The quality was here in this shoe, however, the fit is all off. I've bought a size 11 in every bean boot, moc, and slipper and they've been perfect. The short bean boot slip on runs large but I was told that beforehand so I went down to a 10.00. This storm Chaser (my 4th pair in 60 years) is two sizes too large in the foot, but it's much higher and tighter on the sides around the ankle, so it's not "a slip on" it's more of "I need a shoe horn" to get this on my foot and then it slides all around when you try to walk. I would strongly suggest going down a size, but I don't know if you'll be able to get your foot in. It's just very strange and totally different from the last Storm Chasers. The old style was truly a slip on. I didn't even bend over. This new model is a sit down, use a shoe horn, and struggle kind of shoe. This is yet another change that LLBean has made and NOT for the better. I don't know if I'll continue to order from Bean because I'm not sure anymore what I'll receive.

Sizing was off for me. The boot was too large and the replacement is still slightly large. The boots are stiff and tend to slip off my heels when I walk. I'm hoping with time they will flex more. They are also not very comfortable for me which is disappointing since LL Bean merchandise is usually very good. This is why I rated the boots a three. I may eventually need to return them if with time they continue to slip on my feet.

They fit my needs nicely....although if there is a lot of moisture I can see problems with water entering the shoe

All, just a quick note on the Chaser.. Great look, great fit however, they get very, very uncomfortable as the day goes on. I am thinking of returning them just because they are not comfortable.

I liked the look and feel of this shoe but had to return it. The shoe was too loose to stay on my heel. Each step I took, my foot slid up out of the shoe.

I bought these shoes at our local retailer here in Kansas. I was excited to have a shoe that would stay dry during our winters. I normally wear an 8 wide, which is a task to find. These do not come in wide. When I tried them on, they fit in the toe box, which is why I said they have a wide fit. After wearing them for a couple of days I noticed that the snugness across the bridge of my foot hurt, again, a wide shoe would account for this. Going up a 1/2 size might fix this problem, but then they will be too long. Sadly, I will be returning these. They are a beautiful, practical, and comfortable shoe for the most part.

I so wanted to love these slip-ons, for the convenience of going outside for only a few minutes (dog, mail) in poor weather. Unfortunately, the previous reviews of heel slipage are entirely correct! I normally wear a 9 1/2 or 10 athletic type shoe, so I decided to order the 9 1/2. It was perfect in the roominess of the toe box, but my heel wouldn't stay in, even with heavy hiking socks! Back they went. I'm going to try a 9, because the men's shoe of this type gets bad reviews of how narrow they are (odd in a men's shoe) and I just can't "do" narrow.

Great idea on these shoes. I find the bottoms too heavy and so they don't fit tight on my foot and it feels like I have to drag them along. I had to return them.

I love these shoes. Unfortunately, they are wide in the heel and slip off my foot as I walk despite trying a sole insert and heel cushion. I had to return them. Very sad about it because they are a great looking and functioning shoe.

This shoe boot was nice and fit good until I walked around and my heels came out every time I took a step. I returned them.

I tried on 3 separate pairs of the Women's Storm Chaser Slip-Ons in the toasted coconut brown color. Each time there was something irregular about one of the shoes. Two pair, the right shoe was bigger than the left. One pair, felt uneven in the shoe. The sole of the left shoe was not flat, it felt like there was a bent . It was not natural fitting. I tried a a black pair and it finally fitted. There was no shoe that felt bigger than the other. I had to settle for a black, a color that I really did not want. I wanted the toasted coconut brown color. What else could I do after trying on 3 different pairs at three different LL Bean in my area? Each store only had one size 6 to try on. I was disappointed that there was not another pair to try on. I had to return the shoe each time to 'buy' the next pair. I bought the first pair with my LL Bean gift card and a 15% discount. But 10 months later, the price of the shoe went up $10.00. The second pair would have costed be another $10.00 but fortunately, the manager gave me the original price I bought the shoe for. It was getting to be too much of a hassle to return and buy especially with a price difference. So, I settled for a different color but I really wanted the toasted coconut brown color.

Good fit and a cute color for a gum shoe but though I sized down there was too much slop in the heel to comfortably wear for any length of time.

It is tough to slip on and remove because the collar is very snug. I have a high instep which doesn't help.

The shoes are waterproof but the fit is loose and sloppy. Rain gets in from around the opening of the shoe. The loose fit does not make it a great walking shoe. Wish I had returned them.

I ordered these to replace all-leather, hiking shoes, I'd totally worn out, tired of wet feet at the dog park each morning. Size 8, which I usually wear in athletic shoes, were way too big. The 7-1/2's are okay with an added insole. They still slip a little and are heavy - fit more like a winter boot than a supportive shoe, but they keep my feet dry and don't pick up a lot of mud in the tread. I do like the slip-on.

Really sturdy. Warm. Dry. Size runs large. I ordered a half size smaller, and they're still too big.

I would absolutely love these shoes except for my heels slipping with each step. I actually returned my first pair and exchanged them for a half size smaller but these are slipping too even with double heel pads. Very disappointing.

I really like the feel and look of this shoe once I get it on. I also purchased a pair of men's for my husband and I like his better. These are a little hard to get on since the leather does not give and it feels like the "neck" is tight since cuff around it goes so high up. On the men's pair there is a little "V" shape cut out making it easier for on and off. Wish I could get that in my size.
True to size.

Great Shoe - Sizing Hard to Know. Costs to much in shipping to find to find right fit when other vendors allow free shipping and returns. LLB used to allow you to submit an outline of your foot - maybe they should consider that again. Will not be purchasing shoes from them in future sadly.

The Storm chaser shoe was very wide and bulky. It fit more like a men's shoe. I had to return it.

This show was way too wide and way too long. I ordered my normal size and wore with socks, but they just didn't work. Returned.

Been buying these for years, they only last about a year before they start to leak, And they have changed the sole, it's horrible, really slippery on pavement now. Please go back to the old soles!

I have bought probably 8 pair of storm chasers throughout the years. They are great for morning chores on my horse farm. This last pair I bought in March 2020 and these were re-designed. I miss the higher cut design. These also feel "roomier" than before but not in a good way. Also, it seems that every pair I buy, they begin to leak. This pair is no exception. Of course I'm right outside the year mark. I love these shoes, I miss the old design. I will purchase again but just disappointed that they continually spring leaks. I do wear them everyday for about 2 hours.

I have purchased from LLBean for over 50 years and have never been disappointed in a product. I tried two different sizes, a 9 which I normally wear, and an 8.5. The 8.5 fit in the length, however it was too loose in the heel, even with medium weight socks. What a disappointment, so I'm sending this pair back. I read a number of reviews that brought up the same point. With a better fit, I'd try another pair.
