The soles of the shoes started deteriorate within weeks of limited wear. Never buy again. Miss my Cole Hann's.

When I placed these slippers in my bag a few days ago, the price was $120. When I went ahead to finalize the purchase, the price had gone up to $130.

I have been wearing these slippers for at least 30 years. The new version is not the same quality as previous purchases. This is the second pair to have the leather "chip" off on the heel to show the white material underneath within a short period of time. I returned the first pair but when it happened again I decided to just wear them out and not buy again.

Got these as a gift for my birthday less than a year ago, and have worn them lightly around the house [never once outside]. After a few months, the leather liner on the right side came unglued, and now the other one has as well. This caused the insole on both to peel off at the toe area and roll up in a bunch, effectively ruining them. They seemed really nice but ruined after only light use in less than a year. I wouldn't spend money replacing them, which is a real shame. SUPER disappointed honestly

This was my 2nd pair, but I returned them. Loved my first pair from 5 years ago, and I am a brand loyal LL Bean customer. But the new moccasins had an insole that did not feel like real leather, and my feet began to sweat immediately. All leather is key, and the insole insert did not appear to be real leather, but was made to look similar.

The size was way off, there was no removable insole, the insole was not padded - basically useless for me. Returned it. Tried a different size; same issue. A few years ago Bean made a similar leather slipper with a synthetic sole and a padded leather insole that lasted for years and was wonderful; they discontinued it - isn't that weird. To drop your best product.

The soles are too slick though the leather is beautiful. Too easy to slip and fall

Very uncomfortable because leather is too thick and stiff. exchanged them got a pair of flannel lined leather slippers. these are also too stiff but within the range that i believe will soften up with enough saddle soap or neatsfoot oil.

Look nice. Fit fine. But treacherous for walking very slippery. My husband tried them on, moved his foot along the carpet, and said, "I don't think I want to keep these!" He really was concerned that he would slip and fall. We returned them.

Hard to believe that LLBean continues to sell these. The soles are so slippery that you can't get out of a chair on to a carpeted surface. How many falls have these caused?

Slippers are a size or 2 too small and for over $100 bucks couldn't you add a somewhat comfortable interior lining. There is no lining at all. You have to wear socks and they're still uncomfortable and the fit is even worse. Leather and stiching quality is OK, but overall not worth even 1/2 the price.

I bought these slippers for my husband for xmas which appeared to be well stitched, but they were WAY too small in width and in length. I ordered his 9.5 size up to a 10 and he could not even get his foot into the slipper. He previously owned two pairs and liked them but these are not the same at all, plus the soles are very smooth and slippery. We returned them in person to the Freeport flagship store and spoke with the shoe manager to explain the issues and asked that it be reviewed at their next management meeting. We ended up buying a different slipper with safer soles but even those had to be a size 11 to fit his usual size 9.5-10. We have been buying merchandise from Bean's for over 50 years with great satisfaction, but this lack of quality control does not bode well for the Bean brand of excellence. Please review your specifications and bring your manafacturing back to the USA to restore the quality we have always enjoyed.

I first purchased a pair of these moccasins over 50 years ago. Absolutely fantastic quality. I still wear them. They show some age so I was encouraged to get rid of them and replace them. Glad I kept the old ones. The new ones were disappointing. On the inside surface of the sole there is a glued, not sewn, transverse marriage of two pieces of leather. That was botched in the manufacturing process and separated, the edge of the forward piece lifted and rolled which was uncomfortable to put it mildly. A shoemaker glued it and pressed it back in place to make the moccasin wearable. I contacted Bean and they blew me off saying it had been altered. It was two months old. To make matters worse, the second pair I purchased at the same time, arrived with a visible deformity, a bulbous projection on one side of the toe. It looks ridiculous. That moccasin never should have been placed in stock or been shipped. Clearly, quality is hit and miss and in both pair of moccasins now priced at $120 a pair, it was a complete miss. Bean had numerous opportunities to fix their mistakes and failed on each occasion. I have no confidence Bean can provide quality that made them a standout. I have no confidence they care to correct their failures. I once believed they were an outstanding company. They convinced that they are not. I lost respect for Bean products and customer service and have purchased nothing since.

The thong that went over the arch of my right foot dough into my foot and broke the skin. Otherwise it seemed like a good shoe.

I bought these ages ago--as soon as I opened the box I knew they had to be returned--quality of leather is trash and it is clear LLBean is done. The shoes are made overseas and it's sad that they used to have a good reputation--Never again, I am done. I would literally be embarrassed to sell these shoes--you used to be able to see the leather and just know it was high quality, but those days are gone. Plus they didn't even fit.

I bought these slippers thinking they were made in the USA. They looked pretty good, and the name implied a double sole, so I thought they would last a while. When they arrived the were labeled as made in El Salvador. Five months later, after only wearing them around the house with occasional trips down a paved driveway for the mail, there is a hole in the heel of the left slipper. To my chagrin, THERE ARE NOT TWO LAYERS OF LEATHER IN THE SOLE. Just one, and it looks very thin. Not the quality I have been used to getting from LL Bean, especially considering the price they ask for these slippers. It looks like another great American company has decided to offshore the reputation for quality their American manufacturing employees built over the years. Sad to say, but maybe the people who say the US is doomed are right.

I bought this back in 2020 but would wear them from time to time. Last night the right side ripped just like that.
