Shoe is too narrow, even the wide size. Inserts from other shoes don't fit in there because it is too narrow

My review is coming from someone with a corrected hammertoe, a healed torn plantar fascia ligament, and chronic plantar fasciitis. I've owned 3 previous pairs of Gaviota 2 road running shoes in a size 8D (wide), and those each fit my feet the same, giving me exceptional support and allowed use of a special orthotic insert that I needed. Unfortunately, I am so disappointed in the new Gaviota 4 pair that I just received. Toe box is not nearly as wide and, in fact, is pushing on both sides of my toes in both shoes like a regular width shoe would (the Gaviota 2s did not do this and had a roomier toe box). Also, the overall shoe (as in the bottom cushion) is not nearly as wide. The heel area also fits more snugly. I'll be returning these, because I cannot wear the new style of Gaviota with the changes that Hoka made to what was a really exceptional shoe for those of us with wide feet and foot issues needing something more orthotic. These are probably fine for someone with a normal foot width in "wide."

Had to return this shoe as has no wide in total black shoe. A disappointment. I did get the other black one but it had white sole and markings. Not exactly what I wanted.

I gave them 2 stars for structure/stability and for style. However, I purchased these off of the basis that they were listed as very plush. They are not. Long standing or walking and my feet swell. I loved the Cliftons, but they lacked the arch support I wanted and thickness of plush.

The shoes fit nice but the inner lining is ripped and rubs against my feet. The inside of the was not plush at all the way I was led to believe. I am so disappointed. Next time I will not use the matching tool. I will just order on my own. These will be sent back.

The shoes came looking unfinished around the lace holes, otherwise cute. These are supposed to be high plush, these are the hardest shoes I've ever worn in my life. The width and size is nice, but overall, not too thrilled for close to $200.

This sneaker was not like my last orders. The toe is slightly pointed and tight. I sent them back.

I received these yesterday and took them for a spin this morning - returned home IN PAIN! I walked about a mile, that's all I could take. My ankles were throbbing, the back of my heels were rubbing, my toes went to sleep (NO they weren't tied too tight), and my knees were in pain. I am fan of the Boni, thought I'd try a different shoe....I am going back to the Bondi, these are terrible. Cushioning is minimal and very little arch support. I do love the color (festival fuchsia), that's about all of the positive things that I can say about this shoe. These will be going back.

These have been my go to for years but these are no where near as comfortable as my past pairs. Cushioning is minimal not what they used to be.

I'm a huge fan of Hoka bondi 7. The best sneaker I've ever worn. I tried the woman's Gaviota this time and did not care for them. I'm in healthcare and on my feet all day long. Bondi-7 is the way to go.

I purchased these shoes a few weeks ago and e every time that I put them on they hurt my feet at the end of walking. I wanted to try a new pair, because I had the Clifton 8 in the past and they were superb, but these are causing pain in my feet, knees and back. I would like to return these and go back to the Clifton. I cannot wear these anymore and I do not want to waste my money.

After reading some of the reviews on this shoe and searching for a new sneaker for over 2 months, this was not what I was hoping for. I have high arches and my foot never touched that area of the foot bed. Very disappointed. I am going to try Kuru brand to see if they work for my feet.

They are a sturdy shoe, but I may have gotten the wrong one for my foot. I have lots of foot pain at the end of the day. My orthopedic foot doctor recommended them. They mentioned the rocker bottom. I don't believe these have that. When I saw that this one was good for plantar fasciitis, I thought I would try this shoe because I have had problems with this in the past. I think for the problems I am currently having, the rocker bottom would have been better. I have heard people say Hoka shoes are like walking on clouds. I do not feel that with these. I was super hopeful though. Maybe there is another Hoka shoe out there that would be better.

I wear a 10B and in this shoe in a 10B, my toes were trying to stick out the end. Terrible fit! I actually checked the box, thinking they sent the wrong size. But the box said 10B (42) and so back they go. I am keeping the Bondi7, which had a nice large toe box and was the correct fit for me, in a 10B.

Was stoked for these, training for a marathon with a pronated foot and previous injury from running with zero-drop shoes.but these felt like running with clogs on. Overall cushion was too much for me and my right foot went numb for some reason, wasn't even tied tight, the toe box is a bit snug!

Shoes fit nice, in most places, I have high arch so have to spend even more money for special inserts, I walk 10 miles a day, shoes only are worn out in four months, wish they would last longer for the money.
