I had hoped this would be the perfect winter slip-on shoe for me as construction looks sturdy and well made and it had so many good reviews - but unfortunately with my high arched foot, the opening was too narrow to comfortably put this shoe on. The stiff upper part painfully scrapes the top of my foot and the heel portion bends in - not a slip-on for me. Once I managed to wrangle my foot in wearing a very thin sock, I found that the heel area was too loose. Would probably be OK with a thicker sock but then I wouldn't have been able to put it on at all. I will be returning.

Stiff, clunky, very heavy, and a full size too big. LLBean is the only company on the planet with which I have such difficulty getting the correct size in shoes. These are uncomfortable, inflexible, and flop around on my feet even with thick socks. I regret buying these.

I really wanted this shoe to work for me, as it looked to be perfect for all my time spent in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I am normally a size 8.5 or 9.0; after alternatively ordering both of these sizes plus a size 8.0, I gave up---they were all HUGE and nowhere near to fitting. Very disappointing, and my quest took many weeks of futile shipping and returns.

I ordered my normal size 8M in the Storm Chasers slip on boot in black..Nice boot ..BUT not made right and sizing is way off!! Tried on with a medium sock which I normally wear it was huge! I was walking out of them! Could fit two fingers in the back at heel..They sent me a 7-1/2..Could fit one finger in the back and walked right out of the 7-1/2 too! Returned both... So I went in the store and tried on a 7 still walked out of them and could fit one finger in the back by heel, and the 7 was to small because normal size is an 8..These boots are defective in all sizes I tried on.. They have a defect that should be fixed before selling more of the Storm Chasers! For the price of over $100.00 they should fit right!

I've been wearing LL Bean shoes since the 1970's. Wore the women's LL Bean rubber moc shoes for nearly 30 years, then I switched to the Storm Chaser. No more shavings or muck inside my boots! Perfect! Well my old Storm Chasers finally wore out after 15 years of constant use around my farm, so I decided to treat myself with a new pair. They are lovely. Love the navy/grey combo. But I'm afraid that is all I can say nice about them. The shoe is totally different now and does not fit me well at all. I have a rather bad sore on my right heel because they slip as I walk. A smaller size would be too short for my toes. Not any better with socks on. My old Storm Chasers fit perfectly, with or without socks. Even after 15 years, the old Storm Chasers still fit perfectly. The elastic opening is so large on the new shoes that I can fit my whole hand in there - my old Storm Chasers it was nice and snug (even after 15 years). The new model has no heel at all - totally flat bottoms. My old Storm Chasers had a heel, which comes in handy around a farm. The soles feel like tennis shoes, not boots and are too flexible. I can feel every piece of gravel as I walk down the driveway. The pulls are thin grosgrain ribbon like material - my old Storm Chasers pulls were thick, durable leather. The new model sits much lower on my foot, below my ankle - the old Storm Chasers covered my ankle bones entirely. They are pretty, but I really wish I could have a new pair just like my old ones. I know things change and move on with time, but here the new model Storm Chaser just doesn't hold a candle to the old one in my opinion. Very disappointing.

Why can you not make your shoes in wide width? Please.

According to fit description, it advises to size up if your a half size. I am always a 7.5 so I ordered 8. Too big, a whole size. I have average width foot. And 7 not available until all of a sudden next day after I ordered a different pair marked at a higher price :(

I have a pair of Storm Chaser 4 that I've rarely worn. I pulled them out of my closet a couple weeks ago, put them on and noticed this happened. The top material is just falling apart. As you can see from the bottoms, they've barely been worn. I do have other shoes that are older and they've not fallen apart. I saw this also happened to another customer and figured I needed to add my voice. I'll definitely think twice before buying footwear from LLBean again.

Boot seemed heavy, hard to slip my foot into and too large. Size 8

The seems came apart in less the 2 months. I was extremely dissatisfied. I've never had this problem with a pair of LL Bean shoes. I only wore then to the park with my son and out running errands and they were wonderful at first. I don't have the order slip and it said on the website I could return them if I had the slip so I'm out over $100 on shoes I can't use. I'm extremely disappointed.

I am a long time LLB customer, and I've purchased lots of footwear. I purchased these this fall and was so excited to finally keep my feet dry. I wore them a few times and just returned them. Even with inserts in the shoes, they were terribly uncomfortable and I couldn't wear them for extended amounts of time. More concerning was how slippery they were when wet. They had no grip to speak of, and even outside they were slippery. Inside on floors in stores or in my home they were actually dangerous. Really substandard product at any price, and especially at this price point. Very disappointed.

I have similar style from yes, 2014... Tek 2.5, item 290496. I really never wore them much and they have been in a closet. Yesterday I slipped them on for Fall yard work and by the end of the day they looked like this... the rubber is like dry rotting or something....? The leather and the sole of the shoe are just fine. I am disapointed. I know they are from 2014, but never worn much, and to have this happen seems crazy. Is this common? I have never owned a pair of shoes or boots that have had this happen. I have always had liked LLBean quality and so this is just taking me by surprise.

Have bought bean boots for many years and depended on the superb traction and support of the vibram soles. These flat shoes are nothing like the previous model. The only other option with the old vibram sole is a winter boot costing over $150. I noticed the men's version has not changed. Go figure.

Disappointing. Not made as well as the Storm Chaser Shoe 4 Slip on Women's. Don't wasted your money this shoe does not have stability or durability.

The sizing of this version of the Storm Chaser Shoe is off. I am a size 7 in all my other shoes and boots but the size 7, size 6.5 AND the size 6 of these have been returned. Size 6 may have fitted if it weren't for the opening that wasn't at all snug on my ankle so caused my foot to slide around when I walked. My previous size 7 Storm Chasers - purchased probably 5 years ago - were a great fit. I am really disappointed that I won't have Storm Chasers to wear this year.

Size 7 was too small and 7 1/2 was huge, in fact I walked right out of the shoe?

I've been buying Storm Chasers for years. They are my favorite barn shoes. They take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. I have to say that I am not a fan of the latest style change. I dislike it so much that I thank the gods that I bought a spare pair before the style change. My previous pair lasted for several years. I'm hoping the style changes again before I need another pair because I certainly won't buy another pair as long as they look like this.

The shoes I ordered in the size I always wear came to me at lease 2 sizes bigger than I could wear. So, I sent them back to you and you charged me for shipping. I will never order from you again.

LLBean hikers are a go to for me. They fit me well. This boot is an exception. I had to return them. It was difficult to pull on, and once on, it was too large and sloppy on my foot. There is nothing like a laced boot for a good fit.

This is my third pair of Storm Chasers. I absolutely adored my first two pair, this one not so much. The design has changed, the length was fine but the rest of the shoe is much wider than it used to be. This pair slips off at the heel when walking while the previous Storm Chasers never did that. Also the bottom treads have been changed and are not as sturdy and rugged as they used to be.

Not for me. The shoe was too loose in some spots and too tight in others. I am resigned to wearing lace-ups the rest of my days, but I love the idea of convenient slip-ons. Returned these.

The last pair of these I purchased were wonderful and lasted me for over 7 years with almost daily use. This pair was totally different. There was absolutely no arch support and the shoes were uncomfortable from the first time I put them on. I tried them with an arch support insert, which made them even worse. The sole itself is flat and not nearly as rugged as my previous pair, and the tab on the back that helps when pulling the shoe on is so small that I could barely get a finger in it. I was very disappointed and sad - I truly loved my previous pair of Storm Chasers.

Fantastic shoes to wear during the messy weather days while camping, doing yardwork, or taking a walk. Love that they are waterproof, comfortable to wear, & easy to get on & off. The fit was accurate for my foot( I have a wide foot).
