Because I somehow anticipated this shirt to be a version of the Maine Guide shirt, I was somewhat disappointed. I would prefer that this shirt be a little longer, have buttons instead of snaps, and have bigger chest pockets. That said, the sherpa lining is quite warm, the quality of the flannel seems quite good, and the shirt does its job well.

Very comfortable, good fit with one exception: A lack of adjustability on the cuffs. A second snap closure for more adjustability would have been very helpful. The placement of the only fixed closure results in the widest possible opening and the sleeves droop down onto my hands.

A nice lined shirt for cooler inside temperatures just don't try and layer it with a jacket. Washes well.

RECEIPIENT OF THIS SHIRT IS A CARPENTER - POCKET IS NOT DEEP ENOUGH TO SNAP SHUT AND HOLD A 6.25" CELL PHONE WITHOUT FALLING OUT. FOR THIS REASON, THE SHIRT MAY HAVE TO BE RETURNED. SAME SHIRT WITH A 6.5" DEEP LEFT BREAST POCKET WOULD BE PERFECT.

Good quality, heavy weight and perfect for wearing almost as a jacket. Unfortunately it was way too big even though it was advertised as slightly fitted. Returned for an exchange as a medium. Hopefully that works out.

Great for cold weather. It is a good looking shirt/jacket. Made a nice gift for my son. He loved it. CORKEY

I love this sherpa flannel. It is very warm and comfortable. The large fits just below my waist. The slightly fitted will be a problem if you have a spare tire around your waist. It does loosen up a little after wearing it multiple times. I would say the only negative about this flannel is NO Sherpa in the arms. I didn't mind because it was on sale. But, no way would I have paid $89.00 without sherpa in the arms. Warmth - all I need is a long sleeve shirt underneath. I'm in Rochester, NY where it gets brutally cold here. Multiple layers will not work with this shirt. It becomes too tight and uncomfortable. I will buy another one. Also, the fabric is a high quality, and the colors are deep and rich. All the best. It's hard to find good quality lined flannel shirts. LL Bean did a great job on this one! Great durable quality and priced well for materials used. I prefer the pattern to be subdued on more of their shirt selections. I will definitely recommend this shirt to others. I hope to see more quality flannels with less boisterous patterns more selections.

More of a jacket than a shirt, but perfect for layering. Usual high quality from Bean, and fits pretty true to size. Was disappointed about a defect in a side pocket (it was never stitched), but Bean's fast and easy exchange policy made it right.

I was in the market for a flannel shirt/fleece shirt for my elderly father to replace one I bought ages ago. When this product became available--as a shirt--I bought it. My own fault for not reading that it had side pockets in the description. I figured LL Bean would identify it as a shirt-jac and the pockets make it uncomfortable to tuck into pants.

The shirt is nice but i expected the sleeves to be lined with the same sherpa-like material as the body of the shirt. The sleeves are lined with a quilted material which is quite a cold shot first thing in the morning in the mountains

Great shirt. Well made. Very comfortable. Only complaint is when I reach for something the sleeves ride up. This makes the shirt unappealing to me. Only wear it f it's the only one clean at the time.

Soft and comfortable but not as big or thick as we thought it would be.

To say that I love Bean lined shirts would be an understatement. I wear them inside and outside, as outer jackets or under another coat. This one is like the previous ones I have worn out. I love the plaid design and the fact that Bean is not putting fleece in the sleeves is a blessing. Just try getting your Chamois shirt arm into a fleece-line sleeve. But fleece on the torso part is great. There is one problem. It only has one snap on the sleeve cuffs. The sleeves are a little long for this gnome so the second snap is needed. A second snap would have gotten the fifth star.

You make fantastic products. They last long, they're comfortable, you get a year-long warranty, the materials are great, I love them. BUT YOUR COLORS! What are you doing?? You have all these weird, muted colors and terrible shades and...it's just really, really strange. I'm sure you make decisions based on market feedback, so...I guess it's me. I just like solid colors, or standard colors, reds and blues and blacks and whites...I dunno. The colors are terrible, IMHO. But thank you for being awesome.

Kinda thin for the money. Like a very thin flannel with little to no insulation. Its okay, I kept it to wear around the house. Wouldn't buy another one

The sleeves are unlined. It gives the sleeves a cold feeling, the rest of it is cozy. It is quite bulky looking on the body. I would have returned it if I hadn't taken off the tags.

This is not really a shirt it's a jacket with pockets (Some call it a shacket). I never know if I need L or XL, so I often err on the side of XL. But, this thing is huge. I could wear two thick jackets underneath this thing. If you're like me get the smaller size of what you normally wear.

I have had one of these shirts for a few years and have loved it. It's just very warm and the lining is thick and comforting. I just got another one. As with so many products, LL Bean has cut the quality. The new shirt is simply lighter and so not as warm and comforting. Just for the record, I put them both on to compare and compared the weight. The directions for care are different so clearly the shirt has been cheapened. It's still a warm shirt, just not the Bean quality that I have valued for years.

This is too heavy to be worn as a shirt, I would call it a jacket. There is only one snap on the sleeves cuff, so you can't adjust the it if it's long. Most shirts have two buttons to adjust the sleeve cuff. The 'jacket' is warm.

The construction, quality, and appearance are great if you are average size. My 5'9" son's fit perfectly. My older son wears a 15.5"/36-37 dress shirt and the tall was still quite short in the sleeves even though the torso length was fine. Would rate 5 stars for younger son in regular and 1 star for older son in tall.

Tan sherpa doesn't look good with dark Black-Watch tartan. Should be dark sherpa. Wouldn't buy again like this. But, it's warm.
