I Waited a long time for by Bean Boots and love the, I only wish it was colder this winter. Not much snow around this year to really enjoy them. I ordered them in Nov and got them at the end of Feb. I normally take a 9 and ordered a 9 and they were way too big. Downsized to an 8 and they fit great.

I am 48 yrs old. As a teen I owned the "duck shoes". I loved the way the bean boots looked for quite a while. Finally decided to order them for my birthday last year in October. Yay! Originally I ordered the one without the shearling and tumbled leather. A local mall has a Bean kiosk. I am usually a size 9. I tried them on-couldn't get my foot in them because of the way the tongue is attached. The tumbled shearling style tongue is not attached, and so very lovely! I did order a full size down. I received them mid February. In the meantime I bought a pair of look-alikes. Kept telling myself I would keep them and return the L.L. Bean ones to save some money. Just the same I did not cancel the order waiting to see how they looked and felt on my feet. Once received, there was no way I was returning them. They are warm, comfortable, and I know I will have them forever! Thank you LL Bean!

In short, I cannot believe that I've lived in New England without these boots for so long. I often walk several miles per day, and these are, by far, the most comfortable winter boots I have purchased. These are warm, comfy, and perfect for the classic "wintry mix". I did not have to break these in at all...they were super comfortable right out of the box. Though these were back-ordered, (and back-ordered again), the LLBean customer service team was gracious enough to call and offer an apology. I did have to wait 4 months for these boots, but the wait was worth it for the quality product and customer service received. I am an LL Bean convert!!

They may have taken six months to arrive but they were well worth the wait~ and just in time for a snow storm.

These boots are all they are cracked up to be to be and more! So glad I waited for them. They are extremely comfortable, warm and waterproof. I find myself wearing them all day, very lightweight. Glad I opted for the shearling and broken in leather, feels like I have had these for years, no breaking in period needed. Agree with other reviews, size down - I wear an 8.5 or 9 and ordered an 8. They fit great, even with heavy socks. Thrilled to finally have my boots!

I was so excited to finally receive these boots, just in time to wear them for the rest of the crazy boston winter. I love the shearling lining, it provides a little extra warmth and coziness. I was going back and forth not knowing which ll bean boot to get because I read a review that said the lining made the boots too warm, like sweaty feet warm. I definitely do not experience that - I've worn them outside in the cold, walking around the mall, doing errands, etc, and they're awesome. Also for sizing - I usually wear a 7.5/8, and even 8.5 sometimes depending on the store, and I got the 7 M and they fit great! Just the right amount of roominess. So happy about these boots. Get them.

These really are amazing boots - i would say they come up a bit small as i usually take 7.5/ 8 but i purchased a size 7 and they fit perfectly even with a thick sock. These boots are so well made and feel like slippers when they are on your feet. Not something you expect from big winter boots. Well worth the money!

Mine were backordered but so worth the wait. These boots are incredibly made and so warm. I normally wear a 7 but after reading all the reviews I ordered a size down (6W). There's a little bit of room - just enough for thicker socks. These are the best boots ever. I highly recommend them!

I ordered these boots last summer and just got them a few days ago. I'm so in love with them already! Comfortable, super warm, the leather is really soft yet thick enough to resist several winters for sure. I live in the eastern part of Canada and we have really cold winters, with harsh snow storms, these boots are perfect, they keep my feet warm and dry! My shoe size is usually 6.5 and I ordered these boots in 6, they fit perfectly, enough room for thick socks! (I added the shearling insoles for even more warmth, so soft!!). I was afraid they would look bulky as I'm short (5'3") but they look perfect actually. Thank you LL Bean, I'm already looking for another pair of boots!

I ordered these boots in September because I knew they would sell out fast and it took me three tries to get the right size so I'm glad I was proactive. I absolutely love these boots! I have the shearling insole to go along with them and my foot is so warm in them. I go to college where it's really cold in the winters, and I haven't tested them out in the snow yet since this winter has been super mild so far, but I wore them in the rain and somewhat cold weather and they keep me super toasty :) My foot is a little wider than medium and I'm a 9 usually so the right size for me was an 8 wide.

These boots are worth the wait! They are super cozy and warm and look cute whether it is snowing or not. The only thing I had to get used to was the tightness around my upper ankle since they are the 8". These boots overall are wonderful and I LOVE that they are made in Maine!

I am so excited to have these boots! The shearling is totally the way to go. The inside of the whole boot is so soft and comfy. I was rather unsure of which size to order. The website says to order your regular size, but reviews said they did that and the shoes were huge. I decided to stick with the LLBean recommendation and they fit perfect! I am a size 10, but wear a 10.5 in a tennis shoe. The size 10 shearling line fit great. They are a roomy/boxy fit and are a bit wide, but it gives me space to wear a thick sock. My toes will definitely be toasty, dry and cute in these boots all winter.

These bean boots were my first pair ever purchased and they are amazing! The fur on the inside is so warm and the shoes themselves are so comfortable! I wear them all around campus and to work and they are great. However, due to the fur my feet would be very hot if it wasn't cold. I am normally a size 9 but I have a size 8 and wear ankle socks, so ask what size you would need depending on your sock preference. Overall, I love them!

I ordered these 8" Shearlings boots, along with the 8" Thinsulate, and the 8" Bison boot and after trying all three, the shearling boots by far are the best. 1. Shearling lined makes it softer, warmer, more comfortable. *Note, the soles aren't shearling lined, but you won't really notice. I ordered the shearling soles and added and now they are perfect. 2. The tongue opens!!! These was the deal breaker for me. Most LL Bean boots are made so that the tongue is stitched to the body of the boot, but these are not completely stitched to the the body making it EASIER to put on. 3. They look great. I think these are worth the extra money. The leather is softer than the regular leather used in the other boots. The look and feel great. These boots took 4 months for me to receive. I ordered them in February and received them in July. Of course I didn't need them in the summer, but I'm so happy I pulled the trigger to have them here by winter. If you are debating on whether or not to buy them, I would advise you to buy them.

I ordered these boots just in time to them to arrive before going overseas and the week I was leaving I found out that there had been a delay and it was not going to arrive before my departure. I called customer service and they did an amazing job cancelling my previous order and shipping a second pair using the fastest option available at no charge so I can get them on time. THANKS!!! The boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn, I am in love with them. The lining is sooooo soft. They look beautiful, yet are incredibly sturdy and well made. I cannot be happier with this purchase and with LL Bean.

This boot is perfect in my opinion. The style and warmth is on point. And most importantly they are super comfortable. The tumbled leather is so soft and much nicer then the basic bean boot which had a more plastic feel to the leather. I love that the sherling stops at the ankle and the footbed is lined with the thinsulate. If anyone owns uggs you know the sherling can get quite stinky as your foot sweats. Although they do offer a sherling insert if you wanted to go there. Now onto the sizing. They run big. I normally wear a 9 in sneakers and an 8.5 in boots. Size guide suggested a 9 and they were huge. I returned for an 8 and I still have room in the front. I reccomend ordering a size down even if your wearing heavy socks. I walked around all day in them right out of the box and they were super comfortable and required no break in time. They supported my arches and also cushioned my heel. I also liked I could feel the ground with my toes. Excellent customer service by ll bean though my returns as always. Buy these boots!!!

These are great shoes for the winter but as the description says they do run large. I normally wear a 6.5 and purchased a size 7 since they recommend going up a size if you plan to wear thick socks with them. The 7 was way too big even with thick socks. I returned them for the size 6, which fit much better but are still a little roomie. All in all they keep my feet warm and dry.

Great boot for the New England winters. I bought a pair last year from a LL Bean store which someone had returned. I am a true size 7 shoe, medium width. I bought a size 7, wide because that's all the store had and I really wanted a pair for the winter. The 7, wide were huge when I tried them on in the store, but I thought I could wear a thick sock with them and be fine. Needless to say I had to wear a thin sock and a thick LL Bean Ragg Camp sock and they were still too big. I finally was able to order a size 6 online which are still roomy but I can now wear with one pair of thick socks and I should be fine. Long story short, these boots run very big so I would recommend sizing down.

I ordered these online and had them delivered to a store because shoes are tricky and I figured if they didn't fit, I could return or swap them right there. I did not read the reviews until after I'd ordered and that was a mistake. As nearly every other reviewer mentions, these boots are wildly massive. I put them on and felt like I was walking around in scuba flippers. Luckily they had them a full size and a half smaller in the store and I was able to get them. As usual, the customer service in the store was impeccable. From the greeter who got the ordered package for me, to the woman at the register, to the awesome show dept guy. Top itch as usual, LL Bean.

I was so excited to receive my bean boots! I'm typically a size 8.5-9 in flat shoes (usually always a 9) so I ordered a 9 to be on the safe side. That was a mistake, they were huge even with thick socks- my feet were slipping in the shoes as I walked on snow. Luckily, LL Bean has an amazing return policy and even though I wore them once, I was able to return them for a size 8. Now they fit amazingly. I tried them on without socks (I just returned them in the summer and didn't have socks on) and they were a tiny bit loose but I know they will be perfect with socks. My advice for anyone buying these shoes would be to size down! Otherwise, amazing boots and I know I will have these for years to come.

These boots are great! The tumbled leather is soft and has that comfortable, broken in feel. The shearling lining is plush and cozy. But, please note, the shearling lines only the leather portion of the boot. The rubber portion is lined with a quilted type material. Definitely spend the extra money to get the shearling insoles. They make the foot portion of the boot just as cozy as the ankle portion. The fit is perfect. I ordered a 9 in the boot and an 8 in the shearling insoles. I am usually an 8.5-9. They will fit perfectly with light to mid-weight socks. They are so comfortable with the insoles. These will be my go to run around boots for the fall, winter, and spring here in Maine. And, they're cute, too! LL Bean: Please consider offering these boots in an navy/tan option.

I just got my first pair of LLBean boots and I could not be more happy. The lining is so soft and keeps your feet warm. Also the fit is perfect for wearing thicker socks. Happy to have a pair of these after the last winter we had.

These shearling-lined boots feel as it they are already broken in, very comfortable! I originally ordered the Gortex-thinsulated boot but sent it back as it was way too big and pretty stiff. As for sizing, I followed the L.L. Bean recommendation. I normally wear a 9.5 and consider my feet to have a wide toe box. I debated on ordering these in a wide but I am glad I choose the standard M width. My toes seem to have plenty of room, no squishing on the sides. I did order the shearling liner to use during the cold winter days as I do a lot of walking outside on a daily basis. I can't wait to start wearing these this Winter!
