Trail Model Hiker 4 Waterproof Low Women's - Size 9. I have a narrow foot, these fit great with a medium weight sock. They're very comfortable. Use for cold weather winter walking, for warmth and traction. Haven't had an opportunity to test waterproof ability yet. Reason for 4 star rating; as others have mentioned - the round shoe laces tend to come untied as you are walking.

I really loved the shoe but I have wide feet and the wide in these shoes felt like a normal width so I can't wear them

I am so disappointed this boot didn't fit! very nice looking and well made, but I ordered a d width and it was still too narrow for my feet.

Had a waterproof hiking shoe from llbean, liked it, this replacement works fine, a bit stiff & stifle (due to brand new?), price more than double though

I have bunions, so I ordered 8 wide instead of my regular 7 1/2 wide. I liked the bit of space on the toe that lets me wear thicker socks. I'm expecting to wear this shoes a lot this winter when snow and rain starts .

It seems that the waterproof shoes run smaller than regular shoes. I even went to the LL bean store to see if they could hep or maybe had a bigger size but there isn't one and the shoe tech even said that the waterproof shoes always seem to run smaller.
I love the color and don't want to return
But I could
Never wear thick socks or orthotics in them like I can your other shoes.
Please make larger women's shoes

Comfortable, walkable hiking shoes. Light and sturdy making them fine for day trail outings.

I bought there to replace my LL Bean Gortex hiking shoes which are no longer being made. I like having waterproof shoes but found these a bit stiff and heavy.

Very well made and overall comfortable shoe. Have been trying to find a good hiking shoe and I do need more 'spread' area in the toe width I guess. Had to return . . . the search goes on.

Really wanted to keep this shoe but after 3 4 mile hikes, my feet began hurting. Believe the reason to be the very rigid construction of the shoe. Reluctantly, returned it.

Aside for being narrow for a wide shoe, I really really like these hiking shoes. I plan to break them in slowly. Every time that I shop for shoes, I do look for tread. Good tread. I have confidence that these shoes will keep my feet under me. Love the red color

I find it interesting that we have the option of reviewing a product as "True to Size" when there is no such thing as a standard size anymore. I can wear anything from a 5 to a 7, no matter from which retailer I order, including LLBEAN. Gratefully, I was able to order these in a wide. I like them a lot. The right shoe became a little tight at the instep toward the end of a couple of 4 mile hikes, but not intolerable and I am optimistic they'll stretch enough eventually. I really like the ankle support and the soles. I hike over rough terrain and after 10 miles of hiking so far, I am happy with these shoes.

I've had them for a couple months now and use them for light to moderate hiking and walks around the neighborhood. They are a little stiff right around the ankle (reminds me of snow boots), but they have been fairly comfortable with good support. They're also pretty warm, which I appreciate immensely. No complaints.

Very comfortable and good waterproofing. I wear size 7.5 hiking shoes but these are too big. Will order a size 7 as I really like the shoes.

Very comfortable boot. Worn for maybe one year before I had to re-waterproof them. Walked probably an average of 2 miles a day/5 days a week. Now that they're 2.5 years old, the inside (especially near the heel/back of foot) is completely shot and the front top outside nylon has cracked almost all the way through. Thinking about ordering another pair since they lasted pretty long unless I decide to go with an over the ankle model.

very comfortable and fits well, my only issue was the shoe laces would not stay tied and they weren't long like others to make it easy to double tie.

This is the second time I've bought this shoe. I needed a second pair for working around my second home in the woods. I needed something sturdy, would keep my feet dry, have good traction, fit like a hiking shoe for the steep hillsides. It does all these things and is nice looking too! Only reason it does get 5 stars from me is that the left shoe on the inside presses against my ankle bone. It doesn't do that on the right, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of breaking in.

It's a good sturdy shoe. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the shoe is very stiff and does not soften with use.

I was very disappointed that the Wide was not wide enough. I have also noted that there are far fewer wide choices. For example, in the past, Beans has offered sneakers in wide sizes.

Ordered a 9 to begin, way too large. Exchanged for next smaller size, way way too small. Vast difference in one size change.

Beautiful shoes, well made, but -- for me -- not comfortable. Just different enough from the non-waterproof ones that my feet hurt, although same size. I'm going to return. If they fit your feet, they will be good shoes that you can expect to last a long time. Just not for me.

Unfortunately, although my right shoe fits my right foot, the left foot is crowded in the left shoe. I had high hopes for this shoe product, but am still trying to stretch the left shoe out in the toe area, so that it can become comfortable. I plan to keep these shoes - with hopes stretching will occur sufficiently to make them actually comfortable.

These shoes seem to provide good lateral support since my feet tend to supinate. After several wearings, the shoes are still very stiff. They are good at repelling water. The laces can be slippery and require a double knot.

I wanted a shoe instead of a boot because I didn't want anything rubbing on my ankle. Really liked the shoe and the fit was great. The only problem was that the inner side of the shoe hit me directly on my ankle bone which make it very uncomfortable. Unfortunately I had to send them back.

These shoes seemed to be of good quality, but the shoe was too heavy for my needs.
