These shoes are so stiff. It's like I'm wearing wooden shoes. Took one walk and figured out I just wasted $125.00 on what looked like quality shoes.

It's a shame I had tucked these deep in the closet and now I've missed the return window. I finally put them on today after a rainy day. I was shocked to find I was slipping on sidewalks and road surfaces. So very disappointed!

I have had storm chasers for many but for some reason the newest version the soles do not wear well. I had a pair that I used 3 times and they are already worn out. The older version had yreads and lasted for years. Very unfortunate

Ordered these for a trip to Ireland. They would have been great but the right shoe at top near arch was constructed poorly. It caused a lot of pain. Construction was not the same as left shoe.Returned them. Ordered another pair and they arrived with stitching coming apart. Not sure why they were sent to me. It was obvious there was a problem. Returing them. Very disappointed. Won't try to order again.

I always wear a size 7.5 M. The storm chaser 7.5 was huge on my foot. Exchanged it for a 7.0 and they were still way too big. They also seemed to be too wide and was not willing to try a 6.5.

I have this shoe form several years ago. They are my favorite shoe for walking in the winter. As they had gotten worn out I purchased this new pair, which is nothing like the previous model. The sole is not as rugged and the shoe is much narrower. Unfortunately, I had to return them and will wear the older model until it can't be worn.

Very disappointed in these shoes. I bought a pair several years ago and they were a rugged quality. These are not . The tread on them is terrible.

They really need 1/2 sizes. 7 is too small and 8 is too big. Disappointed.

Ordered my size. They were huge with 2 pairs of socks. Also, it was obvious the storm chasers had been worn and then returned before I bought them. Needless to say I returned, again.

They run large and are clunky on a senior's foot plus they are heavy.

I bought the original design several years ago and still love wearing those. I needed another pair to wear at work so recently bought the new design; I should have listened to the reviews of the other customers who complained about the design change. These are EXTREMELY rigid and inflexible, to the point that I actually developed a stress fracture on one of my toes after wearing outdoors all day! My toe is taped now and will heal, the uncomfortable shoes are being shipped back as I write this, and LL Bean was wonderful in giving me a full refund. LL Bean, please go back to the old design which was far more comfortable!

PLEASE bring back the old style storm chaser ): These boots are NOT slip on, I get a workout just trying to put them on. They sit in the closet. I'm sending them to Goodwill. Why does LL Bean continually change their great products. If it's not broke, why keep trying to fix it???

Lack of 1/2 size meant that the shoe didn't fit well. Also was very heavy. Returned to store.

I returned 2 pairs because they didn't fit properly...too wide. I'm so disappointed. I loved my previous storm chasers. So much so that they wore out :(

I used to love these shoes but they have remodeled the women's version to something that is clunky and uncomfortable. They were tight above the top of my foot because where there used to be fabric, there is now leather. I returned them and am contemplated purchasing the smallest size of the men's version, which seems unchanged.

I couldn't get my foot in the shoe and returned the shoes. The size and width looked OK, but when I went to try them on, I couldn't get my whole foot into the shoe, even with the laces undone. The opening was too small to allow the foot to slide in. This was the same issue with boots I ordered at the same time. The quality of the shoes over the years has declined which is unfortunate. I have always loved and depended on the quality of LLBean's products.

I eventually ordered this shoe in 3 sizes. Size 10 (my usual size), then 9 1/2, then a 9. The 10 was way too large and heel slipped out when walking. The 9 1/2 was slightly too large and heel slipped out when walking. The 9 fit perfectly but my heel slipped out of the opening when walking. Tried with super thick SmartWool socks...still slipped. Really wanted these boots to work but the heel slippage issue was a deal breaker for me. Ended up buying a Hunter shoe boot with a draw cord at the heel for a snug fit. They are perfect. Perhaps LLBean could look at this design element since heel slippage seems to be an issue for many customers.

I work outside, have a dog cardio exercise business, and I've been using LLBean's storm chasers for YEARS - have loved them and recommended them to everyone. However, my recent purchase was the new 'women' style and I'm so bummed. They don't have nearly the structure and support of the old (men's?) style. My foot is sort of wandering and sliding around inside the shoe. The old style has great arch support, this one very little. The length is OK, so I don't think I can go down a size. They're going back. I may try to order a men's style but I don't think they go small enough (I'm a pretty standard size 7 women). What a shame to mess with an excellent product.

How frustrating that Bean can't adapt to universal sizing. Never have a fit issue with other manufacturers sizes. A full size too big.
