I have a pair of bison mocs from LL Bean and over the years I have occasionally worn them out on my concrete drive going to the mail box. As a result I have worn a small hole in the outer sole of those mocs. I loved those mocs so when I saw these with a rubber sole I thought I would get a pair for the occasional outside trek to the mailbox. Well there is good news and bad news. The good is that they have full rubber soles that will stand up to occasional outside use. The bad is that they are much less structured than the bison mocs. The leather is very soft and pliant where the bison mocs were more like comfortable shoes. The moosehides feel like slippers. Kind of a paradox. I guess I will see where they take me. A bison leather with a waterproof sole would be the perfect one for me. Right now I have the best of 1/2 of each. I would reccomend either style to anyone. Make sure you order a size smaller than normal because both pair size sevens stretched to fit my size 8 foot.

Love the Moosehide exterior & fur-lined interior. Walk outside & not feel like your in slippers !! Normally wear a size 11 shoe, but the 11's where loose & sloppy out of box. Exchanged for the size 10 moccasin & was perfect....after I wore them a few days, they stretched out PERFECTLY and are equally comfortable in bare feet or socks.

Ordered my regular size of 11D. Have been this size since I can remember. When the product arrived it was a size too large & much too wide although it was marked as an 11D. Returned the item & since it wasn't available in half sizes, I ordered a 10D which fit well. Since I have only had this item for a short while, I cannot comment on the durability, etc. They do feel & look good. Good sole to walk outside. If memory serves me correctly, I experienced the same problem when I ordered other foot wear which was also returned for a smaller size.

Purchased these to wear in the house instead of slippers. Added inserts for some arch support I needed. Very comfortable and appear to be of good quality. Will have to see how they wear and how long they last.

The only reason I didn't give the shoes a 5 is the shoe laces. It is impossible to keep them tied. I put glue on them, problem solved, except the glue is white.

I've worn Bean sheepskin lined slippers for years, and love them. The whole extended family wears them. Since I wear them to take the dog out into the back yard first thing in the morning, I wanted finished leather rather than suede, for rainy or snowy days. These fill the bill very well.
The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the soles on these are very slippery in light snow. That's never been a problem with other Bean hard-soled slippers. But I still over them.

Nice slippers, just what I had hoped for. The lining is very warm and comfortable. Typical Bean quality. A bit pricey, but worth it.

My husband exchanged these for a different style. He is very happy with the soles of these as compared to what he returned. Not so slippery

The shoe was not the size ordered. There were two labels on the box, one for size 9 and another for size 10. I ordered a size 10 but received a size 9.

Outside of slipper durable, inside wears out within 6 months of wear. It's such poor quailty for a company with a quality rich history. Such a disappointment!

My husband's LL Bean slippers of many years are wearing out, so we ordered another pair. They are as well constructed as he remembered them, but they are way too narrow for his feet. It would be difficult to imagine that they would stretch enough. He was sad to return them.

They are too narrow for my feet. Sizing should include shoe width equivalent.

They are really too big , he wears 101/2 so they suggested order up a size 11
And they are too big ! I should have ordered a 10 , so they don't stay on his feet well , he's elderly so he's afraid he will fall with them not fitting well
I'm so diapsapointed
I use you all the time @nd everything else fits great just not the slippers so he dosnt wear them .
When t get to Fla. Where he is I may send them back for a size ch@nge , I'm in Georgia right now , he will not send them b@ck , he's a little old and that's my job I guess .

Beautiful slipper, just too narrow for me. If you need a wide best to pass on this.

I just received my 5th pair of these slippers in the last 12 or so years. Obviously I have been a fan. Were it not for the shearling I could have worn the first 3 of 4 pair as dress shoes. They were perfect looking though the lining seems to be getting thinner over the years.
My new pair's left foot is obviously sewn crookedly and has a significantly different appearance. The fit and feel isn't affected but they are a disappointment from previous versions, but then they are just slippers. Not sure the "wicked good" part is applicable any longer. They are now wicked adequate. The price, however, has not been adjusted for the new quality level and the value once obvious...not so much.
As it seems with everything else, newer is not better. May have to re-think the next pair.

I received my slippers today. Unfortunately, they will be heading back to Maine. A 10D is normally a wide, but this is definitely not the case. Plan on ordering a size bigger and wider than you normally would. Too bad it was a very good looking slipper.

I was expecting them to be softer on my feet than they are. The price is alittle high and quality over rated.

I think the left one was a 12. The right one may be a 13. These 2 shoes are definitely not a pair. Multiple differences between the two, but size is a dead giveaway. They should have never been put in the same box.

While I do like the mocs, my "pair" should have arrived in 2 separate boxes. They really don't look to be a "pair" at all, but rather 2 individual shoes. The right one is loose and slips on my foot even though I've re-tied and tightened the laces. It may be a 13 in reality (they're both labeled 12). The stitching is different from right to left shoe, and the shearling is definitely different. The shearling pours out of one shoe, but is contained in the other. Either pair would have been fine, but this is just weird. I'm going to keep them because I like them...it's just weird. I don't know if it's quality control, or maybe it's like the Twix company (left and right factories :)
