This is the fourth River Driver shirt I've ordered from LLB. Need I say more?

warm and comfy for chilly to very cold weather!

I have purchased these for my husband before and have wished that I could have some for myself. I am a female and I work outside. LLBean doesn't make these for women (I guess we're not supposed to work outside!), so I tried a small men's size. Sweet! It fit! It's kinda long for me, and the shoulder area is a little big, but I love these shirts for winter. They come a little stiff and scratchy, but soften up after a couple washes.

I have owned some of these shirts for over ten years, 10 strenuous years and they are just now ready to be replaced. Great shirt

I love these relaxed, casual henley shirts. They wash well and look fresh even after many wearings.

This is the perfect shirt for around the house, if you keep it cool, or as a layer under a jacket. It is not as heavy as a sweater but nearly as warm. I bought one, and after wearing a week, I bought another.

I bought this for my son as a gift since my husband loves the one I got him. The weight and warmth is great for winter, warmer than a tee but not too warm for inside. I expect my son to love his as much.

This is the warmest shirt that I have. It is warmer than any of my thermal tops so this is my "go to" shirt for very cold weather. I love it! I order the tall large so that it stays tucked and the sleeves are plenty long.

Whatever the fabric content is this year ... well, it's true, they won't shrink! Based on other reviews, I went ahead and ordered a tall size knowing that I was going to put it in the dryer and attempt to shrink it ... well, it won't shrink! So that's a good thing, isn't it! This is a great quality shirt and should last years. I've had the previous years river driver shirts and they have shrunk without putting them in the dryer but not this one. Go ahead and buy with confidence ... just buy your usual size.

Still a great shirt. I am not sure if "Verified Buyer" will show up beside my review since there was no link from my Purchase History page for this product, but I just bought one this past November and the quality is still top notch, the material is thick and soft, and the shirt is well made. To protect against any possible shrinking I line dry these and have been very happy with that process. The sleeves are long and reach the top joint of my thumb which is just where I like my winter clothes. (My dress shirt sleeve size is 35-36) Hope LL Bean continues to make these in Tall. So disappointed that they stopped making their turtlenecks in Tall.

In live in CO and this shirt is perfect for winter days. I only wish you still offered the shirt in women's.

In North Carolina it gets chilly it doesn't get cold. When I am working in my wood shop these are the best! They are the perfect fit, sturdy contruction and I look stone cold sexy in my man blouse. I have 5 different colors. Black, green, blue, red and gray. If you want to pretend to be manly wear one of these. You still won't be able to rebuild a carburetor but some young gal might let you buy her a cocktail.

The men in my family are mainly outdoor workmen. Keeping them warm is a challenge in often damp and raw northeast weather. The river driver is always on their yearly lists of most wanted items. keep this item in your catalogs!!

Perfect for tall and lean body types. Doesn't look big, perfect fit around chest and waist. Perfect for long arms

Very comfortable and warm. Washed warm water, low temp dry first time. NO shrinkage.

I have bought many of these over the years, some he has had 5 years and wears as layers all winter. Holds up nice after many many washes...good fit, nice colors, and warm.

I put off buying one of these for years because it looked like a glorified long sleeve Tee Shirt. I wanted something that would be warm enough to wear under a windbreaker. After buying one I liked it so much that I bought two more on sale. They are perfect by themselves and work well with layering. I like my shirts a little large so this is fine but others might prefer a medium Either way I am very satisfied. Like so many LL Bean items that have been around for ages this stands up to the test of time.

Very nice warm winter shirt, good fit, love the concept of wool outside and cotton next to body.

I have wanted one of these for years. I tried the waffle one on in the store and like this one better. It feels more substantial to me and comfortable.
