Although these are cute and would be very versatile! The opening for your foot is too big and your slips when walking. It would definitely give you a blister.

I could not get the sizing to work - tried twice and returned twice. Decided to try another LL Bean rain boot.

Way too big - I normally wear a size 8 but ordered a 7.5 after reading reviews. They were still too big!

Wanted these slip ons so much but could not find a size that fit. Needs more structure on the inside.
I had several pairs of these years ago and they fit beautifully and lasted a long time. Obviously Beans has changed the design.

The heel is abnormally loose fitting and rest of shoe fits fine. This is a complaint by many. I didn't think would be this bad.

Looked like a decent shoe but size was way off. I normally wear a size 8-81/2 and the 8 1/2 were way too big and my daughter who wears a size 9 tried them on and they were too big for her also. It seemed like maybe they were a mens size 8 1/2 but the box said womens.

I ordered my usual size - 6.5. They were too long and too wide. Fit more like a 7.5 wide.

The quality of this shoe has declined substantially. These were my third or fourth pair, and will be my last. First, they do not slip on easily any more. You really have to tug. The pull tab on one heel tore after a year (I have had previous iterations for SEVERAL years without this happening). The same is true for the edging around the top of the rear of the shoe. It started shredding within a month or so. Finally, the sole has been changed and has barely any grip. They've removed a lot of the tread, and what is left is so shallow, it's almost useless on wet ground. As a long time buyer of these shoes, I am so disappointed. LL Bean products are made for fashion, not for tough outdoor use. It's a shame.

Love the look, love the fit, BUT - when I walk in wet grass - just from the morning dew on my morning walk (not even high grass, just up to my ankles), my feet (in the front and toe area) are completely soaked after about 5 minutes of walking. Disappointed because I specifically bought these shoes as an alternative to sneakers when I walk my dogs in the morning to keep my feet dry. It is not as if I am walking in the pouring rain or walking through streams or mud puddles - this is just wet grass - so these aren't even 'water resistant'...

Opening way too narrow. Need two hands to pull them on with effort. Also, heel is loose. My heel pulled up when I walked.

Returned! Too hard to get on and the heel slipped a great deal when walking.

I liked the design of this shoe, but the top was very tight. Since I ordered them in the hopes of having easy off & on shoe for rainy dog walks this did not provide that ease. The shoe it's self fit fine so ordering a larger size just to get a bigger opening did not seem like a good idea.

The quality was good, however, the shoes seemed to be two different sizes. The left shoe fit perfectly, but the right shoe was too big. The heel of my foot came right out of the shoe with every step. I even checked the size on each shoe thinking that maybe someone mixed two sizes in one box, but they were the same size. I had to return them. I was really disappointed because I liked them

My feet hurt trying to get them on. I ordered my regular size but the opening is way too small.

Nice slip-on but the heel slipped on and off; ordered two sizes to hopefully get a good fit but it did the same thing in both. My sister tried them on and it did the same thing on her. I've never had trouble with that. Sad as I really like the boot!

These shoes run large and would be betternamed Slip Off. I returned a pair in my regular size for size down and still had to add an insert to keep them from slipping. They are effective as waterproof footwear and are okay for short walks but are not comfortable enough to wear for long treks. I am keeping them, but would not purchase again.

I had to return these shoes. I've owned 2 previous pairs of Storm Chasers and loved them. This third pair has an oval opening instead of fitting snugly around the ankle as the previous two pairs did. That plus a wider heel made them loose on my feet. And the too large oval opening would allow rain and snow to enter the interior of the shoe.

I really wanted these Storm Chaser shoes and read reviews prior to my trip to Freeport. The sales person rushed me and made me feel bad for wanting to try another size, so I went with the 9.5 (with thick socks) I live in Florida. These are VERY heavy shoes and run BIG. I wore thick socks and they still were roomy. But the big thing is how heavy they are and no grip. I ended up mailing them back last week. Great quality of product.

I am a petite 5' 3" grandmother with big feet so shoes feel too heavy. Shoes were just a little tight overall, but the lower part of the shoes are hard synthetic material that I didn't think would stretch, so I didn't try to wear them. around the house. The opening is small with very tight binding, so it was a struggle to force my feet into the shoes. They are sturdy, well-made and attractive. Too bad not right for me.

I got a pair of these last Christmas (2019) and loved them! They were so easy and comfortable to slip on in the bad MA winter weather and I also used them this spring in my garden. After a little over a year they cracked so now they are not water proof and dirt gets in. Really bummed-I wanted these to last for many, many years. And it's been over a year so I can't return them. I'll try some duct tape and see if I can get them through the season.

Great looking shoe, perfect for dogwalking, but there are no socks thick enough to make the difference on size. I wear a 10.5 (women's) in most shoes, but without half sizes I ordered up, and it turns out the 11 in this shoe is too huge.

I really wanted to like these shoes. The style and craftmanship were excellent. However, when I put them on they slipped in the back with every step, although the size and width were good. I thought I would get used to the slipping after awhile, so I kept them. However, after about two weeks of wear, I couldn't get used to it, and I started to develop muscle aches from compensating for the slippage while I walked. Therefore, I decided to return them.

They are very difficult to 'slip' on and are too big.

I tried different socks and added insole to no avail. As I walked they were so stiff that the heel would slip up and down. I was bummed!
