Just got these boots, so they haven't been 'road-tested' just yet. However, they passed the crucial first test and that is trying them on. The boots feel great, like bedroom slippers. I have sensitive feet, so it's important the seams are covered and they are. My size ranges from 9 to 10, from medium to wide. I followed the suggestions of other posts and ordered a size 9, wide D and it's perfect.

These boots are the greatest. I was so reluctant to order these as I seem to have a closet full of shoes that hurt. I wear size 8 and felt weird ordering a 7. I ended up ordering wide as I wear them with medium heavy socks. The fit is perfect. No pain and for once my feet are warm. I like the ankle support.

These soft, warm, sturdy boots are worth every penny! I do a lot of hiking, including a daily 40 minute hike up a small "mountain" behind my home. These are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever owned and the 8" height offers great support and helps keep me from twisting an ankle on the trail, which is full of rocks and deadfalls. It's difficult for me to find a good, comfortable boot as I have both plantar fasciitis and neuromas. Zero pain in these boots, ever. What's more, LL Bean's return policy and service are phenomenal. i originally purchased the same boot in a larger size, and wore them for months before deciding they were too big and realizing i could return them within a YEAR of purchase. Sent them back and got a full refund. A company that stands behind their products and supports their customers like this is a true gem.

My normal size is 9 1/2 and I ordered the size 8 as suggested. They were way too small. Exchanged them for the 9 and they are perfect!

I normally wear an 8 medium, but went with a 7 wide, which was perfect! Boot is comfortable and held up well to hike a nice waterfall trail on a rainy day in the Catskills! I had ordered 3 different boots and this was by far my favorite, I returned the other 2 pair!

These boots are absolutely lovely. While I normally wear a size 9 or 9.5 in shoes, I usually have to size up to a 10 with boots since I wear them with thick socks and my feet are on the wider side. I followed LL Bean's sizing recommendations for these boots and ordered a 9 wide. They fit like they were made for my feet! I love these boots because of the softness (but sturdiness) of the tumbled leather. They are not stiff and feel already broken in. I also really like the shearling lining, which is extremely comfortable and warm. I've owned many iterations of boots from LL Bean through the years and these might be the new favorites.

I LOVE these boots. This was my first time ordering LL Bean boots and boy am I glad I did! The quality and construction of these boots are far superior than any of those inferior "knock off" brands. You can't go wrong when you purchase from LL Bean. I get so many compliments when I wear them. They're tough, durable, and super warm and comfy. I especially love that they're made here in the U.S. so I know I'm buying quality merchandise. Get these boots! You won't be disappointed!

These boots are warm and great in snow, slush and deep puddles! Best yet they still can be stylish while keeping your feet warm and dry.

These are a comfort warmth boot it runs true to size or a little tight we always buy bigger to accommodate wool socks room to wiggle toes ECT to keep warm and blood flow the leather will release and stretch some so size might be right but tight boots in the winter are not what you want, these always hold up and salt doesn't break them down like most boots.

I'm fairly new to New England I have try many different pairs of boots for warmth. These have done the trick and I will never buy other brand of boots. Thank you Bean for making the best boots

I have wanted these boots for years and was so excited to finally get them! They've been great in the rain and snow and are so warm and cozy!

I was hesitant to buy these, but so glad I did. I'm a true size 9 with narrow feet. Ordered an 8 and they fit perfect with medium thickness socks. I bought some other competitor bean boots (name starts with S and ends with Y), and there's no comparison. The leather is soft and good support in the footbed that has a removable insole. I wore them for the first time walking around all day in the Michigan winter and my feet weren't cold at all. Plus, they were SUPER comfortable and didn't make my feet hurt or sore. Virtually no break in time. I NEVER write reviews, but I was actually impressed with these. Just buy these boots, you wont regret it.

I have been eye these boots for years. I finally splurged and got them. They are warm, comfortable, and the perfect winter boot. I even use them when it is raining. I am a size 10 and I had to size down a full size to a 9.

Absolutely love these boots! I tried several different sizes of the non-tumbled leather boots but always felt like my heel was slipping. Tried these and they fit amazing! They are so comfy and warm and I love that I can slip them on and forego tying the laces for a quick sprint outside. The look of these boots is just classic too. They're up there with the timeless cool of Ray Bans and Converse high tops. Thank you LL Bean! :)

Simply the best boots ever! I broke my right foot years ago and now have arthritis in that foot. I've struggled finding a warm pair of winter boots until now! I am so happy with my purchase - They are well worth their price tag!

I splurged on these when they were having 20% off. They were still expensive, but worth it. Right out of the box they are a tad stiff. The shoelaces especially. I have worn them a handful of times now, and they are softening. I did not have to size down like was recommended. I am a size ten, and ordered a ten. They fit perfectly with a winter sock. I wore them once with a very thin sock, and they were a tad loose, but not in length.

Welcome home old friend! These boots fit perfect from the first time I slid my feet into them. I would recommend them to anyone who has need of warm corfortable boots.

I absolutely love these. I've been wanting Bean boots for a while, and struggled to decide which ones. I'm glad that I got these -- they are perfectly comfortable right out of the box, warm to wear with regular socks in the winter, and look great. The tread is great and has been good in mud and snow. I was skeptical about ordering a size down, but did, and they are perfect.I highly recommend these!

Typically wear a 7 or a 7.5. Purchased these in a size 6M and they're perfect. I added the LL Bean sherling liners (in a size 6M...which is apparently a men's size 6 but it fits my women's 6 perfectly) and these puppies are the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned. My feet stayed dry and warm in 25 degrees sledding with the kiddos...wearing just some thin socks. I also comfortably wear them indoors and don't get hot feet. I chose these over the 8" thinsulate for a few reasons: a) I had trouble getting my foot in and out of the thinsulate due to the tongue being fully attached all the way up the shaft of the boot for waterproofing reasons 2) I liked the darker color and softness of the tumbled leather on the sherling...way less stiff right out of the box and c) sherling looked better on (my feet looked big in the other because the shaft was so skinny) and I am able to style it different ways (turn down the furry tongue or wear fully laced). Not sure why I waited so long to order these boots! Well worth the investment.

I waited for a few months before purchasing these boots since they were a larger expense than usual for me. They are worth every penny. The fur lining is so warm and cozy. I was advised to get a size down; I usually wear size 9 or 9.5 and the size 8 fit perfectly for me with thin socks. I'm in love with these boots and I can't wait for a snow storm so I can really test them out. :)

This was a Christmas gift for my teenage granddaughter and she LOVES her boots! The quality is great and I expect she will love them for a long time!

My girlfriend and I both got a pair of LL Bean boots for Christmas and decided to wear them on our trip to Europe. We were walking around 12 miles a day as we explored Paris, Barcelona, and London. The shoes were very comfortable and they were a big reason why our feet were not tired and aching by the end of the day. They were perfect for walking around in the chilly weather and our feet did not get wet while trekking through the rainy streets of London. My girlfriend has very low arches in her feet and she was praising the shoes for not giving her any pain at all. We highly recommend these boots!

Finally after lusting after these boots for a LONG time I bought them ! Fit is perfect, easy to get on and keep my feet dry, warm and toasty. , Do not hesitate to purchase these boots... PERFECT a real winner !

I bought this boot as a Christmas present for my daughter who works outside. She needed a boot that was able to stay dry while walking in the rain and warm when it snows. We bought the boot a half size larger than her normal shoe size. She loves them. She wears them even when we go hiking. Would love a pair for myself.
