First, painfully uncomfortable. Something in the design was just poking at my outside arch, especially on the right side. And the inside of the shoes are just a thin veneer covering the outer leather - probably had something to do with the poking I experienced. As for hiking, I wouldn't go on any hike other than on a well paved road with these shoes. These are definitely not for actual hiking. They'd get torn apart in one mountain hike, and that would be in good weather. Sizing is very narrow. I can usually accommodate a D width (normal) but these were squeezing my feet like a vise. If your looking for comfort, quality and an actual hiking boot/shoe - go to the real brands who specialize (Danner maybe?) Company is also very difficult to deal with and you'll notice a cheeky response apologizing for any inconveniences.

My mom bought these shoes for my boyfriend for Christmas. He had a pair of boots that were on their last legs that he wanted to wear out. These shoes sat in the box for about a year untouched before he was ready for them. Not even 10 hikes in, (around 50 miles total) the traction has started to peel of the sole. Like straight up falling off. The boots were comfortable for him and came highly recommended, but the quality was terrible. We think it was an issue with the adhesive that was used. He has tried to superglue the traction back on since we reached out to Hoka twice and have not had any response. He just bought another brand of boots that will hopefuly have less issues. I have made sure to share this story with people in the market for hiking boots and told them not to spend the money on Hokas as they will fall apart within 6 months.

I it is light weight and looks good but after a 8 miles hike I had blisters on the side of my heel. It kinda sunk in and created a sharp edge rubbing against inner side of my heel. I have blisters on both heels. Returned it today.

Returning after 1 use. Nothing like older Hoka's with real materials, steel eyelets, lace locks, neat & tight thread work, and lasting materials. I had too many loose unsecured threads to count and in important areas. My last two pairs of Hoka's both these & Speedgoat 5 were disappointments. Built to fail!
I've been a Hoka wearer prior to the big brand surge. Something isn't the same. Printing return label now.

I had my previous boots for several years and it was time to update after I ran them into the ground. I was ready to to invest in some nicer ones, have had some previous shoes from hoka, and after seeing some decent reviews decided to give them a go. After one hike the foam above the sole started to shred apart. I was genuinely surprised because my girlfriend has the women's version and hers stood up all week just fine. I'm hoping I got a defective pair because we weren't doing anything crazy that would cause this kind of damage. I'm currently in the works of exchanging per the customer service conversation, will update after an exchange, so we'll see.

These are the most expensive shoes I've bought in my life. I'm very disappointed in the shoes and Hoka customer service. These shoes did not last 2 weeks even. I work with dogs for a living and I'm on trails pavement etc. 2 weeks the stitching came out by big toe on both shoes. The line guides on ankle broke off as well. Hoka please contact me

I haven't put much mileage on my hiking boots but that is because the arch support is uncomfortably high for me, even though I have normal arches. I may have to return them soon.

Shoes were big and bulky. Felt like I had bubble wrap duct taped to my feet. I love the Hoka Clifton 9 I bought from Zappos a couple of months ago but these are not comfortable shoes.

My husband loved his last pair of Kahas so I reordered. This pair had been changed so much. The sole around the heel is really wide and the fit was different so we returned. Trying a pair of Kalaharis (sp?)

Exasperated. I would have thought that after sending the first pair of these back for blemishes that quality control would have looked the 2nd pair over before shipping. It would be nice to get a pair that is in brand new condition. There is a fold/crease on each boot that looks irregular in the exterior material. Very disappointed. These are going to have to be returned they are worse that the first pair. For this price this should not happen, especially twice.

I received my Kaha 2 GTX boots to replace an old pair of Asolo boots and I was greatly disappointed at the quality of the new boots. The tinge on one on the shoes is sewn creoles and it doesn't line up straight. The tongues are too short and if you tie the boot all the way up the laces end up rubbing against your socks as the tongues sit barely higher than the top of the lace eyelets. V
Very dissatisfied with the purchase. I should have returned them and now I am stuck with shoes I don't even want to wear.

I wish I hadn't bought them
I enjoy every pair of my HOKA's
I have seven pairs of them
However this pair kills my left little toe area
All of them are them are the same size 10
This shoe fills like it was miss sewed. Or something

I "tried" these shoes as suggested by the chat person with whom I spoke. These shoes look very nice and if I was a "hiker" they probably would have worked. I sent them back with no trouble at all and they were exchanged for a Challenger Gore-tex shoe. I have worn them twice not when walking on wet sidewalks and streets and they are terrific.

I bought my first pair of Kaha's in 2019 and they were fantastic. Covered lots of miles and they held up with no problems. I bought a second pair in October 2022 as the old ones were starting to look a bit worn (though I still wear them to work in the yard). The new pair seemed fine at first, then the toe cap started to peal away on one foot, and the other day I noticed that the tread was starting to peel away in 4 places on both feet. I use these exclusively for hiking and the new pair has less than 50 miles. I called for a warranty and was told that even though they're barely over a year old and still look new, they won't honor the warranty. I've been a devoted customer since I bought my first pair of Cliftons in 2015.

This is not a heavy duty trail shoe despite its looks. It will not hold up on rocky surfaces. The sole cushion area was just torn to pieces the first time I hiked on a rocky surface. Colleagues were using speed goats did not have this problem. I also bought this shoe at three different places, returned the first two because fit was not right, i.e. the crease on across the front of the foot was just not right. Last one, despite breaking in on treadmill and paved roads, gave me a bad blister on the heal.

My husband wanted to purchase these for him. After reading a few reviews I said no. Needless to say I purchased them for him and he wore them for 2 hours and he said no way they hurt his feet so bad he told me to give them away. I gave them away to my grandson they both wear the same size shoe. Hopefully my grandson will enjoy them. I will have to wait and see how his feet feel in them.

I ordered these boots to wear on patrol while policing. They were the most comfortable boots I have ever wore. However, within the first month, the sole began to come apart from the bottom of the boot. I contacted Hoka support and they told me that I would need to ship them in so they could see if this would qualify for being covered under warranty. They also informed me that the process would take upwards of 2 weeks even if it was covered.
Something to think about before purchasing.
