Really nice boots. A little stiff & a little bulky, but a good purchase overall.

The boots are wide enough, had to buy a 1/2 size up, the soul does not seem to have as much cushion as my low top Keens seem to have.

They looked great: style, color, padding, lacing, you name it. The tread looked promising and the footbed felt properly supportive. But they didn't feel right. I finally realized they were just too narrow. (I could have figured it out faster if I had simply removed the insole and stepped on it.) Since shoe store foot measurement devices always show me as an 8M, I didn't want to keep gambling on sizing and reluctantly returned them.

I loved everything about these boots except there isn't enough room in the toe box, even while wearing thin socks, so sadly I had to return them. My toes were too scrunched. Otherwise comfortable and supportive.

Have loved all my bean boots over the years. Bought this pair for our trip to hike some national parks. Overall, it is a strong and sturdy pair of boots.
Light in weight, heavy in protection.
Neither cute nor beautiful. Not bad looking either.
My feet stayer 100% dry while hiking the Fern Canyon in Redwoods with 4-5 inches of water. Most others got their feet soaked.
The sole is very comfortable.
It wipes clean easily.
One star off for the rather tough high ankle scaffolding. It feels as if someone is gripping your ankles. It didn't bite, but has a strange, disturbing sensation.

After endless waiting for a backorder of an expensive brand name pair of boots, I decided to give these a try.Went to Turkey Run State Park in Marshall, IN on my inaugural hike on a moderately difficult trail. These were comfortable, and no blisters!(I'm very prone to them) They also performed well when I stepped in some very muddy and inclined areas. I didn't slip, slide, or fall. Can't wait to wear them again soon!

It's a good looking hiking boot. I've gone hiking twice, for about an hour and a half each time, and had to cross 3 creeks. The boots are definitely water proof, no issues there at all. On the first hike though, I got blisters on both legs on the fibula, the bone that lead to the ankles. The collar was much too stiff and high for me. On the second hike, I covered that area of the bone with mole skin. No blisters. You may not get the same problem I had because I have very narrow ankles, but it seems these boots are higher than the usual model hikers I have worn for the last 5 years and much stiffer. I plan on softening up the collar of the boots as much as I can.

Runs small, needed to order next size up. Definitely needs to be broken in, area around back of ankle is very stiff.

Comfortable. True to size. It's been awhile since I worn higher shoes. So I don't tie all the way to the top. But I wanted a higher shoe to protect my ankles.

Too early to tell. Toe box too narrow for my foot that has a corn. Hope to wear it in and stretch out a little. Shoe is good construction.

They were sort of stiff and uncomfortable when I got them but seem to be breaking in nicely. Fit was perfect.

PROS-Great with waterproofing. You definitely feel the ankle support. Superior treading with the shoe footprint. I like the traction. The color is very nice. The laces look durable and will last. CONS- Limited arch support. The shoe is very stiff and will need to be broken in. They feel clunky. They are a little snug in the toe area even with a wide shoe purchase.

I have had these boots for 2 months and wear them based on tempt. These boots are not for hot weather. The break in for these boots seem a bit longer and still feel stiff. I use these for all around activities including working outside. They have held up well keeping my feet dry working in dewy or rainy conditions. Other then being stiff, they are very comfortable. The fit was perfect. I put additional arch support in and still had plenty of room, just tighten the laces accordingly. They seem like they will last a long time and these are worth the money.

The boots are very comfortable. However I have had problem with the round laces getting them tied and keeping them tied. I've double tied and they still work loose.

Like many others, I found the cuffs to be hard to break in, but comfortable after a couple weeks. Could use more arch support. Really like the green and mahogany colors.

Really wanted these in the Green, however take any opportunity to purchase Wide Shoes for Women that do not look like my Grandmother would wear. Several foot surgeries have made it difficult to find shoes that fit. (Both Feet)
Still have severe pain upon walking, yet it beats giving up & giving in.... and these are constructed well enough to provide needed support.
Will continue to check back for other color!

Great to find lightweight boots that claim to be are waterproof! I often struggle to find shoes that are wide and deep enough to accommodate my orthotic insoles. Thank you, L.L. Bean for finally offering wide widths, and removable insoles to accommodate orthotics! However, after wearing these boots around the house for several days, I went on a 3 mile walk. My toes must have been rubbed or cramped by the shoes because I got bruises under the toenails on both feet. Since I wore them outdoors, I don't know if I can exchange them for 8-1/2s now (and this is during the COVID-19 social isolation period.) I will try them WITH the original insoles under my orthotics.

Just moved to Tennessee where hiking is not flat and I was looking for more support for my ankles. These boots were the answer. Plus the soles have great tread for going downhill.

I need a wide width due to a foot injury. The width was fine but the design of the boot had a strip of leather and stitching right over my bunion area that was very uncomfortable. I had to return them. The boots are of great quality and I would recommend them to others, they just didn't work for me.

Ordered half size up, as I usually need, to accommodate bunion, arthritic toe, and orthotics, (oh my)! Toe box perfectly roomyno rubbing. From other reviews I expected toe area would need breaking in, but no, for me the right boot where it sits against my ankle was uncomfortably stiff. Broke in after wearing on walks for a few weeks. Like roominess, sturdiness, and affordability.
