I live at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in South Central Colorado. Needless to say, my shoes and hiking boots get quickly beat up. I needed a nice looking walking shoe for a trip to Chicago where over the course of a week-end I must have logged around ten miles of walking on pavement. Right out of the box, these shoes were comfortable. No pain or fatigue issues at all. Navigated airports going and coming without a twinge. I have wide feet and shopping for shoes can be a nightmare. These were great. I have boots so probably won't put these to the test on the trails here. It's nice to have one good pair or shoes.

When the weather turns cold, I switch to these shoes for my daily walks. They are light-weight and fit me very well.

These are great boots. They fit true to size, they are very comfortable and waterproof. I love that they are lightweight too. I can't say enough good things, they are just great hiking shoes

Best winter walkers! Keep feet warm and dry. I walk about 5 miles per day and they are the best

The sizing is perfect. The hikers proved true their waterproof rating on my first mountain hike with them. They have excellent traction for hiking down steep slopes

Got these for hiking, good shoes! I climbed two difficult trails with them brand new and no blisters or pain, great shoes. Make sure they fit you right! Im sometimes a 7 and ended up needing a 7.5 for more toe wiggle room.

Add to my previous review on 12/8/2021. I purchased the 6 1/2 wide, they're great, very similar to the toe room of Keen hikers. I've been wearing them most days for a month now, they're very comfortable

These shoes fit great from the very first day. No hot spots or blisters. My only complaint is that the laces will not stay tight. I've used them for 14 days in my daily walking exercise and had to stop each and every day to re-tie them. I guess I will now have to shop for new laces because these are not going to work.

Pro - I wear these shoes everyday to walk the dog (2-3 miles), and they are great. They provide good support and are comfortable. This is why I would recommend this item, but with the caveat below. Con - The reason I gave only 3 stars is because the fabric lining the inside of the shoe back by the heel/ankle starts to wear out in just months while the outside, including the sole, is fine. This is my third pair of this model (trail model low), one ventilated and the last two waterproof, and it's happened with all of them. I've only had my latest pair for 3 months, and the interiors on both are already starting to wear away.

I do own a pair of these shoes, purchased years ago and, those get 5 stars! I've been trying to purchase another pair, maybe 2 and, they're never available/in stock .....when they are, they only seem to be available in just 1 or, 2 sizes and, already sold out in the one color I really want and, keep trying to get! Yesterday the blue pair was the only color available....in size 9 and 11.....today, the brown color is only available in, 2 large sizes, neither of which, I wear. Order, MORE next time, in more colors......I'll buy 2 pairs!

These are comfortable and attractive waterproof hiking shoes. I have been purchasing these Bean hiking shoes for years. They maintain their shape and last a long time, but after several years of regular use I do replace them with the latest version that Bean offers and have been satisfied.

I had never owned hiking boots or shoes, but I needed something sturdy and warm for a trip to Iceland. These were perfect. I wore only these shoes for 12 hours a day for 7 days. They were comfortable and provided the traction and sturdiness needed to walk/hike on rough and icy surfaces.

comfortable and last unlike regular sneakers. I'm on my feet all day, and these shoes are sturdy enough to keep my back from hurting.

Fits perfectly to regular size, great walking she in snowy conditions.

This morning I took the hikers out of the box and put them on with medium weight socks. I then went out for a walk. No break in was needed. Decent traction. And for hiking shoes they are cute!

I had a wonderful cashier the day I was L. L. Bean's in Maine. She was very helpful in making sure the bags were not too heavy, and she was unperturbed by the swirl of activity all around us.

I hiked Acadia in these and I'm so glad I had them. My feet felt great the whole time: no slipping, no blisters, just cool and comfortable. I didn't have to break them in or add an insole. They gave me gecko grip: I consistently had better traction on wet and steep rocks than those around me. Very sturdy feel and the outside is quite resistant to scuffing or abrasion.

I've had these hiking shoes for years, and they are great! I love that they have a very sturdy bottom -- good for long days on the trail or rocky terrain.

I needed a women's double wide shoe, they don't carry that in women's sizes. Because of the "boxed" tie and top area these are a great fit. Very comfortable and great for hiking.

Good looking with style which is uncommon in a hiking shoe

I love these shoes. My feet never hurt after a long days wearing.

Extremely comfortable I am 110% satisfied with them and I know now where I will always buy for my trail hiking shoes and everyday shoes.
