These are great! I have a problem finding wide width shoes that don't have high arches. These we wide, and a comfortable heel to toe drop.

Every other pair of shoes I’ve owned ended with a hole in the area of my small toe - but these did not! It took a few days to get used to them but they are the best shoes for my plantar fasciitis, hands down.

Great fit- no need to break these in. They come out of the box ready to go. Great stylish comfort.

The Speedgoat 5 is the most "technical" of all Hoka trail running shoes: Very grippy. Very breathable upper. Meant to really hug your foot. You still get Hoka's familiar plush ride, but the insole padding, the upper, and especially the tongue padding are thinner than on other Hokas. Speedgoats will grip rough surfaces without slipping, and will dry quickly. As a bonus, this is one of the Hoka shoes that comes in wide widths. Whether they are right for you depends on your needs. If you want a plush-feeling, highly padded, versatile shoe with a roomy toe box that you only occasionally take on trails, then maybe consider the Hoka Challenger instead. If you want a slightly stiffer and more form-fitting shoe built expressly for trail running in a variety of conditions, then check out these Speedgoats (and if you want something sort of in-between, consider the Brooks Cascadia or Saucony Peregrine).

No breaking in period needed. I usually wear Saucony’s and I have to get 11.5. With the Hokas an 11 is perfect. Great arch support and overall comfort!

I absolutely love this shoe. I bought it in 2 different colors. The fit is perfect. I get complements on how colorful the shoe is. They both go well with my outfits.

This is my second pair of Hoka Speed Goats. I love Hoka shoes. They are the very best for people with problematic feet, but all would benefit from the extreme comfort and support. My 30 year old son, who thought Hokas were for "old people" now owns a pair and says they are the best athletic shoes he has ever owned.

I really wanted to love these. I bought the same size I wear in the Bondi but they were narrow and uncomfortable. Unfortunately the colors I like aren’t available in a wide width.

This is an unbelievably comfortable pair of sneakers. Have been breaking them in while doing choirs in the house. Very comfortable.

My first Hoka experience arrived 8 days ago& I’ve been wearing ever since( even to a funeral ?) Do love that slim instep flap, quite unique from more recent years, they are very “springy “ which I take note of& yes, I’m wearing them as I type this review. Don’t like to take them off- that must say something! O

I've heard good things about the comfort of Hoka shoes, but my local store didn't have the style I was interested in. I like the colors and pattern on this particular shoe and they do feel very comfortable. I've worn them around the house a little to see if the upward curve near the end of the toebox would bother me doing online zoom exercise classes, but I'm sure that won't take long to get used to. I'm happy with these Hokas.

I love these hikers, no more foot pain, knees are not stressed and my back and hips are not weary after three miles in the woods.

I never order two pair of the same shoes, but these were worth it. The arch support is great, the fit is spot on, and I feel secure wearing them. I am 72 years old, and I don’t care if some call these “old lady shoes”. They feel and look great.

Love these shoes. Fit perfect and are very supportive. I am on my feet a lot and these shoes help tremendously with fatigue.

We hike a lot. A friend recommended these who wore them on The Camino. So comfortable- even with plantar fasciitis!

My new favorites! I have foot problems, being old and the fat pads on the bottom of the feet disappearing... awww - and these are really so comfortable. Very pretty colors too. I have tried many of the other Hoka shoes and they ALL - except for this Speedgoat - are too slippery for my hard floors - wood, tile, stone - to the point of being dangerous. Like walking on ice. Do people not wear Hoka indoors? I even chatted with their website and they said they'd never heard of this. Dunno. But I do love these, NOT slippery. I usually wear an 8 but the 7.5 was much better. Plenty of toe wiggle room and a cupped heel.

Loos and feels good

I have a problem with almost ALL of the Hoka shoes being very SLIPPERY - on stone or tile or hardwood they were like walking on ice. I even chatted with Hoka online and they acted like they'd never heard of this. I tried 5 different Hokas - Clifton 9, Bondi 8, Bondi X, Asahi 6 and Bondi SR - they told me the Bondi SR had really good traction but they all did the same thing, except the Speedgoat 5. I did end up getting the Hoka Speedgoat - goat sounded like something sturdy and they do not slide on my hard floors. I love the comfort and the colors - wow - but I am sorry all the others I tried were so slippery - I usually wear an 8 but the 7.5 was perfect. Lots of room for toe wiggle and holds the heel nicely.
