Great fabric, sturdy and nice color. Unfortunately I'm a woman buying a man's shirt to get the sleeves to fit. I just bought the wrong size and really need to go into the store to see if there is any merit to buying this man's shirt for myself. If you're the type of person who would normally wear the shirt definitely buy it. It's a good value.

Order an XL, had to exchange for a L. It looks good tho.

Super soft and good length. It fits big, size down for a slim build.

The shirt came through looking good but I have hardly worn it. Other Bean shirts like this have worn through quickly at the left elbow.

The shirt looks great but it is comically large on me - even though I ordered a "Small"/"Regular." I am 5'8 and look like a child wearing a smock. This might just be the "Traditional Fit" as opposed to the "Slim Fit" or "Slightly Fitted" Smalls I've gotten from LL Bean before. But... worth knowing if you are on the smaller side.

Great shirt, but it runs large. I ordered a large first and it's like a sail-Ireturned it for a size down. I normally wear a large or extra large and the medium of this shirt fits. Oddly enough, the length of the shirt in the large and medium is the same. If I was typical medium build, the shirt would be at my knees!

I like the pattern and softness of this shirt but it's huge. The sleeve length fits, but it's too big through the chest and is probably 4-5 inches below my waist. I'd exchange for a smaller size but I'm worried that the sleeves won't fit.

I have had several of these shirts over the years and I continue to buy them. I wear them almost every day during the winter. I was disappointed in this one as the right sleeve elbow wore through sooner than I thought it should have.

I have two other llbean Men's Chamois Shirt, Traditional Fit, Plaid, Regular that fit well. This shirt shoulders went down to my upper arms and the front of the shirt wrapped over halfway around my torso. Label was medium but it was more like a large of x-large. I plan to return it for one that fits much better...It is a good heavy flannel shirt

I purchased 5 of these shirts for nephews. All tall/athletic young men. All typically wear L-XL shirts. I had purchased Henleys in the past- size L and they fit well. This shirt was great looking, soft, and looked warm. I had to return all shirts in exchange for smaller sizes. I ended up purchasing M(tall) for each and the fit was just right.

Looked nice and material was soft, which I wanted. But it turned out the tall size was really tall, too long. So it's being exchanged. It was a gift.

This is a good shirt - too bad there is no longer a guarantee on their products. I only buy when I have credit card points - without the guarantee its just like any other shirt.

I like this shirt. Warm and cozy. Gave it 4 stars because even though it's a tall the sleeves seemed to have shrunk a bit during the first washing.

I love this shirt and it has all the great L.L Bean features. The only issue is that it is too big. I did not return it as I cannot imagine that a Small would fit. I am going to try and shrink it in the dryer. If that doesnt work, it still looks good and can be worn over another shirt. I would recommend it to a friend, because if it doesnt fit you can always return. L.L. Bean shirts always look good and last a long time.

These are thick, soft and warm (I own four) & perfect in general. With wear & washing they lose some of that thickness & warmth, but remain soft. The traditional fit is generous, which is fine by me. This particular color had a 1" seam on the sleeve that came unsewn but was easily re-sewn & hardly critical.. The other three had no such defect & I'd give them 4 and a half stars.

Men have a lot of options for flannel however those options narrow considerably when shopping for a heavyweight flannel with impeccable softness. This shirt checks the heavyweight and softness boxes. It's an incredible feeling to put on. I'm fairly certain it will be stolen by the women in my household. Fought over. Where it's disappointing is in a small detail that other LL Bean reviewers have noted in other LL Bean men's shirts. The front and back panels of the shirt are not sewn so that the pattern mates up at the sides-- from the arm down. Yes, its a picky little detail, I admit, but for a $60 shirt, I expect this refinement. LLBean QA and Management, please tweak this with your Nicaragua plant. We have other options to shop at, if you disagree. Thank you.

It is a bit fuzzier than I would have liked, but it may change for the better. Nice fit, wonderful autumn colors.

From the first minute I put it on I liked everything about this shirt, especially the fit. Loved the color, the style and the sturdy feel of the material. It was perfect for brisk Fall weather. I enjoyed the look and feel of it every time I put it on. But after it was washed, the sleeves seemed to have shrunk just enough that I kept trying to pull them down a bit. It is still my favorite cool weather shirt, even with the less than perfect fit.

Very soft, super cozy, just was too wide and fit too large.

I love the fabric and color. However... This shirt is very large, definitely go down a size. I followed the size chart and now have to pay return shipping. The shirt is huge and really long and the arm holes are gigantic, making my arms look ridiculous. I can't tell if it's truly that oversized or if it's a really bad style.

I'm glad I checked the reviews before ordering. The fabric is amazing, but it's big! I ordered an XL and I'm swimming in it (if it was any bigger I would have to return it). For reference, I ordered an XXL slightly fitted in the Rangeley and it fits perfectly! I'll use this shirt for an outer layer on cold days,

I love the color and feel of the shirt, it's warm and I Know i'll get years of use out it. The one problem is that two buttons were missing and I need to call and have them sent to me

very comfortable and warm. Overall size and sleeve length way off. Does not shrink much after washing kept it anyway as jacket.

These chamois shirts are great. I'm looking to buy a couple more after I run them through the wash. My only quip is that one of the buttons on the sleeve fell off in the first hour of wearing it. Maybe a little better quality control would be beneficial?
