This shirt has become my virtual uniform. This one may be my sixth over perhaps ten years. Great combination of appearance, comfort and warmth.

I bought this as my second shirt, red this time. I bought a blue one a year ago and love the comfort feel. I got the large tall (6-4, 190lb, thin). I wear this out as a casual shirt, or to bed on colder nights, will wear this Friday to Monday morning, and maybe wash it or just wear it the following week before washing. I hang dry it (as I do with anything cotton). The sleeves fit a little tight when I first put in on but otherwise don't even notice. The length is good and long so it wont come out of my pants or ride up when I am bending over working so no cold draft up my back. I wear a light rain coat over it and it's good for all outdoor yard work, outdoor home repair, and misc outdoor activity. I prefer pure wool to skin when below 35 but otherwise I wear these shirts constantly. (I live in Pacific Northwest).

Fantastic shirt. I could live in these in the winter in Maine. I ordered a man's River Driver Shirt instead of a woman's because I think they are made better. The women's that LL Bean used to make were excellent. Then they were no longer available for years, then available but not as good. Wish you would start making the same shirt for women that you do for men.

This was one of the first products I ever bought at LL Bean and it's probably responsible for all the other things I've bought here as a result... This shirt is of superior quality. It fits perfectly, is extremely comfortable and the quality of the material, stitching and wear is much better than the Henley type shirts you can get at Target, Macys and other retailers. One thing I found that I was not expecting was that this shirt has a certain amount of wind-blocking capability and in 40 degree east coast weather with a breeze I was very comfortable. It's a great shirt to layer with and doesn't restrict your movement. The buttons are of very good quality and don't appear to show any signs that they're going to come off any time soon. I would highly recommend this shirt.

...negative reviews on these shirts. I am a big guy with a little extra around the middle, and I really like the cut of these shirts. It almost makes you look like you have a V-cut.They are warm and they look good. You can use them in a lot of different situations. Made in Canada. I wish they were not as expensive as they are, but I will gladly pay the price. I own older versions, and I just purchased four more in the last week. They seem the same in quality.

I purchased the Men's M size & it fits me. Female 5'7 and 160 lbs. It is warm and I like the green color. I have washed it once and air dried. So far no shrinkage.

I bought one of these to start and really liked it so I bought several more colors. They are very warm and durable. The size large regular fits me fine (6' 3") but I do not put mine in the dryer, I let it air dry. If you have to put it in the dryer I wouldn't put it in for long or turn the heat down to low. I wear mine as a base layer when I'm out in the cold and I also wear it out casually. Great quality shirts.

What a great shirt! In cooler weather, I like long sleeve pullover type shirts. This one is so comfortable. The material is thicker than the typical T-shirt material. It is ideal for those days when long sleeves feel good, but a sweater is too much. One of my favorites. I have told my wife serval times how much I love this shirt in hopes that she will take the hint and buy me another one! Definitely thumbs up on this one.

My husband just loves this shirt and I bought him three. Don't forget that the tag says "lay flat to dry" and you will have no problem with excessive shrinkage. It's worth the extra time and care in drying!

My husband loves these henleys for cold weather... they are so warm yet soft and comfortable with the cotton inside. A must have if you have to be out in below freezing weather.

We bought a couple of these in different colors and my husband loves them. However, the size we originally ordered based on the size chart was too large, so we exchanged for a size down. Also, be aware that the material is not a soft material.

After decades of service, several years ago I finally wore through my stock of Duofold cotton/wool thermals and vainly searched for the product of that Pennsylvania company that had by that time gone out of business. I was glad to find the "two-layer" duofold fabric on L.L. Bean's website, but skeptical. Surprise, surprise! The henley feels like my old shirts and is very substantial and warm. Better still, it is made in Canada (not in some Asian sweatshop) where folks earn a decent living for their labor. Thanks to L.L. Bean's Board for publicly distancing the Company from a particular Board member's personal politics, without which this fine shirt would have been returned and future patronage halted. Time to stock up; I'll be submitting another order for more of these shirts in short order!

The Two-Layer River Driver's Shirt, Traditional Fit Henley was exactly what I was looking for. The weather in N. California is often cool and damp, even in the summer. I wanted a shirt that I could layer with a vest or a fleece and be comfortable. The Two-Layer River Driver's Shirt, Traditional Fit Henley, Regular is a handsome shirt that succeeds beyond all my expectations.

I have purchased a lot of clothing from LLB over the past 30 years and can say this shirt is one of the best I have found. I purchased it a month ago and just ordered a second one which is probably the best testimony I could offer. It is comfortably warm and well fitting. This shirt is an excellent first layer on really cold days and should be perfect with a vest on cool spring and fall days .

Great base to mid layer shirt. It's also great to wear on it's own. Perfect for getting work done around the yard or in the garage on a cold fall day.

I've been wearing these River Driver's shirts for 25 years, since my mom bought me my first one for Christmas. The are absolutely the best shirt for comfort, warmth, and durability. I use them as base layer for skiing or any cold-weather outdoor activity, or even lounging around the house. The blend of wool, cotton, and reinforced lycra in the cuffs makes them comfy and extremely long-lasting. I still have, and wear, the original one from 25 years ago!

I got this one and a cream one to go with my fleece lined flannel shirt. It came the day before we had some really cold weather hit. I wore these with the shirt and they were very warm. However, the second day we had some wind and they, and me, were challenged a little more. But as cold as it was they did good. But if I was going to stay outside for an extended time I would want a windbreaker over these.
