I've worn gaviota's for a few years but this pair of gaviota 4 are nowhere as comfortable as the previous styles.

I tried on the Gaviota 4 at a local sporting goods store. They felt great, but the store did not have the color I wanted so I ordered a pair from the Hoka website. I received the Gaviota 4 in a timely fashion, etc. Unfortunately, this pair didn't fit as well as the pair in the store. I have no idea why. While waiting for the new Hoka's to arrive in the mail, I gave my old Brooks pair to the poor ... so I am stuck with the Gaviota 4 for now. I can get by, but will not be getting another pair when these wear out.

I typically wear a 9 but because of reviews I went with a 9.5. It was still way too small so I went with a 10 whivch didn't fit properly and was sent back also. I have not been issued a refund.

The width is 1/2 inch smaller. Sometimes they hurt when I wear them. Not as happy with them as the first pair I bought. What is your return policy. I went to a local store to see if they had them in stock to try them on but they did not have them. I am very disappointed in them.

I like the shoes, but the bottom started coming on less than 6 weeks after receiving them.

I bought 3 pairs - 8.5, 9 and then 9 wide and they all hurt my feet so bad.

I was looking forward to these shoes and all was great with them except for one thing that was a huge deal breaker. For some reason, in the right shoe only, the inner sole of my foot rested on the seam of the shoe where the top part is connected to the base of the shoe. It was the equivalent to having something in your shoe. It was very uncomfortable and I could tell that long wear would cause pain and probably a blister. I exchanged for a different pair. Don't know if it was the shoe itself or maybe a difference between my two feet but regardless, these were not for me.

My podiatrist put me in Gaviota 2 for stability to ease my plantar fasciitis pain so I wouldn't need to go to orthopedics yet. Not only were they comfortable in that way, though. I also have degenerative disc disease, so my low back hurts from the disc compression, and I have a titled pelvis from sitting so much for work. The Gaviota 2 had a dropped heel that stretched my calf (good for my plantar fasciitis) and tilted my pelvis back to where it should be (which also relieves pressure on my lumbar spine). I loved them and bought several pairs. Well, it's finally time for new shoes, so I tried the Gaviota 4. There's no heel drop so it's really an awkward feel. I've been wearing them around the house to try to get used to them, but I keep tripping. There's just too much heel there. I'll probably end up having to return them, but now what can I wear? The Gaviota 2 was just made for my body. I don't know how I'll ever find anything like that ever again.

I have the Gaviotte 2 wide size 7.5. I was hoping these would be close but they are very uncomfortable with the extreme role. Sadly have to return.

I work on my feet 12 hr days. I am unable to wear them for along period of time. It's a shame to spend a lot of money for shoes and they hurt my feet. I had to buy new insoles to be able to wear them for about 5 hours. Really disappointed.

Ugh. These would have been my fourth pair of Gaviota's. But something funky is going on with the sizing (as opposed to last year's version which tore easily). I tried the usual 8.5 wide and then tried a 9. Didnt fit. Switched to Bondi. Hope the sizing is true there.

These sneakers were so comfortable when I first put them on. I wore them for an hour or two a day at first. No problem. The problem occurred when I just wore them two days in a row for @ 8 hoursafter the second day I came home and just thought my feet were achy but then I felt my heel right below my ankle (on both feet) and found blisterswhy would that happen. I ordered these shoes in a wide width. My toe area feels great but my heels are now throbbing. Is there anyway to fix these shoes or can I just return them? I've never gotten blisters like these on that area of my foot, ever

Shoes are more comfortable than the 3, however, stitching on inside was done poorly and falling apart. I'm returning and hopefully was just a bad pair.

Most horrible shoes for an expensive shoe. Caused me bad foot pain. This was my first pair of Hoka and will be my last. Will never buy another pair of Hoka.

I have worn Hoka Bondi for years. I run on average 15 - 18 miles a week. The new Bondi 7 broke down within a few months so I returned them for Gaviota (recommended on the Hoka site "find your shoe”) These things are like running in bricks! They are describing them as plush and they do not feel that way at all. My Knees actually hurt when I ran in them. This might be my farewell to Hoka's for a while. These are definitely going back.

Love the color and look of this shoe, but it was the most uncomfortable Hoka I've tried, especially for the money.

This shoe is stiff and just walking around in it was uncomfortable for me. That said, all bodies are very different and this shoe may work great for somejust not me. I cannot recommend it.

Narrow for a traditional medium (B) width, especially in the toebox lateral side.
