I bought two shirts, a blue one and a red one. The blue one is perfect to size and color. The red on has crooked seams along the side, it was washed and worn until I noticed the seams. I asked my husband if he notice anything while wearing it, because if he didn't notice I wasn't going to tell him, but he noticed. But said he could live with it.

I i usually am a very big believer in all products ll bean, but was disappointed in the weight of this shirt. It is a very fine shirt but I feel it is not as heavy as I expected for the $60 price tag I paid for it. Returned it.

They did not completely cover the inside of the shirt with the cotton fabric which acts as a barrier between the wool and the skin. This is very important for my husband who is sensitive to wool. My husband is tall and slender and the fit of the shirt is perfect. We have gone back to ordering the regular Henleys.

I like the shirt for it's warmth. However, it's very scratchy. I'm hoping with repeated washing, it will become softer.

Out of the package this shirt was great. Good fit and my husband loved it. After washing was a different story. The best way I can describe it after it came out of the dryer was that it looked like a seersucker suit. It was all wavy. At the seams it looked like the fabric shrunk but the seams didn't so it bunched up. The neckline did not hold up either. I managed to get it to look decent after ironing it but.....this is not something I expect to have iron every time it is worn. If I paid $30 for it I would not complain but this is a LL Bean shirt I paid $60 for. My husband likes it because it is warm so I will keep it.

The fabric and color are good. However, there is an issue with the construction. There is no hem in the shirt. It is just the surge stitching before the hem is sewn in. Maybe this is the current stylebut, not everyone wants to look unkempt. I bought two of these shirts for my husband for Christmas. He likes them well enough not to go through the hassle of returning them and possibly being charged for the return. I may end up hemming them.

This shirt has been washed twice and gets itchier each time. I'm afraid it will have to go back (if that's even possible). It's a beautiful shirt, excellent quality, held its shape well through the laundry.

The shirt was OK with respect to quality, appearance, and fit. However, the material felt more like a light sweater than a heavy cotton shirt, and I wasn't thrilled about the need to "lay flat to dry".

It can't be dried in the drier. Must dry flat because of the wool in the outer layer. Too much futzing for me. Back it goes. It does look and feel like it's very warm.

It's warm, bit I thought the large would fit better...I weigh 175 with a 42 chest...it's kind of snug around the middle...

The shirt is mostly comfortable, but I notice the sleeves in particular a somewhat tight fitting so it's difficult to wear even a lightweight base layer under it.

XLT shirt didn't fit which is unusual for L.L. Bean - I've had great success on other products. I'm rolling up the sleeves to fit.

I bought this for my husband. It fits well and looks nice and is a good weight for winter. However, the wool in the collar scratches his neck and also around the wrists. It washes ok, but the instructions say to lay flat to dry. I found if the wrinkles aren't smoothed out when drying, it will come out wrinkled. It can be ironed, but who wants to do that? He will wear a turtle neck tee under it so it won't scratch, but I would prefer a different material that is easier to care for.

Nice garment. Good color, good weight, nice design. But, if you are a short person, as I am, wearing this garment untucked is unstylish because it is too long. It came down to below my hips. If you are short, say 5' 5" or thereabouts, and you tuck in your Henley, go for it. As for me, I returned it. Furthermore, while I was in the store, I tried on Bean's shirts that are advertised as made to be worn untuckedwith a higher bottom hemand they were all too long for me. Bean's "untucked" shirts are for people 5' 8" or more. They need a "short" version, like there is a "tall" version.

Fabric much lighter weight than the one I bought 4 years ago. Nice shirt but not thick and heavy as I expected. I'll keep this one. I like the color but probably won't purchase another one.

It's larger than I expected. I have other shirts the same size and they fit very nicely. Also, after washing it is wrinkled.

Not the same quality as my older River driver shirt. The fabric weight has diminished. Feels cheaper like a knock off

The product is good, but I had a problem with size. I have had a good fit in the past with it, with men's M regular. When it came, it was really large, way bigger than previously bought M ones. So, I exchanged for a men's S regular. This was too small, There does't seem to be an M. I had to send the S back, too.

This layered henley lives up to its description as adding warmth under any shirt. My only concern is that the inside cotton layer isn't as comfortable next to my skin as I expected it to be. I've washed it several times now, even washing it before I wore it the first time, but there's not that smooth, silky feeling that I was expecting from a cotton interior lining. Great to wear from fall through early spring, adding more layers as needed by the temperatures; kept me warm in the deer stand in mid-November.

Things I like: weight of fabric great...this is two-layer but not heavy and cumbersome; garment well made, seams are good, sleeves (cuffs) are very sturdy and long enough to roll over if you like that look; styling is good too and the fabric is soft out of the pkg. Things I dont like: It runs smaller than other LLBean XL tops...fleece, dress shirts, tshirts, etc. This is definitely a fitted garment and I had hoped for something looser fitting. And the inside material is a little scratchy (to be fair it has not been washed yet). I will wear it after laundering and see how I like it then and will adjust stars if necessary. I will keep it but I doubt I would order another. Its just so-so.

Disappointed item did not have a completed seam at the bottom of shirt, only hand stitch. Item pictured was not evident the shirt did not have a seam. This item was a xmas gift and I did not pull the shirt from the package before wrapping. Quality shirt but did not look like a finished product. I will always recommend LL Bean products, but not on this item.

While the shirt is OK , it was not at all like the ones I have purchased in the past. It has been a while since I purchased one but I was expecting the same quality than the old was but the shirt I bought recently is not the same quality. The old shirts had more wool. This new one has very little wool content. It is not as warm as the old ones. While the shirt is nice, it seems just like the cheaper ones you sell with no wool. The older ones were made in the USA. This one is made in some other country. I am disappointed with that. I will not purchase another one of these shirt again.
