I sent them back. I had a major fall on my first walk with them. That never happened in the years of wearing Gaviota 2! It is like wearing platform shoes!

Shoes showed up with actual mud all over them. Soles were worn. Even show laces were tied as if someone just wore them. Usually I have a good Zappos service but this was horrible. Will be returning

I have flat feet and these shoes did not work for me. I wanted to try something different. However, the Gaviota 3 was the best.

I find it exasperating that HOKA named this new shoe, that looks nothing like the old Gaviota, and instead looks-like-every-other-knit-shoe-on-the-market-this-year, the Gaviota. Former Gaviota lovers KNOW how their old Gaviotas felt, fit, and functioned for their feet. Why, oh why, would they discontinue that design, with it's moccasin-style, and wide-shaped toe box that allowed room for toes to spread out and move without pressure, and its fantastic side-to-side support? My grubby old HOKAs aint' pretty, but I'm stuck with them for now.

This is the second pair of Hoka One's I have bought and the sole has a piece of rubber that is lifting up causing me to stumble. I had the pair just 1 month.

My feet hurt at the end of the day. Thought these were to be the best shoes but they are not. Wasted my money on these

I use these to stand on my feet all day. They are not comfortable at all and now I'm out of my warranty deadline to return because I work days and kept forgetting to return so now I'm out all this money!!!

This is only my second pair of Hokas, and I am so disappointed with the Gaviotas. Especially with the laces. They do not stay tied, and I have to stop running multiple times to tie them. I wish I gave the bondis another chance.

Everything great except not wide enough for a wide! Pinches my toe. Limped around for a week hoping it would get better and must return.

I was super excited to order these because I have plantar fasciitis. I received them and they are chunky and overall too roomy. I thought I'd have great support but the arches in them are less than my running shoes. They were super expensive which I would have been fine with had they worked for me.

I looooved all previous versions of the Gaviota. I'm not one to complain and I waited for these to come out. Super cheap quality. Not sure what happened to HOKA. I was a HOKA junkie - would wear nothing else. I am so disappointed I'm looking at other brands. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news but don't want you to spend the money. They are just not worth it!

Within weeks of wearing shoes, the tread came apart from the sole of the shoes, creating a tripping hazard. I experienced the same thing with another brand of Hoka shoes. Either company has poor quality manufacturing partner or it is trying to save money at the expense of quality. Because I found this on two different purchases, I will look at other brands in the future.

I had high expections for these after I read the reviews. I've heard nothing but good things about Hokas on facebook from other nurses. Love the color/style, they were roomy enough. They didn't feel as comfortable. No cushion. One side felt like the arch was bigger. The sole is larger so I felt like I was going to trip as soon as I put them on. Sure enough I almost face planted just going over the sidewalk curb from parking lot at work. Reviews said it made their back/hips feel so much better. Couple hours in and my feet feel like I'm walking on rocks, my back and hip hurts more and I feel like before this 16 hour shift is over I'm going to eat the floor if I don't remember to lift my feet more! If I fall, that's where I'll live out my days. Getting older and thicker, once you're down, it gets more and more difficult to get up. Instinct told me to bring my other sneakers. But of course, I told instinct to GTFO and it'll be fine. It's not fine, by any means. I've got another 16 hour shift tomorrow and didn't plan on going home (staying near work) which is over an hour away. Pray for me!!! ; )

These shoes are comfortable and relatively nice looking. However, the whole sole of this shoe are falling apart! Bottom is peeling little by little and I have only has them 3 months. In order for me to get a replacement I have to PURCHASE a new pair, THEN send back the old ones and if they deem it a defect, they will credit me. As you all know these shoes are EXPENSIVE. I usually don't mind price if they hold up well, but these are not! So for Hoka to tell me to BUY a new pair, and then go through the exchange process is Extremely unreasonable!! They should ask for a credit card, send me the NEW PAIR, and If I don't send back old pair within a certain time, THEN they can charge me!! I am on my feet all day and are still wearing these, I just keep pullling off the parts that are hanging! Everyone at my workplace will never buy Hoka's again, unfortunately, because while they last they are comfortable! for nearly $200 I expected them to last a little longer!

I have worn Hokas for years; I probably have 10 pair. The quality and craftsmanship is clearly in decline. I wore these for 2 wks before the black rubber sole came unglued; i sent them back, obtained a replacement pair. The replacement pair was worse! After wearing x 1 day at work (indoors), the entire tip of the L rubber sole came unglued. Disappointing.

The Gaviota 4 produces extreme pain on my feet whenever I am using them. They make me step towards the outside of my feet and I am unable to use them after 2 weeks. The return process with HOKA is as painful as these shoes, they won't provide you with a return shipping label even though the shoes were purchased at the Chicago HOKA Store and the return is due to manufacturing problems.

These looked nice, and I had high hopes. Zero support for pronation. Bad fit for me. I love Hoka shoes, but this style is a no. I wear a 9 1/2 to 10. 10 usually for work, with more time on feet, socks, comfort.

I ordered that style of sneakers because they said STABILITY, and I thought they would be stable for whatever problem I had with that. I have one foot that bends outward, not pronation, which bends inward, and these shoes were meant for that, so they didn't help me at all, & in fact made it worse. So when I returned them, I did tell the service person that was my problem, & to put in a suggestion that the opposite kind of stability should be produced also. I need the plush support, and loved my Bondi 6, which I have two pairs of, but had to order Bondi 7 when 6 was discontinued, and those just don't work as well for me, but I kept them. If you could make Bondi 6 again in size 6, I would definitely order some. I still need the stability of a pair that would help that leaning outward problem, and would also order a pair that is plush, but has that kind of stability. Thank you.
