I've had these shoes for less than a year and although very well made, they do not stand up to more than 10 minutes walking in wet grass. Photo clearly shows the leakage onto my socks after a dog walk.

I could barely get my foot in these. They are super stiff and not wide at all. I even ordered up a 1/2 size but no way can I wear these, had to send them back.

I was surprisingly disappointed in these shoes. I went hiking in them and they really cut the back of my ankles. As soon as we got back to the car, I had to take them off. My ankles were so swollen afterwards. They actually fit just fine and I wore thick socks, but somehow the back of the shoes just would not let up. I've bought a bunch of stuff from LL Bean and this might be the worst of my purchases.

I hate these shoes. I tried breaking them in but they stay stiff. Too late to return them. Wast of a lot of money.

These were not comfortable and hit my feet in the wrong places. Recommend trying on before purchasing rather than online purchase.

I've hardly worn yet. I bought socks from you, and when I recieve them, the perfect socks,
I assure you I'll be wearing them, and I'll write a review.

These shoes had an awkward fit, but I thought that somehow I could break them in or find some combination of socks or insoles that would work. They have pure, very well-made with an excellent sole.
I have finally given up in frustration. I ordered a 7W. I wear a 7W Cresta hiker boot, a street shoe without socks that's usually 6 1/2 wide. These boots are too narrow, too wide, and do not have enough vertical space in the shoe for my foot to feel comfortable. The final straw was this week when I was trying to do a short walk, I had to turn around in less than 1 mile because a blister was starting to form on the bottom of my left foot due to the bad fit of this shoe. I give up and it is going back.

The fabric is so thick and puffy and the tongue way too long, why does it need to go over an inch up the ankle. Didn't like it at all. Just returned it.

Love the styling. A nice departure from the typical gaudy pinks and blues available in women's athletic shoes. However, the fit is terrible. I'm an avid hiker, yet these shoes give me shin splints. If the trek is longer than 1 mile, I do not wear these shoes. Unfortunate.

Would love to be able to tell you about this shoe. The first time I ordered it. LL Bean sent me a light blue T shirt. Yes, that's right a T shirt. I called them, they were really sorry. They told me they would send me my pair of shoes, they did BUT -----WRONG SIZE. Again, they were really, really sorry. Oh, they said, but we COULD send you the right size. REALLY??????
Their incompetence spoke volumes!!!! No more shoes from LLBean.

I bought these two weeks ago and wore them on a few walks hoping I could get used to them. However, the cuff around the ankle is extremely hard and stiff and digs into my ankle bone to the point where it is painful. I wish I had paid more attention to some of the reviews that mentioned this problem. Probably have worn them too much to return.

These looked good and seemed like good materials but the fit really wasn't good enough. I need a 7.5WW, which isn't offered, so I tried an 8 W. They let my heel slide too much and still squeezed my toes too much. I would have tried to wear them anyway but the tops of the boots also curved in and bruised my ankles. I was afraid I'd get achilles tendon issues on top of sore toes, so I returned them. LLBean, please make wider wides for women, or make men's wides down to at least 7W. I don't care if the boots are intended for men or women as long as they don't cause pain.

Bought a wide shoe and it wasn't. I also can't stand how stiff and uncomfortable they are. More like a man's work boot

If like to be able to give a rave review but these shoes were terribly uncomfortable. They didn't bend and caused sores on my feet in just 20 minutes and I still had a few miles to go to get home!

These "wide" hiking shoes were really tight! I very purposely chose these, but so many manufacturers seem to think that women have really narrow feet and a tiny footbed. I was so hopeful when I thought that these would be comfortable like the storm chasers that I purchased some time ago. Not so much. So I can't rate their waterproof-ness which I was really looking for.
