I love these shoes except that the left shoe is making my foot hurt. The toe box of my left shoe is to tight or narrow that after an hour or so of wearing them, causes my foot to hurt, especially my toes.

I have owned 3 pairs of these over the last 6 years, all were size 11 and fit fine. My newest pair arrived and are at least 1/2 size if not a full size larger than all my previous pairs. They last about 2 years in everyday use, typically after 2 years they split either where the leather uppers are bonded to the rubber or where the rubber is bonded to the sole. Not the best quality but as good as any others I've tried so I keep coming back to them.

I returned them because they were to big. I ask to replace with size smaller but only got credit and no exchange. Really was disappointed would like to try a size 12.

Why don't you offer these shoes in a wide width? I have a pair of D Width shoes and though I like the shoes, they are too narrow. I tried the next half size up, and my heel kept slipping and getting irritated.

I love the style and slip on design of these boots. My problem is that the waterproofing broke down after a couple of winters of use. Also my larger, left foot heel slips in the size I always wear...9....strange.

The third time I wore them, one end of left foot pull-on strap broke loose. I'm confident that ll bean will replace them, but they are back-ordered to late April, so I will probably hold off until winter is over. (I haven't called customer service yet.)
From a fit perspective, the toe section is curved upward, presumably to help with traction, avoid tripping, or .... The downside is that it puts enough pressure on big toe nail to ache a little. I like the boots enough that I live with the mild discomfort.

As much as this was exactly what I was looking for, a quick slip on/off for walking the dogs in the rain, my feet were slipping out too much in the back for a new shoe ordered in my normal size. Returned them within days of receipt. If it wasn't for the shipping costs and inconvenience of time, I'd have reordered in a 1/2 size smaller, but I think I am done with ordering things I cannot try on before buying.

Shoe is at least one size too small. Very hard to put on. Nice looking and looks well made but couldn't wear. Had to return.

These boots are on the narrow side of Medium (D) width. I even went up a size on a re-order. Still didn't fit. Going up a size normally works but not on these. Quality seemed good, but I couldn't get comfortable in them, to narrow.

Too narrow for a winter shoe that will be worn with heavy socks. I had to return the first pair that I ordered in my usual size. They were too narrow and too short. The replacements work with thinner socks but should be wider.

Haven't bought much from Bean since we moved to the PNW. I've had bad luck with waterproof shoes here so I thought I would give Bean a try.
I chose this style because the reviews indicated sizing runs bigger. It does. The fit is similar to those wide Sketchers out there. I was happy with the length but my heal slips. (Sigh).
The other issue is there seems to be a lump right at the ball of the foot. That and the sole is pretty stiff. At first I thought I would send them back.
Materials and workmanship are good. I wore them in the rain to walk the dog a couple times. I decided to keep them and see if they break in. They are basically what I wanted - just that they don't feel quite right yet.

loved the looks and it slid on easily, then I wore them for a few hours. looking at them they look "off" ....hard to describe but the result is sore big toes from rubbing in shoe, on both feet

I've a pair of these for a few years and use them for gardening, mowing yard, etc. I like these shoes BUT I wish they would offer these in a wider width. I have to wear my current pair without socks, and even them they get uncomfortable after a half hour. I tried stepping up a larger size but the shoe slipped off my heel which was even worse.

Seems well made.
Toe box narrows quite a bit.
Overall length seems a bit short on the size 11.
Returning.

These shoes were not a good fit for me. They slipped and I am a senior. I need a shoe that has more stability. I was really hoping that they would work out . I was looking for a shoe that I could slip into.

I recommend sizing up 1/2 to 2 full size,
Very tight fitting and oddly slips in the heel.
Still looking for my snow boots.

I've owned an older pair of these Bean boots for several years and loved them. Decided it was finally time to replace them. Ordered the Wide size based on website recommendation, but still found them way too narrow for a comfortable fit. The ankle collar is also higher & smaller than my older model, making foot entry difficult. They still appear to be well made from quality materials, so I'm disappointed that I'll need to return them.

Last pair I bought started leaking after 5 years and why I bought this pair. This pair leaking on right foot, after approximately 3 years. Of course, warranty only good for a year, very poorly made. Another example L.L. Bean nothing like it used to be. Poor quality of everything pushing me away. They really used to be the go to store for outdoor clothing.

The shoes fit well and are very useful for my purposes of yard work. Sadly, after about two years (2023-25) the shoes literally fell apart, separating between the leather and rubber seam. Literally disintegrated. Pretty expensive shoe to last only two years. Bean products generally look good, but this is an example of cheap foreign sourced goods that are very expensive junk.

Bought a pair of these about 2 years back and loved them so much I went and bought another pair in a different color. BUT low and behold as others have stated, the toe area in one of them is leaking very bad. quite dissappointed in a shoe that leaks within 2 years.

I wear a 10.5 sometimes a 10.5 wide with a narrow shoe. After reading many “true to size reviews, I purchased 10.5. I can’t believe I even got my foot in the shoe. It was painful. I’d need at least 11 wide, but since it’s virtually impossible to find, will go with another brand.
