I am a dog Walker by trade and I don't do any real heavy trail running I just do normal dog walking and occasional beach walks. These shoes are disgustingly hard to clean. Within one day they look like they were 10 years old. The cushion is barely existent and there is no arch support.

My wife purchased these to replace her Stinson Gore-Tex boots. These are the only Gore-Tex boots that are neutral and plush. Unlikely the Stinson boots, the toebox in these boots is too narrow, so she returned them. Still hoping Hoka will make some thing similar to replace the Stinson's for both men and women.

My wife was really hoping this would be the replacement for the Stinson goretex boot she loves, but is no longer available. This boot is more narrow in the toe box, so it doesn't fit as well.

I always buy Hoka hiking boots, but this model has a rock hard sole. When I tried using a separate softer one, the boots didn't fit correctly so I have to return. Adequate cushioning is a priority for me.

Hit or miss with the boot. I purchased one pair in blue. They are great. I got a second pair in orange and I cannot wear them. My right foot and knee hurt every time I hike in them. I cannot walk without pain one I finish the hike and take off the boots. I have two pairs of Hoka running shoes and both are great. Must be a defective boot.

I was astounded to try these expensive and well-rated boots on to discover minimal cushioning around the ankle. The internal ankle structure material is rigid with little more than fabric covering it to cushion the ankle. I am sure that with minimal use the ankle support material would be rubbing directly on my skin. Even before trying them on I was already thinking of a duct tape/moleskin solution. Not what you want to pass through a customer's mind - how do I fix this expensive brand new boot? A beautiful boot in so many ways, but back they go.

I really wanted to like these boots! I have worn Hoka Running shoes for years and was looking forward to having boots that I could wear to work. I wore these for one shift and after just a couple of hours, the inside of my ankle bones had huge red spots and were in so much pain I had to take the boots off. Hoka please make a boot where the lace hooks don't dig right into your ankle bone! I just completed a return because I'm so disappointed. Even after lacing them different ways and trying them with different socks, they still caused so much pain.

Unfortunately, after wearing for only 6 hours my feet were hurting and mostly at the toes. I was hoping I could get a full day without any foot aches. My other Hokas (transport) are pain free than these boots, even after a 14 hour day on my feet. These boots should be as comfortable but my feet don't agree.
I gave two stars for the color and looks. I got the purple one and loved the look. It's only good for 2 hours tops for me. I can't speak on if they are water proof.
I was really hoping these would be worn out for my trip to a few national parks this year but I will be wearing regular shoes and returned these ones. I can't justify keeping pricey hiking boots that will cause pain while my other expensive hokas don't.
I have regular size feet. They don't feel narrow to me. I wear a size 8.
I returned these.

the wide heel base was causing my heel to roll on the uneven surfaces while walking in the woods

Sadly I'm returning these. Both boots rubbed terribly on my ankle bones. I didn't even have to wear them outside to feel it.... Just walking to the kitchen. I tried messing with the laces, not tying the top one... but if I can't tie the boot up, it defeats the purpose of wearing a tall boot.

I really enjoyed how light these were but they rub right onto the ankle bone. I only could wear them once. After spending a lot of money and only could use them once. I'm disappointed.

This is the first Hoka I've not been able to wear. The footbed does not feel right on my feet,
The only shoe I wear is the Bondi and the Stinson, wish each of those made a winter hiking boot.
I returned, great boot for someone, just not me

I love the comfort but these are still so new and yet today they started making a squeaking sound when I walk.

So, I bought my girlfriend these as a gift and she loved them. The way the water doesn't flow in while hiking. Her 4th time wearing them, she mentioned that she felt there was a leak. I'm not sure how to describe my disappointment, as I'd really wanted her to enjoy the brand that I'd enjoyed.

Weren't as cushioned as the shoes that I have and I thought the soles would be non slip. I slipped several times while wearing these.

Super cushioned; but the right shoe seam still rubbed on my ankle after a month of wear. I thought they just needed to break in. Nope, I gave up and threw them away. I’m very annoyed to have spent so much on unbearable shoes, but will try a low Hoka shoe for hiking.

they are too narrow and not really plush. I was expecting a Clifton 8 kind of plush but its nothing like that. theyre too narrow and make my feet hurt. Maybe I need to break them in? Ill used them and see if they loosen up. Maybe I should try the Tor Ultra style

This Kaha 2 has an improved lining: I returned Kaha original because of wrinkles in the goretex lining. But the other redesigns are disappointing; the Achilles pad does make it easier to get on, but that pad has hard edges that made the ankle uncomfortable, on top of the redesigned lacing system with one less eyelet and one more hard plastic tab at the ankle. The toe box is narrower - and I have quite narrow feet. The weird swallowtail extending out at the back of the sole seems too exaggerated for a hiking boot. I am usually a 9.5 but the 9 fit.

Fit was good. However, the right boot is defective. I own the boot in blue. Loved them and so I ordered a second pair. The right boot of the second pair causes pain in my foot and knee. I can't wear them.

I first want to say the boots were great for the first few months until the sole towards the front became unglued on both shoes.Boots are comfortable but the worst is when I contacted them reguarding my warranty which is still a month away from expiring they told me it's too close to the warranty expiration date and also that is considered normal wear and tear.I couldnt believe that told me it's considered normal for your boot to become unglued.Just sucks I will never purchase another pair of hokas again and I never had a problem with the running shoe banda 8 but I will never give this company another penny after knowing they do not stand behind there product and tried every excuse to not honor the warranty. I wish I could upload the pictures of the chat I had with the representative but it's not letting me.

No cushion and the rivots for the shoelaces fub on my ankle bone even with thick socks. I'm a long standing fan of Hoka, but that might be a thing of the past :(
