I bought these on sale and they are one of the best purchases of shoes/ boot shoes ever. They are comfortable and well fitting both in length and width. I am very happy with them!

Great shoes that I bought for my daughter. She likes them but says that they are extremely warm. We may send them back an exchange for the vented ones. Haven't decided yet but outside of that they are absolutely excellent.

I bought these for extra foot stability when I am not wearing my hiking boots, but when I wanted some thing, more substantial, then sandals to support my feet. For example, when I am carrying a large backpack onto trains, these shoes provide the foot security that I need to prevent falls. I do not wear them for heavy duty hiking. For that, I prefer my being Cresta hikers. I bought a slightly larger size so that I could use my hiking arch support for additional support inside, as well as possibly hiking socks, if needed. I purchased the wide, and frankly, I wish they were made a little bit wider.

This is my third pair of Trail Model Waterproof Hikers. I primarily hike in rolling terrain near my home (average 6-10 miles/hike), but have used these hikers in the NC, TN , VA & CA mountains for some tough climbing. I like the protection and secure platform they offer. They wear well and are pretty comfortable out of the box. I would break them in just a bit before attempting a real long trek.

This is the best walking shoe I have owned! The cushion that is provided is perfect for walking. I love the grip the shoe offers when walking in any weather condition, uneven ground, rain, & snow!

Took a while to break in as they were quite stiff when I got them. Now they are fine with good traction and fit.

I really like this shoe style very much. I have always been very hard on shoes because of my overpronation. In my later years I have developed bunions. Unlike all the sneakers I have purchased, which were much pricier, these shoes have stayed supportive and stable for several months and at the same time they have plenty of room in the toe box. I did supplement the insoles with arch supports but I have to do that with all my footwear. I also added a soft insole for additional cushioning. Overall, I'm very please with them.

this is the third pair of these hiker's I have purchased. They last me for approximately 2-3 years of wearing them nearly every day. My sensitive feet are well supported and the shoe is very comfortable, my feet don't sweat with these and the cushioning in the soles lasts as long as the treads/sole. I'm very pleased with these and will purchase them again and would recommend to anyone seeking a quality hiker with good ventilation and support.

I purchased these for a recent trip to Ireland. They did not disappoint!! My feet remained dry during the rain as well as walking through the wet grass. Fit was good. They were very warm. Thick sox not needed.

I wore these shoes on Safari in South Africa. I did not get a chance to "break them in". I wore them with thick socks. They felt great, no problems with my feet. I just needed to get used to them being heavy shoes, no big deal.

I suffer with no cushioning in my feet. And I have had one root torn meniscus repair so these shoes have been perfect for Busy days with close to 10,000 steps.

I needed to replace an old pair of New Balance hikers. When I looked at LLBean's shoes I found these and a pair of Oboz that I liked. Since I felt I couldn't make up my mind without actually trying them on, I ordered both. Figured I'd like one and send the other back. Well, to make a long story short, I'm very likely to keep both. But let me concentrate on the Women's Trail Model 4 Hiking Shoes. They arrived yesterday and when I opened the package and tried both pair on I decided I'd be more comfortable if I used some Dr. Scholl's air foam inserts for extra cushioning. Other than that, both felt pretty comfortable. Today I decided to wear the Model 4's. It had rained last night so the sidewalks were wet. I had NO PROBLEM meaning there was NO slipping on wet pavement or concrete or grass. Then, all of a sudden without warning there was a heavy downpour. I managed to get to a sheltered area for about 5 minutes until it was over, then walked home pretty fast because I was concerned about another downpour. But the walking surfaces were even more wet because of the rain. Still no slipping. And my feet stayed dry. I'm planning to keep these shoes. I like that they are very sturdy and supportive. Foot specialists say that's what we need - not flimsy stuff. If the Oboz are also this good I'll plan to keep both pair so I have a spare. These shoes aren't cheap, but maybe you get what you pay for??

They are replacing a pair of exactly the same boot. I loved the first ones so much that when I wore them out, I immediately checked for the same style! I love them! Comfy, warm, sturdy....good looking! What more could you ask?

I bought these for my trip to Tennessee to hike the Obed Wild and Scenic River. I am so glad I did! I would not have gotten through the trails if I just wore regular sneakers. I found that choosing a size up was best for me - I normally wear 8.5 in sneakers and purchased this in a 9. This gave me more room in the toe box but still stayed secure in the rest of the shoe. I found that I would have to tighten the strings more to keep them snug enough on my feet to prevent foot ache. They are a bit stiff, but I found that useful on the trail and I wore hiking socks that helped prevent any blisters. I also found these to be water resistant just as advertised.
