Let me start off by saying that the product itself looks nice, is warm, and seems well-made although it should be for the price. I like the snap buttons too and it's overall not too bulky. If this is all you care about then the product is probably perfect for you.
No one ever gives their dimensions but I am 5' 10" and 160lbs and a medium for me is extremely large in the waist, especially for a "semi-slim" fit. If you are used to relaxed fits then it may work out well. The length is perhaps a bit long, more coat than shirt length, and the chest is a bit better fit with my ~40" chest but still on the wide side. It does look better unbuttoned but when buttoned it has little shape, even less so than my outdoor coats.
So my rating splits the middle if you consider both function and looks.

This is a decent shacket but remember - the lining is not "Sherpa," it's polyester, and it sure feels like it. The shirt is cute tho, just feels a little cheap and runs large

The sleeves are not long enough so I have to buy a XL that fits like a tent. Love the shirt/jacket just wished it would be a better fit.

The Sherpa material does NOT go down the sleeves. Just the body

Love the jacket but for the money I think it should have more details like and inside pocket, buttons on the cuff placket, and a locker loop on the back.

It's high quality, no doubt. Slightly fitted? Not even thinking about it. It's huge. I'm 5'11", 175lbs with a 42" chest and a 32" waist. The sleeve length is good, but that's about it. Overall, it looks like I'm an 8 year old wearing my dad's shirt. I'm returning it.

Liked the pattern but the elbow reinforcements made the arms feel weird. Thats why i returned it, otherwise i would have kept it.

The XXL was too large and the arms of the shirt are very long. Will be returning.

The large was way too big, it was huge, but if it fit seemed very nice

I got a regular XL, not even a tall, and the tails go halfway to my knee on my thigh. Returning. Cannot see a size down being all that better even though I could easily fit in a Large. The product photos must not be from the same production line as they show the shirt tails to be about the length of the sleeves. Really comfortable shirt but fits like a Snuggie.

I bought size medium for my son, who is tall and slim. The shirt was huge in body, and the sleeves went past his hands. I was afraid to order another. Bummer.

This jacket was purchased by grandparents for our teenage son who loved it. After one month of wear, the backing on the snaps on the two front pockets and the cuffs pulled away from the material and no longer function. There is now a small hole in the fabric at all these sites with the snaps. For the cost of this jacket, you would hope that the quality would be there. How disappointing. For the future, we will look for similar jackets elsewhere. Otherwise, the warmth and style of the jacket is perfect for him, thus the three stars. Too bad on the quality.

This was a Christmas gift for my 25 year old son. When he tried it on his first comment was that the sherpa lining did not travel down through the sleeves. Checked catalog description and it does not mention this fact. He wanted me to return but just left the house wearing it so guess he is keeping it. Just wanted customers to know should this might be an issue for them.

Good material but way to big! Too wide! It seems designed for men with big waistlines. Sleeves and shoulders are good but the gut area and hem are way to wide. If you are average build don't order tall - order regular.

The shirt was very well made. The Sherpa lining was not in the sleeves, only the main part of the shirt. My husband didn't care for that at all.

Impressed with the quality, as usual for LL Bean. However, the arms were simply too tight for me. I ordered a second one and the same problem. May be fine for others, but I sent both back.

I'm sorry when I have to point out a shortcoming in an otherwise great product. The shirt is warm, looks great, and fits great. However, I like to place my wallet in one of the front chest pocket, when I'm going somewhere or driving. And here, I just cannot do that -- the front chest pockets are way too small. I do manage to slide the wallet in, but I cannot close the snap-button -- it won't "reach" (there's nothing wrong with the snap-button.)
I still haven't decided whether to keep the shirt (I received it today). If I do return it, if will be because of not having a safe place in the shirt for my wallet.

While the quality and the warmth was spot on, the fit was terrible. Unfortunately the medium felt like an XXL, had to return it.

I ordered two of the same style and size but different colors. Received both about the same time. One fits just right, the other too tight (I am returning). Why such quality control issue?
The one I kept has micro fuzz balls all over the material surface after first wash (I followed laundry instruction). Not sure why. Will wash again to see what happens.
The laundry instruction said use warm water and I did. Thats was a mistake possibly. The shirt fitted well before wash but now is very snug after one wash!!!
Overall, I love the feel and comfort of the shirt and keeps me very warm. I love the deep side pockets too.

I really like the fit and comfort of the shirt. My problem related to the wrist openings. The is only one option for the snaps, where most shirts have two. I want to be able to ride my motorcycle without lots of wind going up my sleeve. I called the service desk to see if they could send me a couple of male end snaps and I would put them on the shirt myself, but they said the snaps are at the manufacturers location over seas and I couldn't get them. This defeats the whole purpose of me buying the shirt.
