I have been wanting these for a couple of years...worth the wait! Comfy and cozy in the cool rainy weather here in Alabama. Look forward to testing them out in Ireland. Double thumbs up!

I love these shoes. My only problem with them after reading the reviews, is that they are a tad bit big. My foot size across all shoes range from sizes 5.5 to 6.5. I ordered a size six and the shoes are a bit loose, however with thicker socks they fit just fine. I do recommend going a size or half a size down with ordering these shoes. The quality is outstanding and you can really tell love was put into making these shoes.

I have been going back and forth on buying these for over a year now - I already have the shearling lined ones, so was having a hard time justifying a second pair.. until i started daily hikes with my dogs. Our trail starts off through a field (which is often wet at 6am) after dealing with multiple pairs of sneakers in various stages of wet-damp i had enough! Enter: these bean boots. they have been everything i wanted and more!! Right out of the box they have a soft and broken in feel. They keep my feet dry, and comfortable (i have worn them in 70-35 degree weather) not too hot and not too cold.
Since this is my second pair, sizing was easy - i am usually 7-7.5 and a BeanBoot 6 fits me well.
I love love love my new boots, and am so happy i finally broke down and bought them (even if i got a 25% off email the next day!). Do yourself a favor, stop thinking and buy - before they're back-ordered!!

These boots are so comfortable. Very easy to put on, and the soft leather means no blisters.
I'm normally size 7.5/8, but after reading reviews I ordered these in size 7. They're a perfect fit!

I normally wear a 6.5 and for some reason I ordered an 8. I can lace them down pretty tightly and I generally wear several pairs of socks with them so it's not too detrimental. I love breaking these out, they're warm and the flannel is great.

I originally owned a 23 year old pair of basic Bean boots. These are such an upgrade! They are comfortable and broken in right out of the box. The leather is divine.
LL Bean, I love ya, but your sizing advice is a little wrong on these. I wear a size 10 in everything (sneakers, boots, running shoes) but the dressiest dress shoes (9 1/2). I also have a wide foot. I ordered a size 9 based on customer reviews, and crossed my fingers that they would fit. Customer reviews are correct! They fit well with thin and thick socks, and by thick I mean old style wool ragg socks. So, I would follow the advice to order a size down.
And yes, they are wicked awesome!

I was a little worried about the sizing, after reading all of the reviews. The advice to 'go down a size' was spot-on. I usually wear an 8/8.5 - have wide feet.
The size 7 just arrived and fit perfectly! I tried them on wearing both thin then thick socks, fit fine both ways. The size 8 would've been way too big.
Love them!! The soft tumbled leather feels wonderful.
These will work out great for messy New England winter weather.

I originally tried to order these last year when they came out, however they were back ordered and eventually went completely out of stock. I had been checking the website daily since early September, and when I saw that they were finally back in stock I ordered them. I followed the size guidelines and ordered a size 7 (I usually wear a 7.5 or 8), and they fit perfectly with medium-weight socks! This is my second pair of Bean Boots and I love them just as much as my other ones! I can't wait to wear them throughout fall, winter, and spring.

I just got these boots. Second pair of LL Bean boots I have purchased and the best ever! I give them a 5 star rating because I put on my winter socks (cold today), put the boots on with no trouble whatsoever. They are not stiff, so comfortable and true to size. I am inside but I don't want to take them off! Don't usually like tie up boots because they come undone, but not these. Laces stay tied. Can't wait for winter now. Going to order a pair for my daughter for Christmas right now!

I followed the fit instructions on these boots and I believe they do run big as other readers suggest. I ordered a size 8, which is my normal size. Although they weren't huge, they felt sloppy. I had a good thumb and a quarter on the toe area with a mid weight sock and there was so much room on top of the foot I had to pull the laces tight to accommodate. I am sending them back for the 7. LLB recommends 1 thumb from toe and a heavyweight sock for best fit and breath-ability, which I understand. But it just feels too loose on and if anything, they will stretch out. My 8's came right away, and the 7's are back ordered. Probably an indication that I am not the only one having the size problem. Hoping the 7 will fit!

I've been on the fence about buying Bean boots for a few years. When I saw he flannel lining and soft leather, I decided to take the plunge. I'm so glad I did because these boots are better than I ever imagined. So comfortable right out of the box. I agree with other reviewers about the sizing. I'm a 7.5 in sneakers/ boots, 7 in dress shoes/flats, and I ordered a 6. They looked small when I took them out of the box, but they fit perfectly with all weights of socks. LOVE these boots!!

Have I said how much I love these boots? The leather is soft, the flannel is classic and cozy, and the boots are oh-so-comfortable. These boots make me wish it was winter year round; I don't want to take them off!
I typically wear a size 8, and ordered a 7 in these; They fit perfectly.
& When I ordered them they were back ordered for 3 months, but they arrived in 2 weeks!

I'm am 8.5 in other shoes with wide toes. I initially ordered the regular unlined 8 inch in a 7. Too small, not because of width but length. My toes hit the end of the boot. So I then ordered an 8. They were huge! Got these in a 7 and it's just right. That said, I think they run slightly bigger than the regular unlined boot. The leather is also much softer (pebbled) and the tongue isn't attached so they are easier to get on. These already feel broken in whereas the unlined was extremely stiff with attached tongue and different leather. The flannel is an adorable touch and they instantly warmed my feet.

I wear my boots primarily commuting in Boston, which means I encounter rain, snow, ice, and puddles daily from December until...May? I walk a mile each way, and these boots are warm and amazingly comfortable given the protection they provide. The tumbled leather uppers meant these boots were soft from day one, no blisters or breaking in the leather. The flannel lining makes them warmer, with the added benefit of being really cute. The foot bed provides enough stability and cushion for walking. I am so very glad I managed to get a pair of these boots.
As for sizing, I am usually a size 7 or 71/2 in dress shoes and boots, an 8 in flats. I ordered a 7, which is sometimes a tiny bit big if I'm wearing thin dress socks. When I wear mid-weight socks or heavier, they're perfect.

I ordered these the minute they were available. As many of you know- they are a cult following. This is my 3rd pair of bean boots/shoes. Those that own bean boots know - order a size down. Love love love the tumbled leather. Shout out to my boot maker MaryJo! Great boots! Thank you!

I ordered these boots in November and they finally arrived last week. After wearing them a few days in a row, I can say they were definitely worth the wait! I wear a 6.5 wide, sometimes a 7 in shoes/boots and was worried that my toes wouldn't have a lot of room. I sized down, ordered a 6, and they fit perfectly. Even with the thicker LL Bean camp socks, there's just the right amount of room in the toe box. They're also versatile enough to wear in the winter, spring, and fall months here in New England. Highly recommend!

I purchased these boots in October when they were first released. They are great. I wear a size 9 woman's, I purchased a size 8. They run big. They are so comfortable, this past weekend we went to NYC. We walked 12 miles in a day and a 1/2. They were great with a normal pair of socks. The first day it poured, my feet were dry and comfortable. Love em!

In the normal bean boots I wear a 6 wide, I am usually a 7.5 in women's shoes but the 6 is perfect in bean boots (I wear light socks with these). I was nervous about it being too narrow and honestly if you're a wide in the normal bean boot this is just enough width for you. I love it so much. The tumbled leather makes it so easy to put on and they are already my favorite pair. I've had normal bean boots for 5 years and this pair just blew it out of the park. I really hope they continue to make these because they are AMAZING and I want to have more pairs for the future (I know these will last long but they're just so good you can never go wrong with more than one)

Let me start by saying I wear a 9.5 narrow and was super stressed about sizing. I ended up ordering a 9 and it's perfect. I can leave them tied and slip my foot in and I have room for shearling insoles to make them a bit warmer. I think for sure an 8 would have been too small...but an 8.5 (if it existed) may have been perfect. They are beautifully made and the leather is super soft.

The size 6 is still a little bit big for my 6.5 feet but I can't even imagine what it would be like for a size 6 foot. My foot swims in this with a very light sock so I'll probably need to wear thicker socks. The boot is lovely and warm!

These boots are amazingly comfortable and very lightweight. The height is high enough to keep out snow/slush but low enough to make them comfortable. The tumbled leather is much softer and more attractive compared to the stiff, smooth leather of other Bean Boots.
However, be careful with sizing. All Bean boots are known to run a full size large even while wearing thick socks, however for some reason the description on these boots tells you to order your regular size. Don't! Order one size down. I am a classic size 10, and the size 9 gives me plenty of room even with thick wool socks.

I debated for weeks on which boots to order. I finally picked these and I am I love! I ordered my regular size (10) and they are just a tad too big. With thicker socks they will be perfect. I wore them to work (lots of standing and walking) and at the end of the day they still felt great!

After a few trial and error purchases, I finally got these boots and they fit perfectly. I live in Southern California but travel a lot to much cooler climates and didn't have a boot that I felt kept my feet warm from heavy snow and rain. I initially bought the shearling lined boots but returned for these so I could wear them here whenever it rains. Side note: The shearling boots are EXTREMELY warm so if you live in really cold climates, it is perfect. Now sizing, I am an 8.5 with a slightly narrow foot and per the sizing guide, ordered an 8 which was wayyyy too big even with thick camp socks. So I returned for a 7 and these fit perfectly with thick socks. At first I thought it was a bit snug but after walking around my house for about 20 min, they felt perfectly comfortable, cozy and warm! I look forward to wearing these beauties in the snow and heavy rain elements. The softness of the leather is perfect and the flannel lining is cute and warm. It doesn't extend through the footbed but I wasn't expecting that anyway. Hope this helps for sizing !

These boots are gorgeous. A few things to note: The flannel lining is just in the shaft of the boot, so its decoration only - don't expect any added warmth. As for sizing - I followed the suggestions on this boot's page that said to order your normal size. I normally wear a 10 so I ordered a 10. With the LL bean rag camp socks there is atleast 1/2" of room in the length still. I added shearling insoles and the fit is a bit more snug. I do like my shoes a little big though. I'd say IGNORE the sizing suggestions and order a size down unless you like your shoes roomy AND are going to add a shearling insole. If these weren't backordered I'd probably still send them in for an exchange for a size 9.

These boots are everything I hoped they would be! I actually think the size is perfect, I go between a 7-7.5 normally the length of my foot is a 7 but I have wider feet so sometimes 7.5 is more comfortable. I ordered the 7 in these. I expect that boots would have a bit of room for a medium to thick sock, and these definitely do. The leather is beautiful and I think these are worth every penny.
