Did I need yet another pair of Bean Boots, when they are nigh indestructible and will last a lifetime? Probably not. Did I want another extremely comfortable, durable, goes-with-anything pair of boots that I can slip on easily? Of course! Thank you again, LL Bean, for making gross weather a little more fun to deal with. (And the snazzy special laces I found at the Freeport store make them even better.)

These boots are very comfortable and very well made!

Quality is worth so much these days. You will stop feeling like just a number when you slip the soft leather over your toes and sink into the most deliciously comfortable wet weather boots you've ever owned. Of all of the personal items I've bought in my lifetime, this pair of boots ranks in the top three.

Just what I needed for walking the dog, putting the garden to bed for winter and just plain outdoor living in inclement weather, Size must be a tad big because had enough room for an insole, which I prefer for any shoe I wear for long stretches. Was tired of supposedly waterproof shoes and finally gave in to the obvious; a rubber lower will always succeed in keeping me dry where others have let me down.

I've had bean boots for years and have always loved them. These 6" boots are no exception. They fit excellently, they keep my feet dry. I had the 8" in the past and always found them a tiny bit cumbersome in height so the 6" are my new faves. The red leather ran a little bit on my socks the first few times but that is to be expected. I hadn't had the heel thing in the back either, and that's great. I recently bought Bombas wool ankle socks and they are the perfect companion to the 6" Bean Boot. Love to you LLBean!

I bought these as part of my daily morning dog walking down by the Tennessee River. It's wet and grassy. Everyone down there had a pair. Well after 2 weeks wearing everyday I have to say they're wonderful! Dry feet and cute! Happy feet! Happy dog! Thanks!!

I've always wanted a pair of these boots, and they are more comfortable than I expected for rubber boots. The insoles are thick and have good arch support. The leather on the tongue is thick and will take some breaking in, but these should last forever. I normally wear a 9 in boots, 8 1/2 in other shoes, and the 8 in these fit perfectly.

I have always wanted a pair of LL Bean Duck Boots. My husband got them for my birthday. I love them. They are very comfortable and I enjoy them very much. I normally wear a 6-1/2 or 7 depending, but got a 6. PERFECT Keep up the good work LL Bean

The best quality boots made in the USA. Fit and comfort are awesome. Tough, waterproof boots ready for the barnyard, lawn or heading into town on a rainy/snowy day. You can't go wrong with these boots from LLBean and it's awesome they are made in Maine by real people. Love the tumbled leather look, it adds fashion during a day in town.

Sent them back but havn't reordered yet. My whole family has had this boot and they all love them!

I spent years wanting but not getting a pair of bean boots because of cost! What a waste. They are as great as you expect and built to last for years. This was my third pair all different styles. Would recommend in a heart beat.

Best shoes ever. I finally, after a decade of wear needed to replace my old ones. And when I say a decade I mean a hard life. I clean office and homes for work , so from October- March I hardly take them off. Even at home I wear outside. We live in the country- so much abuse there. Then when my daughter could fit them they were stolen by her when they weren't on my foot. These new ones are wonderful- I know I'll get a million miles out of these also. FYI, size down, to clean and look like new -pledge furniture polish/ spray and wipe. -don't laugh but I also have washed them in the wash machine several times. They turn out sparkling !

I do a lot of outdoor events throughout the year in all types of weather. I had one in particular recently that left my feet soaking wet and half frozen. A friend of mine said you need to get bean boots... and after doing some more research i did just that (I normally wear a size 8 so I got a size 7 just like they recommend and they were a perfect fit). AND boy am I glad I did!! I've worn these for 5 outdoor events now (one was legit during a hurricane) and my feet were dry and toasty! If you're outside a lot in the weather you need these! You'll be asking the same question I am... why did I wait so long!?!

The bean boot fits right to my foot I definitely need to use a thicker sock. They are comfortable and easy to clean.

So these boots were just as advertised. They do run large, so I ordered down a size. I also ordered a pair of similar boots from one of LLBean's large competitors. The LLBean boots were 100% better. Bean has better materials, the footbed is more comfortable; it's just all around a better product. I really couldn't believe the difference in the quality. The price was higher only because the other product was "on sale." Since I plan to wear these boots for the rest of my life I am willing to pay the difference. My only disappointment is that one of the grommets for the shoelaces has a rough spot that grabs when I snug up the laces. And no, I did not return them for repair or replacement. It's the fall rainy season the NC foothills and I need the boots!

These are beautiful boots, excellently made, with cushioned, supportive footbeds. The tumbled leather is soft and pliable, and smells good! I heeded the advice and ordered one size smaller than usual (thus calling them "true to size," based on that advice). The left boot fit perfectly. My right foot, however, is slightly smaller and narrower that my left and I could not find a way to lace it so that the heel didn't slip. The little toe on that foot also insisted on smashing itself against the side of the boot, causing pain. I wore them around the house a few times to be certain, but could tell that it was not going to get any better. Thus because of my wonky anatomy, I had to reluctantly return the boots. I hope my pair will find a happy home with someone else.

I had to purchase a half size down, which is fine. Its roomy enough to wear wool socks but my feet stay dry and warm every time I wear these! I love the color of the leather and the strap on the back to pull them on. They are perfect and I hope to have them for many years!

I bought these for my wife's birthday. They are the same as her last pair, except for the padded collar. She told me to return them, Shes said that her 20 year old pair are still good.

I purchased the size 7 medium. I normally wear size 8 medium. The 7M fits perfectly. I had purchased an 8M in the gumshoe and always struggled with them being sloppy. Now I know to purchase a size down for myself. These are very well made, good support that is removable and I can put in an orthotic. The leather is soft and no break-in required. I use these boots for gardening, walking my dog and general project work. Love these boots.

So I ordered the boots in the recommended 1 size down 7, (usually an 8/occasionally an 8.5) and they are perfect! I have worn them with a thicker sock and a lighter weight sock, weather depending, and they are so comfy! No break in time required. So glad I finally got a pair! I wore them most recently last weekend on a camping trip with lots of walking in cooler temps. Perfect!

This was my first time trying Bean Boots in the shorter height, and I'm in love! This boot doesn't feel too heavy when I walk, and it still has that classic L.L. Bean look. I usually wear shoes between sizes 8 and 9, so I ordered both a 7 and an 8 based on the fit recommendations. Both sizes feel great; the 7 is just right, but the 8 leaves a bit of room for air circulation around my toes, which according to the informational card included in my package is the intended fit. Still, I haven't yet decided which one to keep!

Was very pleased with my first purchase with LLBean boots. It's comfortable and I still have enough room to wiggle my foot, I like the style. It seems to have a good quality the stitching, the rubber sole, the leather, inside sole was good. I'm please with the overall details of how the boots are made. Was reading all the reviews before I decided to get it and took a chance and guess what??? LLBeans you made my day. I would definitely will buy again.

These are definitely in keeping with the LLBean standard of quality. Love the tumbled leather! So soft. If you do not plan to wear thick socks, order down a size. However, I do I have narrow feet so that makes a difference.

I purchased these boots for my wife who was so excited to get real and the original duck books. The customer service lady (who's name has escaped me) at L.L. Bean was great and the whole experience was incredibly professional. I'm planning on more purchases for a small business I own.
