The benefits of the shoes are far outweighed by the constant barrage of emails from the company. Excellent way to drive away new customers.

I really wanted to love these boots. I like everything about them except that they press painfully against the prominent bones on the insides of my ankles. I hoped this might improve the more I wore them, but it only got worse. I could not find any way to adjust the laces to prevent the pain. Sadly, I will have to return them.

Seems like a great shoe, although I wouldn't know because they were incredibly narrow.

Not comfortable for my planter fascitis. Usually Hoka is great.

Just past 60 days of wear and these have a defect where the seam is coming apart on the upper toe box area. I bought these after one week at my horticulturist, outdoors job because my feet were in so much pain. They've helped a ton and I love them, but I was disappointed in the quality after only a couple months. I reached out to Customer Service about a return/exchange and since I'm past 60 days I have to send these in for an evaluation that could take weeks before I'm offered a refund or replacement. I rely on these shoes daily for work and the agent suggested I purchase a new pair now and then "try to return these in hopes of a refund". I cannot afford to purchase a new pair without a refund first so this system seems flawed and only feasible for wealthier individuals. It's not inclusive and the agent didn't care to offer any resolution.

I'm in the market for hiking boots with ankle support. I have the low GTX Anacapas, but they are a bit too squishy for me so I wanted to try the Kahas. I tried these on at a local store and unfortunately they are too tight. I wear an 8 wide in the Bondi 8's, which I LOVE, so I tried on an 8 in these. The toe box is too narrow for me. The tongue is also too narrow, there were large gaps when I tried to lace them up. The sole felt like they could have been nice, but I had to pass.

I think these will take some getting used to because the ankle portion seems higher and the shoe is just a bigger footprint overall. Not as comfortable as my Summer Mids that I had for years. It was waterproof and comfortable, but the lining finally ripped so I had to get a new pair.

This shoe is so cute. They recommended size 9 based on my new balance size of 8.5 2e wide. Unfortunately the shoe is too tight and does not have any extra width.

i've worn Hokas for years and have always been a 9 (i'm a true 8.5 but size up for exercise). these are too roomy for me but wore them on a muddy hike, so they're mine now. I have to wear think socks to make them work. other than that, i love them.

Loved the look of these boots and they are lightweight...unfortunately they were too high above the ankle to be comfortable so I had to make a return:(

I need the wide toe box of the Bondi 8 (or the older versions of the other models built wide in front), then this isn't for you. It has a more narrow toe box and I found the cushioning only okay. The tread and grip of the shoes in slippery conditions was good. It's a good looking shoe/boot imo. But I wasn't able to wear them; very uncomfortable.

After exchanging for color 3x and finally finding a nice normal not all girled up brown color, I wore them hiking only to determine that they're just too narrow and kinda long. This lead to a somewhat unstable, sloppy feeling on the trail, not what I'm looking for in a hiking boot unfortunately. I don't think these will stretch enough, as the footbed itself is too narrow at the base. If they were offered in wide I might give them another try and maybe size down 1/2 size so they don't feel so long and clumsy. I feel the same way about the Anacapas, although the breeze ones have finally stretched just enough to be marginally ok for shorter hikes, please offer them in wide too!!!

These are extremely comfortable for walks on flat trails. However, I took them on a challenging hike today, and couldn't get up some steep slab - they were too slippery, while my hiking partner walked right up. I also didn't trust them in stream crossings hopping across wet rocks. Will definitely need to stick to moderate terrain if I keep these.

I got these boots a week ago. I wore them around the house in the morning. The next day I walked the dog in them. About three miles. I then hiked Mt Moosilaukee on Friday. A 4000 footer in the White Mountains. They felt great. Great support and traction. I was very pleased especially because I was hiking in them right out of the box. Monday night I walked the dog in them about two miles in the rain and my feet were soaking wett when I got home. They are not waterproof. The description on the website says they are waterproof. am very disappointed.

These look like they should be so cushioning, but alas, they didn't compare to the Columbia Thrive Endure shoes. Those are like walking on pillows!

I ended up returning them because the feel around the ankle is not stable and the tongue is too short. The tongue did not fit under the laces well enough.

I've worn Hoka's forever and love them. Upcoming Grand Canyon etc trip and needed new hiking boots. Loved the peach color. Super footbed, comfortable. However my ankle bones on the inside rubbed on both feet. Tried to change lacing to help 5 different ways but all still painful. Had to return (first time!) and went back to GTX which were comfortable from the start. Very happy with Hoka return policy and customer service. Really wanted to love but my anatomy didn't cooperate.

I think there was a pressure point from the grommet that was pressing on my ankles. All 3 Hoka models I tried did this. I couldn't imagine hiking all day in this. I then went to REI and tried 4 other brands, none of which hurt my ankles, but also none of which had the same cushiony footbed of a Hoka. Alas, since I needed a boot for hiking, I had to go with a non-Hoka brand.

Comfortable right out of the box. I'm on my feet all day and had no problem adjusting to these. True to size except I do find the heel cup a little narrow. I gave three stars for the mere fact that I do feel there are other options out there just as comfortable and durable and not as expensive. Excellent customer service with Hoka. Easy returns/exchanges.

received these as a gift as I normally wear anacapa boots hiking and wanted to try these. I wore them on one hike of 3 miles and they're terrible! The boot is so much narrower than the anacapa, and I would need a size up as well from my normal hoka size. Thess caused me some serious issues and pain. Luckily hoka has an excellent exchange policy because these were terrible :(

I was hoping for the same cushioning sole as I have with my last pair of Hokas. I like the ankle support, but the harder soles make my feet tired after a 45 minute walk.
