I would absolutely love this shoe, IF ONLY Hoka offered it in a Wide. I wanted to make them work so bad, I bought them anyway - but now my feet are killing me. Will be returning - do better Hoka!!

Toe box collapsed in the first week. A couple of hard seems make it less than ideal for comfort.

Design is nice. Good looking boot for hiking or working, but the Insole is very hard. No Support would not recommend it to anyone who looking for to stand all day or to work in the industry all day. Very prices not good quality at all for the price if you're looking for support do not buy it. It's just for look boot!.

Boot design with too many hooks for lacing up makes for very tedious on & off.

I was so excited for this shoe when it arrived. It's beautiful, looks impressive & exact to the photo, and was described with all the requirements I need of it. I read the comments, was careful about measuring & sizing as people advised, and never experienced the toe or short tongue issue that has been mentioned in other reviews. However, as soon as I put these on, it was like walking on wooden blocks wrapped in fabric. None of the visibly thick sole or the description of plushness translate to the fit. I feel like both of my heels are bruised. They're so uncomfortable I don't want to wear them again, and I'll be returning these as soon as possible for a refund. I'm honestly floored by how bad this shoe was, especially considering the cost. Honestly, the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn.

I bought these on 7/1 and hiked two days in the Rockies on 7/5-7/6. My left traction grips on the bottom of my sole ripped off. Very upset that I only used these for two days and the bottom of my left boot doesn't have any traction anymore. Would love a new pair to get sent to me.

I am the proud owner of a pair of Stinson Mid GORE-TEX hiking boots. These boots are simply the greatest boots, hands-down, I have ever owned. I have worn them literally everywhere, all the time. I even spilled diesel fuel on one of them and got it cleaned up without issues. I am now wearing them out. I tried these Kaha boots. Just another high-priced boot without the comfort of the Stinsons. My feet are tough- got a surgically rebuilt right ankle. But the Stinsons- I can hike, snowshoe, work, walk around-total comfort! Come on Hokie- bring the Stinsons back! I won't buy another boot from you until you do.

I have a pair I purchased in 2019 that are phenomenal that finally became slick on the bottom (but STILL stay pretty dry in damp areas). Not everyday use, but pretty often. I spent the money on a new pair and they are not near the quality. For about $240, they are a huge let down. Not nearly as comfortable on my feet and knees and result in twice the fatigue as my old ones. Hoka is going downhill very fast. I just got another pair of tennis shoes, didn't learn my lesson, they got me good, and they are killing my feet simply put. Time to go back to Brooks and deal with them breaking down after a few months, but at least they start out comfortable.

Changed lacing system and ankle height were not the best changes for these boots. Still comfortable, unsure exactly why they were changed from the original but after wearing the original KAHA's for three years it sucks to be disappointed with my first HOKA product. I wear these for patrol in law enforcement in an area that experiences all seasons. I've recommended and gotten multiple officers in the area to buy HOKA's for work but I don't think I'll be pushing to recommend these as I was the original.

Thank god I had another pair of the previous generation. Personally, I don't think the swallow tail is necessary on an already bulky boot. Plus the tongue issue. It is a good back packing boot, even for big guys. Durability is average for hiking, but I admit I haven't put big miles on it. The blown foam will compress with a lot of weight over time which I guess adds to stability. Of course, side hilling is not Hoka's forte because of the stack height. It is the lightest of light work boots. It was wearing quickly with a home renovation, not even close to the demands required of physical blue collar work. But it's not designed for that. I continue to be a Hoka fan and hope they take a step backwards and go with a more traditional design.

I waited six months to write this review because I wanted to see how these boots held up. After six months I've concluded they do not hold up. The eyelets are already pulling out and the stitching around the toe is starting to separate. At this price point I expected better, as my Danners easily lasted over a year if not longer. I will say before these boots started falling apart, I thought they were the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn at work. I work 11 hour shifts as a police officer and spend hours a day on my feet. The soles of these boots have held up well. There were two other issues with these boots that didn't bother me to much because of how comfortable they were. The tongue isn't long enough and the laces frequently slip above the tongue causing the boots to loosen up. The other was the color of the boots. They were not black. They had a green hue to them. Boot polish fixed that.

I thought that getting these boots from Hoka would be an expensive but safe bet when choosing my next tactical boot. However, despite the appearance of being very comfortable (given the obvious large amount of sole), my feet get sore in simply just a couple hours. The fit is true to size, but I am disappointed for how expensive they are for the lack of comfort compared to several other boots I have had. I am 5'11 and 187lbs. It seems like it is made to appear as if it is a cushioned boot without actually providing any support.

Nicely made boot but it felt like there was no cushioning across entire foot bed. No give. Rubber bottom, especially at heel, felt hard and unforgiving even on natural terrain. Thus, boot was uncomfortable for me and that is why I returned it.

I have been searching for GTX hiking shoes for some time now, I have tried several Hoka GTX Hiking shoes. This was the widest they say available. I wanted to really like these shoes but for some reason my feet feel like they are being squeezed, I never really had shoes that made it this uncomfortable. Maybe their low cut wide would be better but I'm looking for a Mid to High Cut. Unfortunately, Hoka is not for me for now.

Need extra wide width for KAHA 2 GTX, even though bought the right length but too narrow for the width (about 0.2 inches too narrow).

These are good looking hiking boots. However, because the description for these said "peak plushness," my husband expected them to feel as cushioned as the Cliftons or better. Unfortunately, they came no where near that. He's a bit picky and I didn't put my feet into them to feel for myself, but considering what they cost and the description given in the listing, he was both outraged and disappointed. To be exact, he said they didn't feel any more comfortable or cushioned than his everyday work boots! So, he had me print the return label immediately after he tried them on and took them off which was about 5 minutes after they arrived.

First of all, they look great and are stylish. The Gor-Tex adds a nice weatherproof touch but I wanted a boot that I could use for work that had similar impact softness to my Challenger 7's. These boots have the "Plush" rating so I was expecting them to be easy on the knees since I walk 8 miles a day for work. I must say, they weren't half as soft as the Challenger 7 and I couldn't wear them for more than a couple hours. Not sure if I got a dud but they did not meet expectations. I returned my boots.

These boots fit really well, I have the toe ultra hi too, these are a bit more plush. The only problem is, I took them on a hike in Montana, they got wet, and now the coloring is off and they are no longer waterproof! Great hiking shoe, just don't get them wet lol (even though they are designed to withstand some water)
