I wish LL Bean would bring back Bethel shoes. They were sturdy but comfy, with a zipper vs this product which is a slip-on. These are waterproof and probably would last a very long time, but they're not at all flexible so they're not as comfortable as the Bethel style. Just be aware and try out the shoes right away. LL Bean's return policy is very fair.

I love the shoe , once I get them on, but for something that is advertised as Slip On , I can't get them on without a shoe horn and I didn't think I was old enough to own a shoe horn. They are a great shoe but I find them difficult to get on and it's disappointing because I don't wear them as often I would otherwise

I bought this boot to go back and forth to work- Ordering my normal size. But, I did not realize they run big. I needed to send them back to get a half size smaller.

Way big--so big i was tripping. Fortunately they are pretty unisex in style and fit son in law. I didnt want to bother to return. I would say most people would go down a half size from a regular shoe and they seemed wide also.

I got these in BLACK , size 7.5. My shoe size is 7.5. These were longer than my storm chasers from last year that are a size 8! (Yes, the 8's from last year we're always a little big, but good for thick socks).These new black storm chasers are longer than those size 8's , and really narrow, and I have an average width foot. I returned these.

Had to return my size 10's .... front part of the boot fit well, but my whole heel came out of the boot when I took a step. Nothing comes in a narrow width anymore.

I got a pair last Christmas and absolutely loved them. Seemed to run a little big but perfect for thicker socks and didn't slip at all. Perfectly comfortable and perfectly waterproof. Tragically, I lost one out my truck door sometime last week. I'm heartbroken. I came here to replace them and I'm disappointed to see they've changed the style a bit. I don't like the new soles at all, and are they cut a little lower now? Not sure what I'm going to do.

I normally take a size 7 shoe. Every time I buy shoes, sneakers or boots from LL Bean I find I have to order a size 7 1/2. I ordered a size 7 1/2 in this shoe and it was way too tight across the top of my foot. This is not the first pair of size 7 1/2 of shoes I've had to return. The Mocs also seem to have the same problem. Right at the opening of the shoe, where your foot slips in, is incredibly tight. Too tight to think they would stretch enough to make the shoe comfortable to wear. I returned this 7 1/2 for a size 8. The left shoe felt comfortable, the right shoe not so much. I intend to get a shoe tree to try to stretch out the tiny area that goes over the top of my foot. Hopefully this will help. If I try to go up another 1/2 size I'll be swimming in the shoe. It's disappointing because they look great and appear to be very well made.

I rated this shoe 3 stars ONLY because of the unreliable sizing. I wear a 9 med and every shoe I have ever ordered fit. I first ordered true to size despite reading reviews about sizing issues and true to reviews the shoe was way to big. Width ok, but I could put two fingers wide in the heel of shoe with wool socks on. I traded the 9 for an 81/2 med. Just got them today. I do like the shoe, but even these slip some on my heel. I have tried with heel supports inside. I am still trying to decide if I keep them. I know an 8 would be too small. Very disappointed that wherever these shoes are being made, the sizing is way off.

I usually wear a size 10. They were huge. I live in Maine and drove to the Freeport store. I returned the shoes. Another size 9 was mailed to me. They fit fairly well. But your sizes are way off.

Lady's foot size six. Full size to big. Had to return. Same as other reviews.

Initially purchased size 7M as I always do with Bean boots and shoes. They were too big and heel slips. Returned them for a size 6.5M. Again, too big and heel slips. Returned for size 6M and again too big and heel still slips. Definitely something not right with the sizing. Unfortunately they don't off size 5.5M. Will just have to return them. They look like they are built well though.

Well made boot, I wanted these to be my go to for winter hiking, but my heels keep slipping resulting in blisters. I originally ordered my typical size 7 which were way too big, then reordered 6.5, too big, then 6, even this size my heels slip. Wouldn't recommend, the shape needs to be corrected for basic comfort and practical use.

I really wanted to like these shoes but they just did not fit my foot correctly. I have very small heels so when I tried to wear these my heel kept coming out of the shoe. I tried to add heel inserts but there was still too much space around the back of my heel. If the shoe was more flexible it might have worked but with a stiff shoe you need the shoe to fit more snug to the foot. I thought about trying a smaller size but I do not think they would would have worked in the toe area so I returned these.

I liked the style and quality of the storm chaser, but the sizing is way off base. One size too large. Had to return them and wait for backorder.

Like other reviewers, I really wanted this shoe to fit. I always wear a size 9, but this shoe made me feel like I was walking around in my husband's shoes: so much room inside. They were a little wide, but I actually did not mind that because I expect to wear thicker socks with this type of shoe. But my heel kept lifting up and felt like it would come out of the shoe. The opening fit around my foot nicely which kept my foot in, but there was too much heel room. So, I ordered an 8 1/2 thinking it would fit perfectly. With thin socks, the 8 1/2 was a little snug to get on. And, although the width was perfect for me, my toes slightly touched the tip of the shoe. Now, if only they made this in an 8 3/4. It's a perfect concept of a shoe, but, unfortunately, the size hasn't been perfected yet.

We have purchased 5 or 6 pairs of Storm Chaser slip on's over the past few years and size 7 1/2 has always fit perfectly. For some reason, they are about 1/2 size too large this year. I went to try and order a 7 but now they are backordered for 3 months. I see other reviews around size, some too large and others too small. The product itself is very nice but the variability in manufacturing concerns me. Will return the shoes and can't wait until February for the backorder, so will find something elsewhere.

I really wanted these to work. Bought the 91/2 and even with semi-heavy socks they were swimming on my feet. Sent them back for the 9's and they still do not fit properly. Unfortunately for me, I will be sending them back. Very disappointed since I really need a shoe like this for the dog and the yard.

It's a beautiful boot, perfect for winter. Unfortunately the top has no give so I cannot even get it on. If it had a side zipper it would work but t doesn't. I'll give to my sister, it might fit her 8 foot.

I ordered my normal size and could not get them on. Returned and didn't re-order. They look well made.

I liked the blue color and the design seemed appealing. I was looking for an easy boot to wear around city in rain, that was classic and stylish. My usual size is 7.5, but I ordered size 7 based on the reviews. The front fit fine, a bit rigid but I expected that given I have the LL Bean lace up boots and those are stiff too. However, the real dealbreaker for me was that the heel slips off when I walk them! Sadly this will be a return.

Even with midweight socks, my foot wobbled around in these shoes. Returning which is dsappointing because I could really use a no-nonense wet weather shoe.

Runs super wide. Have sent back twice and waiting on 3td pair to arrive. Seem very comfortable but way large. Wish they offered in A widths, even though my normal width is a B, these are extra wide. Order down 1 full size if not 1 1/2 sizes
