, but otherwise well made and warm. Note that because there is a lining, the sleeves tend to pull up whatever sleeved garment you're wearing underneath. If you're looking for a warm robe, this one does the trick. But if you don't mind sacrificing a bit of warmth, the unlined version may serve you just as well.
