I waited quite a while to order these because of the cost but have a couple pairs of Bean slippers which I've had for years and absolutely love so I waited for a sale and ordered them. They were originally back ordered and when I finally received them much to my surprise something just didn't seem quite right. When I tried them on the Left slipper just bunched up and didn't fit well at all. After a bit more inspection it was obvious that a Right upper was sewn (very skillfully I might add) to a Left sole. I returned them for credit and will reorder them in a while when I'm sure they have new stock to avoid the same situation. Rather disappointing quality control from a first class company. It did provide a good chuckle though ;-)

Size 13 - length , matched to another similarly-sized slipper, was exact. However, the "triple E" width, when I expected a medium D width, make them unwieldy at best - "boat-like"! How about taking them back ?

- 50 years of wearing size 10
- currently own numerous pairs of size 10 footwear
- ordered these in 10
- too large, need 9.5 or 9?? -
(too large even prior to factoring in the box's enclosed note explaining the mocs original fit should feel snug as they will stretch during break-in and conform to one's foot)
- one of the frustrations mail order clothing purchases
- bummer

Poor quality for price charged. Followed size guidance and fit was way too big. Had to pay to send them back. Poor customer service. Fail.
Will not be back.

All my previous slippers have been great ! I thought this one might be a good upgrade but it was anything but ! Way too wide, very uncomfortable. It is being returned for my original favorite !

Poor quality. Too big and sloppy. Better choice is the $49 slipper that is sewn tighter with flannel insert. Very disappointed.

This slipper looks far better in black. I don't understand why you don't offer this in black leather anymore. This slipper in black leather was the best looking men's slipper you carried. I waited for months for sizes to be restocked for online ordering, but they never were. Now the black leather has been removed altogether. I really don't like this slipper in chocolate. They look like any $20.00 pair of slippers. I've seen this slipper in black suede and the look of quality doesn't even come close to this slipper in black leather. The wicked good men's slipper in black leather was the coolest looking slipper I've ever seen anywhere. What excuse could possibly justify discontinuing this slipper in black leather?

Inadequate arch support. Looks like it will fall apart soon with moderate use.

Yep, LL Bean, once American-made and the pinnacle of quality is no longer either. This is the approximately 8th order I've received that was not quality checked before being shipped to me. I received 2 RIGHT foot slippers. It appeared that the leather was cut for right feet then the manufacturer attempted to make left slipper after sewing for right foot. I've had to return 3 pairs for falling apart. When you actually get a properly made pair, they're wonderful. The person to whom I gifted LOVED them and wore them all day after opening the gift. BUT the frustration of paying $100 for slippers and receiving subpar quality, I'm done with LL Bean.

I gave only one star to get everyone's attention! First, the sole is made of a material that marks my floors. Second, the rawhide lace gave me the same problem that everyone else seemed to complain about. Can't keep them tied! I solved that problem by removing the laces.
I have owned the same slippers before with the leather soles and just removed the laces. Was very happy with those.
If these were made with non-marking soles and without the laces, I would give 5 stars.
