I will keep these boots as they are good quality-I just ordered wide as I wear a C width and thought D would br fine. I need to wear a thick sock to keep foot from slipping around.

Easy to break in and comfortable from the start.

The fit was good, I didn't think they were as supportive as I would have liked, but was willing to use an insert, but the deal-breaker for me was the high back, which hurt my Achilles tendon immediately. This is a common problem that I have with hiking-type shoes, so I would still recommend the shoe; it just wasn't for me.

Although providing great support, they are quite stiff. The heal caused blisters to my heals at back of my ankles. The previous sneakers wore out in that same area before the rest of the shoe wore down.

I bought these to wear in the wet grass while walking my dog. It keeps my feet dry. I use my own orthotics. Shoe is comfortable enough. Let's hope the keep-feet-dry feature lasts longer with this technology than it did with the Gore-Tex sneakers I have bought in the past. I've had these shoes for two months now.

I wish I could have another pair for weekend hikes too. I wear these every day for work doing landscaping. They are tough and well made. I like that they support all the right spots when you tie them up. Waterproof yes. This is my second pair.

I have bone spurs and these shoes have been the best for my feet; I have three pairs of the hikers and one pair of the boots. I would love to see them in black and maybe a dark blue.

As just a few other reviewers found, both shoes rubbed my inside & outside "ankle bones." These shoes were stiffer than my previous hiking shoes (from LLBean, but different item); these may have loosened up in time if I could've worn them long enough. I've returned only a few items over the years, but, sadly, returned these.

I kept returning the sizes as I have a wide D foot, while my shoe size is 7. So 7.5 was too tight w/medium sock so I returned for an 8. While 8 was wide enough, length was too long and my foot would not stay in. So I may return. But quality was excellent and shoe appeared well made, sturdy and w/excellent quality materials. It's tough to be a short girl with a wide foot!

I bought these for my daughter sight unseen. I purchased them because they were waterproof, hiking shoes rather than boots and seemed a little more suited to her needs. I also liked that they came in wide sizes, as my daughter's size seems to vary by 1/2 size, depending on the manufacturer and the width. After she received them, she noted (as have others) that they seemed generally comfortable, but were tight in a few areas. She was going to try them with a lighter pair of socks and was considering at least traveling to a store to try another size. It might be important to try them and wear them around the house for a bit to make sure that they don't bind.

These are sturdy waterproof shoes that are very comfortable. At first wearing they seemed a bit clunky - but I soon got used to the feel of them. The sole is quite non-slip. I ordered two pairs in two different sizes - both wide - but kept the larger pair. I felt that I needed more room in the toe than my usual size offered. I am not a hiker. I bought these shoes to use as my "outdoor work" shoes in our large garden and orchard as well as doing chores on our wooded property. They seem perfect for that application - sturdy, waterproof, and good protection for my feet when pruning, planting, digging, mowing and so on. However, this winter with all of our ice, I have found that they work well there too.

I would definitely recommend these shoes as they are comfortable and, without yet having been in a total downpour, waterproof. However, purchase them and wear them at least a week prior to an extensive walking/hiking trip as they take some getting used to. In the first week, the shoes gave me blisters on the back of my feet, but those went away after a week (though I continued using band-aids in the affected areas just in case). My only real issue, funnily enough, is with the laces. They are have way too much wax on them so that they constantly come undone, to the point where I had to change them for a pair of ordinary laces off my old sneakers.

I had the original model of these boots and ordered these as a replacement. I loved them but, despite being the same size as my old boots, my toes were pressed against the boot toe box. I decided to opt for comfort and returned the boots for a 1/2 size larger. Great looking boots and I can't wait to get them in the larger size.

The size of the shoe is a little wide. A thick pair of socks and they will be fine. The shoe is stiff, but haven't put it to the test on a trail yet. Hoping they will loosen up with some time.

Appear that they will do the job well. We haven't had much wet weather since they arrived. The only thing that might be a problem for some women is that it comes up quite high around the ankle bone.

Perfect shoes for soggy conditions. I can hike or run in them, though they're pretty heavy. They don't let in ANY water unless some spills in over the tops. They're quite stiff, so be sure they're not pressing against a bone and causing pain. It would take a long time for them to break in and soften up. They come in both regular and wide widths. I ordered wide and they fit well. Great trail or town shoes in wet conditions!

I was mainly looking for a shoe that I could walk on our area trails which are not paved. The support is very important and this seems to have it. It is a little stiff and I hope it does not rub my foot in certain spots. Have not worn in rain so not sure how waterproof it is. I like the color.

These shoes were cute and seemed well made, had nice cushioning. I had to return them because of the fit, though. I wear a size 11 shoe, and I have this problem with a lot of brands. It seems that if your foot is a lot larger than average, manufacturers will just add more length to the toe box. Unfortunately, they don't move the arch support in proportion to your foot so the arch is too far back in the shoe. I really needed hiking shoes, so I ended up returning these and going with a brand that I've owned before that doesn't have this fit problem. I was sad to let them go because they were so cute.

I needed a bigger shoe that was wide in the toe area because of neuropathy. Ordered one-half size bigger in wide width and love it. The plum color is pretty and feminine and I am glad it is waterproof. This will be my "go to" shoe for hiking, trips and comfort wear.

Intended use is for touring Ireland so waterproof was smart. Good support but was hoping for a cushier inside that wouldn't take any breaking in.

I bought these shoes because I do dog agility training and competition, so wanted a good, supportive shoe that was also waterproof for the early morning dewy grass and outside weather. It is hard to find good shoes in a wide fit, but these fit great. They are sturdy, good-looking, and waterproof. My only complaint is they are a little heavy - would prefer a more lightweight shoe. But I am glad I found them, as other top brands I have tried just don't fit, and these do.

My first test walk with these shoes was on hard pavement so this may not be a completely accurate review. I found that the shoes were very supportive but not very flexible. Walking on hard pavement felt uncomfortable after a while. I noticed when I took the shoes off that there was a small bruise in the side of my heel. I didn't notice any particular rubbing but the stiffness probably contributed to this. I'll continue to test these shoes in different environments. I'm hoping that they will loosen up a bit over time because I really want a good pair of water-resistant shoes.
