They look cool and they felt great at first and it seemed my feet were stable and the cushioning was as promised 4 weeks in , sole inside of the foot sticks into the foot and hurts. Not happy with the comfort of the shoe My partner returned his as he had issues with his from the get go Disappointed this is not the brand for me and glad i did not buy the two pairs i originally wanted

Obviously previously worn. Not in a Hoka box, no form maintaining temp inserts. Not nearly as comfortable as other Hoka's I've own.. Bondi 7 was better. Toe box oddly small. Returning

Good overall, but the insoles come slightly bent on the sides. It gave me blisters from rubbing.

Although the shoe was fine, in my line of work, the sole was too sticky, as I work on concrete, and other slick surfaces. I found myself repeatedly tripping over my own feet, especially when the laces would constantly come untied. Had to double knot. Also after 6 months, the shoe tonge had separated from the main part of the shoe, will now need to replace the shoe.

I thought that the Hoka brand was supposed to be one of the most comfortable shoes there was. Well, after trying it on around the house (felt ok) I wore them outside. Well, after wearing them outside, I changed my mind. Maybe for other people it's a good shoe for me, the answer is no. Just didn't seem to fit all that well.

Too tight of a fit. Thought it would break in but has not.

I was told (by foot dr. And friends) Hokka shoes would be amazing for someone who has sore feet from standing on their feet all day and needs comfort and support. Far from that. For almost two hundred dollars I should be walking on clouds. I get better comfort from a fifty dollar pair of shoes. Extremely dissatisfied.

After wearing a pair of Hoka Bondi 7s, I wanted a shoe with more stability. While the Bondi was very comfortable, the Gaviota 4 was not. I could not wear them. They were returned and the refund was very prompt. I do like the return policy and I may try another pair at a later date.

The older versions of the Gaviota were the best running shoes ever made for wide options. Unfortunately they have changed and most styles now in addition to the Gaviota have gotten narrower through the arch area and it is becoming impossible to find a Hoka version that accommodates those of us who need the extra width.

Hoka is a great product. #1 in my book. However, this was my 2nd attempt at using Gaviota's and the result was the same no bueno at least for me. The Gaviota 4's looked good on paper spec wise and ascetics are good in person, and the fit well. BUT, they made my feet hurt after walks and jogs. I tried breaking them in with a few runs and I felt like my feet were screaming at me to remove them. My Solomon's never gave me this issue. Fortunately, Hoka has a 39-day return policy and I swapped them out for Bondi 8's. I've used a Bondi line in the past (maybe 7 years ago) and they were wonderful. I'm a 300 pound runner so comfort means a lot to me especially for long runs. I should have my Bindi's by Saturday night. I hope they are the perfect shoe for my body type. I need them to help me power thru my half marathon training that I'm currently doing. Race is on 3/27 in Pearland, TX. Hoka do you want to sponsor me with new shoes? I can be your big man brand ambassador. :)

This is 2nd pair for my husband. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because after just a couple months his big toe poked through the top (which has happened with other shoes) But decided to try again because he loves the shoes. He's on his feet all day at work and these are the best he's found.

This was our 5th purchase of HOKAs. The first 4 were the best shoes ever-- setting a new standard for footwear. This one did not live up to expectations, leaving my toes hurting after wearing for a long time.

Bought these because of the rave reviews. After a few weeks of wearing them the heals feel like they have stopped supporting and the good cushion they had originally feels hard. I've only had them like 3 weeks. I just use them for walking, daily.

Love hokas! A huge fan of the Bondi 7s. The Gaviotas were not plush as the description indicates. They are a very stiff soled shoe. Good for pronation but too stiff for comfort. Design quality is lacking in the Gaviotas. The 2nd time I put on my shoe the heel loop, designed for pulling the shoe onto the foot, snapped.

After hearing good remarks about the shoes I spent almost $200 because I'm on my feet all day and I thought these shoes would help reduce the pressure on my feet. After almost a month of wearing them, my feet still hurt just as much as when I had $100 sketchers.

Great looking shoe. however, once I put it on I knew it was not for me. The shoe is very narrow in the medial area which made the edge of my arch to stick out. I was not expecting this from a stability shoe, very odd. Also, the shoes made a loud squeaking noise when I walked on them, no matter what surface in my house I walked on (floor or carpet). Returning them.

This model does not provide any where near the support that the Gaviota 3 provided. On average I walk 33 miles a week for exercise. With the Gaviota 3 I never felt any knee or ankle pain. Wearing the Gaviota 4 I feel it all. The cushion and support is less. Wearing this shoe I feel like I am on the ground. I never felt like that with the Gaviota 3. When I put my pair of 4s next to my old pair of 3s the 3s sit higher. If I would have known I would have bough every pair of Gaviota 3s I could find before they were all gone. I will definitely be looking for a new shoe.

This shoe provides good stability, but it comes at a price for the cushioning. I like the look, but it's feel is a bit more rigid.
